Update on a past review because I've actually paid for the annual subscription fee so time for some more info. It's awful. Truly awful.
Send apps for loads of low paid freelance jobs and Mandy actually tells you that they haven't been read! The jobs posted that say "email directly" also don't get a reply.
Applied for approx. 20 this year... heard nothing back. I'm experienced, good broadcast and film credits, loads of corporate work.
This site is riddled with amateurs taking the piss with ridiculously low pay and high demands.
SAVE YOUR MONEY! DON'T PAY FOR A PREMIUM SUB BECAUSE NOTHING GOOD WILL COME FROM IT.
Easy to navigate and set up a free profile. It's great to have a site like this available for freelance filmmakers. I will see if the site delivers on what it claims in connecting us with jobs.

I'm very new to Mandy only starting to understand how it works. Great opportunities to see what jobs are available but I do feel the monthly cost is quite expensive.

Applied for plenty of jobs on Mandy. Some are ok, but a lot of listings are no pay, expenses only that kind thing. New site not bad though, big improvement

While we do list low pay or profit share vacancies under our 'Opportunities' section, we are very strict about what we post. You can find our full policy here – https://actors.mandy.com/uk/policy/opportunities-policy – but our main point is that opportunities should be genuine chances for our members to advance their careers. With both our Jobs and Opportunites boards in mind, we work closely with local unions and associations to drive positive change in our industry and improve the jobs that we list.
I appreciate that not everybody wants to hear about expenses-only work, so it's easy to switch these notifications off in your mail settings. You shouldn't see an expenses-only / sub-minimum wage listing on our jobs board.

I'd recommend Mandy, especially for when you're first starting out. Some of the jobs have very low rates but I found very nice ones too. Best of luck!

Through Mandy, I could never get any decent job that pays over $200/day. I'm a professional sound mixer, by saying this I meant it - I have SD664, multiple DPA/lectrosonic lavs and timecode sync. There is no decent job here, the on-site email system is preventing your employer to contact you becuase I also tired to hire someone through Mandy.com - it is absolutely not a pleasure experience.
Also last week I got an email from a guy claims that he is from Mandy.com and trying to offer me a job which later discovered as a scam, or a drug dealer becuase he asked me to "move money to his vendor".
