“Amazing Quality of Product”

Purchased couple 80% AR 15 lowers and jig from M1 Machining, very happy about quality. Took a bit longer than I expected for shipping, but those couple extra days were surely worth it. Billet is solid quality, beautiful look, easy to mill. Will return for my AR10 long range project!

“Misleading sales and zero customer support”

Talked with the owner, James 3/13/17 as a 5 for 4 offer had come out shortly after I ordered 3 80%. James said he would honor the new offer. James asked that I email him directly with the new order number so that he could add the extra lower. I ordered 1 80% caracote for 100$, sent James the info and was shipped 1 (one) 80% lower. I contacted James immediately and he said he would take care of it. That was almost 2 months ago. Multiple un answered phone calls and emails. I feel like he cheated me into buying another lower. There are a lot of other companies that want your business and respect their customer.

Here in IN we can use. 300 blackout for Whitetail for the 2016 season. Gave me a new reason to buy a new gun. With some research found m1 machineing. Took a few weeks to ship but had good communication with James through the wait time. 80% lower and jig came in... pretty easy process to do had, a couple questions while making it and the guys got right back to me. Quality seems to be good and good communication. If I ever build another I will buy from them again.

I looked around for a while for a new jig for my AR 10. When I got it in the mail, which shipped very quickly btw, it fit together perfectly with my receiver I got from them the month before. I am working on completing my ghost gun and will continue to use them in the future.

I ordered a lower receiver and jig. Took almost two weeks to leave there warehouse. Website said there were delays due to holidays season. I received the items and went to work. Jig doesn't work very well because your only drilling from on side. It kind of ruins the hole on the other side. Had to get anti walk pins to cover it up. Lower receiver is a good product. Looks good and milled out good. Wanted to order a matching upper but they are still "coming soon". Also now it says the are moving to Texas and there's more shipping delays. 4-6 weeks pet there website. Basically, good receiver, junk jig. Don't ordering if you don't want to wait a month.

Good afternoon Don Kruger. This is James Hampton with M1 Machining. I completely understand your frustration with the situation. I do want to correct a few issues that you have stated that are not accurate. When you contacted M1 Machining it was after our buy 4 get 5th for free and you asked if we would honor that deal for you. I agreed that we would. That second order for the 4th lower to receive the free lower was March 13th. Today is April 17 so its been 1 month. We are absolutely wrong for being this delayed in shipping your product out. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of our Coaters as you ordered an AR15 Billet Cerakote FDE. I am not making excuses for ourselves and I personally take full responsibility for the delay. I always ask that when writing a review that you talk about the good along with the bad and the fact we offered to give you that special deal even when the sale was over was a kind thing for M1 Machining to do and those good things always seem to be overlooked in a persons reviews. I have already had my shipping manager package up your FDE Billet Lower and that should be in the mail by end of day today. God Bless!

I have made 10 80% lowers using 4 different jig and this by far is the best product I have seen so far. There were some issues but since I had done so many in the past I could make adjustments. I have seen the negative reviews but I personally am very happy with the total package. The instructions does needs some tweaks and maybe the company should consider putting up a video of the actual machining process. I am making a video to help out my fellow 80% ers. Unfortunately there is always issues with every company but its how they handle them that set some apart from others. Again I am very happy with M1 and will be ordering another.

I have read several reviews on lowers including some about M1 Machining, and I must admit I was a little skeptical placing my order, but I am glad I did. I received my M1 Machining AR10 80% lower, and I am pretty impressed with the quality of this part. I finished it out (with a minor blemish in the rear take down pocket) and matched it up to my DPMS 308 upper and it looks great! I have built 3 lowers now from different companies and I must say this is my favorite. When I ordered my 10, M1 was on back order and even knowing that it took longer than I expected to get to me, but I was looking on their website to order a 15 and they are back in stock. Another cool note, a lot of folks charge shipping with their lowers which can be anywhere from 8$ to 15$ and M1 ships for free which makes them one of the least expensive billet lowers on the market.

Tip for consumers:
M1 Machining seems to respond better to emails than phone calls in my experience but overall I cant complain.

I was a little skeptical with some of the reviews I've read about this company, but in the end decided to go for it. M1 machining has excellent prices and no shipping cost which is great. When I received my 80% lower, it was in great condition and was exactly what I was I looking for. Had to do a small amount of drilling on my own for the holes to line up, but overall I got what I wanted. I don't know why all the bad reviews but my experience with M1 Machining was excellent and even talked to the owner James on the phone and he helped explain the instructions to me a little better on where I was getting confused. Will definitely go with them again when I start my next build.

I ordered a 80% Lower from M1 Machining. I then found out that they made a bad product and had bad customer service so I canceled my order. I was called by the owner who said he would send me a refund minus a 15% credit card charge. Well After 30 days and sending more emails I didn't receive a refund. I had to contact my credit card and after sending them proof I never got a refund or the item they took the charge off. A 15% Restocking fee for something that hasn't even been made yet or shipped is ridiculous. If a credit card charge is reversed he would get back any fees, he would end up making 15% profit for nothing.

Hello Sir/Ma'am. We appreciate your feedback that is the only way we will get better as a Company. We have done a search and we have no record of a Daniel M. Who has ever purchased from M1 Machining. Can you provide the last 6 digits of your order number so I can look into this. In regards to the reason you canceled your order. You assumed we made a bad product due to a review on another website. We were not forwarded a chance to provide you a great product. Every company such as Honda, Bose and Sony all have great products yet sometimes they will have glitches. That does not mean they make a horrible product. We have plenty of reviews that show we make a beautiful and quality part. In regards to the 15% restocking fee. We have overhead costs. For instance customer service who has to be in contact with you and coordinate with shipping to cancel your order and then email you confirmation. Also, we are still charged a percentage for just processing a payment. Just because a refund is issued does not mean that percentage is refunded back to M1 Machining. So you ordering and canceling actually costs Companies money. Like stated before, if you can provide the last numbers of your order# we can look into this and see if there is something we can do. I personally ask that we wish you would have given M1 Machining a fair chance. Thank you.

The AR10 jig is also a AR15 jig. Every jig I have ever worked with had left and right sides to drill out the trigger and safety holes. On this jig you drill through to the opposite side. Good luck getting a true hole. Mag release pin hole is also over sized. Tried to get customer service and no phone number. Email back and forth and they wanted inventory deduction on all items and deduction for any nick that was done to their jig. Customer service never called me back. Had to go through my CC service and not getting old of BBB of California. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Hello Sir, We appreciate your feedback. However, there is always 2 sides to a story. M1 Machining is always does what it can to make things right by its customers. You had sent us an email initially saying that our bolt catch was incorrect. Then you realized that we drilled and tapped that hole and supplied you with the hardware with your order. Then you you state that our holes are incorrect and the things you stated about. M1 Machining is not allowed by Law to take back a lower receiver that has been milled out. So we can not refund or take back that lower receiver. Now, with you other Lower Receiver and Jig we stated we would take that back and issue a refund. Now if the items you send back to us are damaged, of course this going to be a reduction of your refund. Also, we usually charge a 15% re-stocking fee. This is done because there is overhead costs and credit card charges. But, I reduced that to 10% without you asking. We have done everything by the Law and have done what we can as a business to make things right. As stated before, we have no issue with giving a refund as long as the items are returned in the same condition in which you received them. Thank you and we hope you have a great week.
