I believe it's the ingredients in the Patch that did me in. After three days of taking all three products, I had clarity of thinking, energy, no more food cravings, I was light, bouncy, and felt like I was 20 again. I work on an ambulance, and I was hauling patients up and down the stairs, lifting heavy stuff, my lieutenant even said "you're on drugs!" Well - during that first week, and then the second week, I was getting major dizzy spells. I'd have to lay down wherever I was. I often felt like I was going to pass out. Until that last day I ever took it. I'm on blood pressure pills. I took a hot shower before going to bed, took my blood pressure meds while I had the Thrive patch on. Suddenly, I felt so horrible I had to sit down. I had my son call me an ambulance. My blood pressure plummeted to 70/30. Within a few more minutes it was down to 50/30. I thought to myself this is it, I'm going into Cardiac Arrest. I felt like I stopped breathing, and I began "floating away". Next thing I know - I was in the ER and they had lots of fluids going into me. I never took the product again. I'm sad because it DOES everything they say it will do - loss of appetite therefore loss of weight. More energy, more clarity in thinking, feeling more positive. But my cardiologist said a few of the ingredients in the patch lowers blood pressure, and the caffeine must be too high, because it made my pulse rate super high. Which would sometimes make me antsy and edgy. I'm sure the raising of the pulserate along with the lowering of the blood pressure could have killed me, literally. I've been off everything for three years. This week, I ordered the Level shakes replacement meals. They are full of vitamins and everything good for you. I'm going to give it a chance. I will NEVER EVER EVER do the patches again. If I can handle the shakes, I may start doing the vitamins again. The problem with the patch is that Level fails to list how much of each ingredient is in the patch. I'm sure they do that on purpose because there's probably too much of everything - the Forslean, Garcinia Cambogia and the caffeine. Be aware of the patch if you start getting dizzy - listen to your body's signals, and take the patch off. So far so good with the shake, but it's only been a day back on it. I love the candy cane one!
Shakes, Vitamins and Patch
I've loved the product, hated the cost. This last year in my bulk order (which was $1,168) I noticed multiple vitamin packs come with only 1 pill. When I finally got fed up during a morning where I came across one after another and got to reflecting over the fact this was a reoccurring issue across the entire year, I made a video to send the company of me opening the shorted packages. Do you suppose they'll stand behind the product? No; they wanted me to hang onto those packages to give them lot numbers off the package and boxes. I'm not the type to hang onto trash, so my year of getting screwed over went into the trash, not into my save-it bin... Despite a video showing it happening, my job apparently also includes quality control. Beyond that, on weekends with their biggest promotions you'll find their customer service is CLOSED and on Monday when it opens you'll hear, "there's nothing we can do once the order has been placed." So place the order on the weekend for the promotion without having any sort of help with customer service, but once you've placed it don't reach out to customer service because it's too late. Unfortunately, I'm cutting my ties with the company after 3 years. I can't keep paying these costs for a company with zero to no customer service, nor do I think I should have to comb over each and every package to ensure I got what I paid for. Apparently "quality control" is not a position available within the company. I understood from the start this company was built on a typical pyramid scheme, so I never took an active role as a seller/promoter & only ever ordered for myself or close friends who saw my success. (Mind you, my success came from MY hard work of exercising & eating right- I just liked knowing I was getting vitamins & I loved my breakfast shake.) With my final order, I tried to take advantage of the BOGO deal with shakes and this round they didn't allow one of the flavors to be honored. There was ZERO note of that within their site or at any point of the order- something that could've been avoided if their coder had taken a few moments to write a couple lines of code to notate the products that were not eligible. It feels sneaky! I ordered two of the flavor not eligible and once reading the fine print on the promotion email I asked them to switch it to another flavor that is eligible, but they refused. "There's nothing we can do once the order has been placed." That's the final straw for me.
It would be helpful to know that if you can't navigate it on your own, customer service is practically non-existent. Don't hit the BUY button without certainty, because there's no coming back from it. If you order vitamins, open EVERY box, feel EVERY package to make sure they're full and if not, hold onto them so that you're able to fight for what you paid for.
I've used the skincare line, the 3-step bundle, the shakes, the patches, and the vitamins.
I took the Le-Vel Thrive women's daily supplement (just 1 of the 2 capsules) with a shake and the patch for 3 days. On the 4th day I tried the recommended 2 women's daily supplement capsules and within 30 minutes had moderate heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath and fatigue. I quit taking the products immediately after my doctor and I discovered that there is citrus aurantium and several other herbal stimulants combined in the Women's daily supplement capsules.
It took my body 8 days to withdraw from the products which I continued to have side effects and withdraw symptoms such as heart palpitations, dizziness, sudden changes in blood pressure, shortness of breath, nausea and fatigue. I've been under my doctors care since August 8th 2021 when I had the initial heart palpitations from taking the 2 recommended women's daily supplement capsules. I was experiencing the heart palpitations and other symptoms 2-10 times daily. I had to go to the ER twice because I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke.
Today, I am still experiencing these same symptoms at least 3-10 times a week. I'm on a medical leave from work as they are running every test they can to find out why my blood pressure rapidly dropping or raising causing dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath and fatigue. I never had a medical history of these symptoms prior to taking Thrive. This all started as an immediate result of taking the Thrive women's daily supplements.
