Through the use of Mandy I got in touch with someone and earned my first executive producer credit on a full length feature film. I highly recommend Mandy, it is one of the best job sites for people in the film industry.
Helpful in learning how these kinds of sites work. More listings for acting than VO and apparently you are supposed to pay premium for EACH profile. Will not let me apply for extra work on acting frofile without paying again, so I am writing this review.

I am not sure why Mandy approached me to join, but after I went in I was enthusiastic at the possibilities. I am not an actor - yet - but now I have aspirations that I can one day be the one narrating documentaries in the Discovery Channel, National Geographic, etc. or even making voice over in Disney's animated movies! In short: Mandy seems like a great place to exhibit - your talents, your act.

As a young actor myself, I have been using The Mandy Network for almost a year and have found it to be very useful. I am able to view all of the latest castings that fit my profile and I am able to make contact with so many experienced professionals. Definitely worth while for any young actor!

I have recently been made redundant and I am now on the lookout for new opportunities. I've had a Mandy account for quite sometime and I've seen through there emails and Twitter page, that they have a lot of jobs posted on there. After looking recently I found so many jobs that I can apply for relating directly to what I want to do or another role in production.

While, I have used mandy since 2003, I found it hard to pay to see better listings, mandy was great when it was a non paying site; however, in looking at it again, I signed up and I received no greeting email, to have password, I tried to info them@ their *******@mandy.com, and it was returned:

I was quite new to the acting business and Mandy really helped me find roles. I actually got my first feature film role through Mandy. Not only this but I got a few commercial roles too. I really think Mandy is probably the best platform for Actors.
Mandy.com is a great site, I have only ever had great experiences, all of my casting calls have been legit, which has been an issue for me on other sites,

Both jobs that I found through the site have ended up with major difficulties due to the unprofessionalism of the client.

In the two years or so that I've had a Mandy/Film & TV Pro profile, I've had three jobs, none of which were paid well or professional. Too many jobs being posted by amateurs who are demanding expertise, years of experience and loads of very expensive equipment that barely meets minimum wage at the hourly rate, then they want you to do extra work outside of the daily rate which ends up breaking the law.
If you want a platform that doesn't rip you off and only deals with professionals, use Production Base.
During this unsure time when work is difficult its great to explore options with commitment. We all want to make money but it's hard to pay for multiple casting or agencies with the competition is so great Thanks!

It makes you give a lot of personal information to be able to see the jobs. After you passed all the process, it doesn't let you to even read the full job description without paying. Really, don't waste your time here.

It can be tough trying to network and find freelance writing work when you're new to a city, but being on Mandy has made the whole process so much easier, and meant that I've made great contacts and got jobs that I would never have managed to get otherwise.

I'm so sad and disappointed that I have to give Mandy a 1 star review, as I had been a happy active, paying member as both an Actor and Voice Artist on the site for many years, since it was formally Casting Call Pro & Voices Pro. Unfortunately the company was recently taken over by Backstage.com and they really have ruined what was a wonderful resource for professional performers, since the take over the sites features have been steadily broken apart and services reduced, and more importantly the number and quality of jobs on offer has fallen through the floor, basically making it less than useless to professional performers looking for jobs paying minimum industry standard rates
Mandy has been vital for me in progressing my career as an actor and a lot of the work I have received through Mandy has led onto more work. It's also a great platform to connect with other creatives and performers and to get advice using the 'Forums' section'. I would recommend this site to any actor wishing to better their career.
