I have been using Mandy Network for a few months, and I have been pretty impressed with it so far. I like how they notify you when your credits have been verified and when someone looks at your profile. One of the downsides to using this site is that to use any of the beneficial parts of the site; you have to be a premium user (which I also understand as they have to make money somehow).

So i got a mandy profile after seeing it listed on IMDB and in all honesty not only have I enjoyed using the website, I've also found it extremely helpful in finding jobs and people to connect with. Its assisted me to connect on projects i'd initially found hard to get onto and i really appreciate the interface, it's easy to use and relevant.

This company provides a virtual receptionist by the name of Mandy. She has a great voice and she is efficient. She takes your messages for you and she locates you by dialing all the numbers you put in for locate purposes up to 3 or 4 I believe. Her messages are both sent to your email address where you can playback the actual caller's message. You can also call the Mandy number and get playback of the message and then return the call by pushing the button. When Mandy puts your caller on hold then there is music playing in the background. It is very inexpensive and yet does the job. Great overall site and service.

The site is clear and very easy to navigate. I love that i receive tailored jobs to meet my profile - this is a great perk of being able to select from a range of pre-existing options on the flatform about experience and talents.

Have to pay to apply to jobs, crazy they are only loosing customers/candidates for the people paying to post the jobs. If you pay to post a job you expect to have the widest array of candidates available. Well not here you only get the people who are paying to subscribe to the job board. Very bad business practice makes no scenes other then to try to collect as much money as possible before there site looses all the customers. DOOMED TO FAIL...

I signed up for Mandy recently, added my headshot and filled out my profile. I'm super pleased with how many options there were to add information to my profile to make sure I can list all my skills and and experiences to get more accurate matches.

I love how they continue to send new job alerts that typically I wouldn't see or remember to check! They allow you to custom the alerts based off of the job you're looking for in the industry! Also you can have an active profile for employers to find you!

Mandy is a great site to get your foot in the door to any part of the creative film and television industry! I found out from a coworker about this site and have found a few paid gigs from it! Its great for anyone interested in either getting a foot in the industry

I was a member of Star Now for 10 years and didn't get a single paid job, only TFP work. As soon as I joined Mandy I had 5 paid jobs in 1 month. It is pure luck though because some months aren't as busy... However I only get paid work on Mandy and it's very professional.
I recommended my mum too and she got an over 50s modelling job for Lumen in her first week.
I currently have separate profiles as a model, dancer and TV Extra, and there are ongoing updated jobs coming in for all ages.
I would recommend to everyone and my only regret is wasting 10 years of membership on Star Now, when I could have joined Mandy.
The only down side to the site is having to wait for photos to be approved, so if you're in a rush to upload something it can take 24 hours.

Mandy is a necessary and revolutionary way for creatives and starting out filmmakers to get work and a foot in the door. The site layout is clean and intuitive. While the paid aspect adds an unnecessary wall for some, it provides an opportunity for creatives to get work!

The only job inquires I have received from this site have been from fakes. Luckily if you do research, it's easy to tell since they relay obvious discrepancies from the websites of the companies they are pretending to be. (For example the website will say the company is based in London when the person contacting me is caliming they are based in the us) It truely bothers me that Mandy Crews is handing out my personal information to people who most likley have ill intent. I hate to find out what happens to those who don't do research ahead of time. I have attempted to have them remove my profile from the website on multiple occasions but have been ignored. I also dislike the idea of having to pay to apply to a job, definitely scammy. I haven't spent any money but after my experience as a regular member I refuse to.

I opened an account hoping to get some (voice) acting gigs, but only AFTER I opened an account and tried to apply for a paid job did they mention there's a little something called Premium account, which is required to apply for paid jobs! As someone said, I shouldn't have to pay to look and apply for jobs, what the hell? Also, I got an offer for short voice acting saying my phone recording sent through messaging will be fine, and I have no means to verify if the guy is serious about it, if he'll just take a recording without paying (bad scenario) or if he'll misuse my voice (in worst-case scenario)? How does Mandy protect people in such cases?!

It went from completely free, to 5 free per month unless you buy a premium membership, now it looks like you can't apply at all unless you pay. What is worse is that with my premium membership which recently expired, for many postings you were redirected to the employer's site to apply rather than using the quick and easy method within Mandy. So it is just not worth it anymore. I have been keeping a spreadsheet of the NYC production companies that have been posting over the years, so I will just start bugging them on my own as I see fit. I find it interesting how often some companies seem to re-post the same job. Are they hiring the wrong people, or are they a toxic environment? Also, I had much more luck years ago when I was YOUNGER and LESS EXPERIENCED and there were infinitely fewer production venues - get the picture?

There are loads of opportunities on this website. It is great for student films and even better if you get the premium version. I would recommend this to all filmmakers or aspiring.
