I'm a Canadian VO artist and my review will be based on my experience using the Canadian VO Premium version.
1. You are only allowed to see auditions for jobs in the Country in which you live. This makes NO sense for VO work, as most of the advertised auditions are for performers with home studios. In other words, they could hire anyone, anywhere to do the job. My current and past freelance VO clients are all in the US or the UK.
2. Most of the jobs posted pay less than minimum wage or want you to work for "exposure". There are never any union gigs up for grabs.
3. Most of the jobs posted in the VO section are for Radio Announcers/Hosts. These are usually the kind of jobs that are posted under "journalism" as they usually require at least 3 years experience in the Radio Production or Journalism fields
4. Most of the auditions are widely posted elsewhere for FREE.
5. Their Support claims that they post about 200 VO auditions monthly. The number is closer to 20-30
6. I got creepy messages from randos who liked my photo.
7. They have a feature so you can see how many people with Mandy accounts are viewing your profile and how many times you come up in searches. In theory, this is a great feature. In reality, 9 times out of 10 the only people viewing your profile are other VO artists looking for work.
8. You cannot view the profiles of potential employers, EVEN IF the send you messages or make you an offer.
Sorry to say, but Mandy.com reeks of scam. I don't think it's intentional, the platform is just badly researched and ignorant of how the VO industry works or the kinds of features that VO artists need. Save your money.

The Mandy Network is developing our presence within the Voices sector in Canada, and we are working daily to increase our posts to these boards. We do post over 200 roles a month across our voices sector, worldwide. Our boards are restricted by region, however, every employer is asked whether or not they are happy to accept submissions from international applicants, and roles, where this is confirmed, are of course shared to all relevant boards.
We vet all jobs and employers and as stated in our policies, we do post a wide range of jobs requiring Voiceover skills to give candidates as many opportunities as we can. This includes all forms of media, scales of pay and contract. Standard users are able to apply for any of the roles posted to our Opportunities boards, which are specifically for voluntarily or low paid opportunities. Our Paid Jobs Boards are only part of our Premium service and only roles that meet our minimum wage requirement will be posted here.
We're sorry to hear you had contact from individuals that made you uncomfortable. We have a 'Report' function for all internal mail, and will investigate every report and take action where required, to remove users from the network should they have broken our Terms.

If you like to earn more than an absolute minimum wage you have to stay away from this. Rather go the old fashioned way, this is just terrible.
Hello Jurgen, Thank you for your feedback I'm sorry the at you feel this way. We are not an enforcing body and thus can only ensure that minimum wage is met for all of our Paid Job posts. It's an ok site, there's lots of varied jobs which is nice but there is a huge amount of very low paid work. Jobs come in daily which is good.