I sent a message to Thrive customer support on August 11th and over the past 2 months have uploaded several ongoing medical documents showing I've been having these health issues and it started as a result of taking their products.
They said my documents prove nothing that Thrive was the cause and refused to open an injury claim. Now I'm seeking legal advice to take further action.
Here is my goal in seeking legal support/ what needs to happen:
#1 Thrive products need to be labeled to warn others that citrus aurantium is banned in several other countries and has a similar effect as ephedra.
#2 the combination of caffine, citrus aurantium, Guarana and other herbal stimulants is dangerous and is known to cause heart issues and heart attacks.
#3 Thrive should properly compensate me for these health issues that have gone past 60 days, pain and suffering and the long duration of time I've missed work plus future months since this is ongoing.
#4 I asked for their customer support manager to call me because all contact for 2 months was via their Thrive customer portal. They still have not given me the respect and due diligence to call me and speak in person. I'd like to speak with a manager in their company because to me speaking with a real person shows compassion and care for their customers.
2 week starter pack which included a Thrive Women's daily supplement capsules, strawberry shake mix and a skin patch. I also purchased some watermelon drinks but only tried 1 of the 12. I only took the product for 5 days and had to discontinue immediately due to heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath and fatigue.
When I started my weight loss journey back in February I saw a friend from high school successfully using Le-Vel Thrive products… for months I considered pulling the trigger and purchasing but didn't… upon looking it up and really looking I couldn't find any negative or positive things (except the extreme positives by promoters) it was all neutral reviews from normal people… most had some sort of success if also dieting and working out. But there was nothing negative online about it except auto ship issues and double charges on cards. I had reached out to a few MLM exposers asking about thrive… and none of them knew any negatives about it. So I want to put out an honest review of products and the company itself out there because it is different in my mind at least.
I pulled the trigger and purchased thrive products in January/February of 2020… It was a three step system including 2 pills, a shake and a patch you use daily. I felt great on it… slightly wired but nothing crazy. I started waking up at 7am most days… having energy and working out it helped put me into a habit… it helped jumpstart my weight loss and I honestly felt very very good on it. I took it for a few months. An interesting thing about the company is… to become a promoter and sell thrive products…. They require nothing of you. No money down to start selling, no buying garages full of stock to sell your friends and family…. If people buy it awesome if not that's ok too. No high pressure to sell to recoup your "investments" etc etc, that to me says a lot about them not being an MLM.
I stopped taking thrive then had a second friend start selling it so I bought another few months worth and use it intermittently with the other products I use to switch up stuff. I signed up for a promoter account at no cost to myself and even earned some free products which was kind of cool.
The shakes are tastier then 90% of the stuff out there. It is convenient and easy to use. The three steps daily make it great for dysfunctional people like myself who don't always remember to take a daily anything as it's done right in the morning. It definitely helped me set up good habits and become more organized in taking daily vitamins in general. The vitamins are pretty decent even DPS said the vitamins were pretty hardy and worth what they charge for them…. They also contain probiotic which isn't advertised but definitely makes the product worth it for the cost as probiotic are still probably the most costly part of what i use daily… For me I didn't personally think the patches did much. I felt the patch was mental. A constant reminder of the cost of what I was spending to lose weight and to remind myself during the day that I didn't need a second helping or a little more of anything. It reminded me throughout the day to intake more water and really mentally helped me by serving as a near constant reminder to keep pushing and that… was worth its weight in gold if you ask me. Now I do other things as those daily reminders but the patch definitely helped in the beginning stages.
I chose to stop using thrive regularly but not because of anything bad… I didn't like the amount of soy I was consuming but soy isn't bad in and of itself I just don't love the idea of soy. I still use thrive product I have around… not as a main source of supplements but to switch up what I use daily…. Again shakes are better tasting then most of what's out there so a thrive shake some mornings is much tastier then another brand they also have a bit of a pick me up in them that gets me buzzing…. Not an intense buzz like a pre workout… but a mild helpful buzz but thrive really did help me to start a journey of overall health, food awareness, and a personal journey to help find myself and for that I'm extremely thankful. I would definitely recommend thrive products to people just starting out with weight loss and need a simple starter program that contains all they need in very few products(to get the same amount of stuff in thrive I now take 4-6 vitamins/supplements throughout my day) and the cost of thrive while slightly more then buying individual products… isn't really all that expensive… I save maybe $30-$50 monthly buying everything separately but it's a lot more steps, I have to go out and purchase vs easy right to my door each month…. I use different amounts of products so it requires more trips/orders etc through the month as I run out of stuff… it really wasn't a bad deal now that I see the differences in their system vs matching products… it's way easier and to pay $30 more for convenience is definitely worth it for many reasons… I pay for convenience when I order takeout, buy paper plates, by ready to cook meals etc…. So paying for convenience for vitamins doesn't seem outrageous either. I did like purchasing my products in the daily form vs the containers. Anytime you order you get the choice of daily packs of canisters. The daily packs were much more me and nice to be able to just grab and go.
Overall I'd say give it a try. It definitely started me out right and I'm thankful I pulled the trigger. The people I see selling it regularly are doing well it seems and must have many regular returning customers to be willing to promote as they do as thrive doesn't force the promoters to do outrageous stuff and that's amazing.
This morning I'll drink a thrive shake with my breakfast and get my workout in while I have the little buzz it gives me and feel ok purchasing products in the future to have on hand for slow start mornings.
Three step program
So I started thrive in April as a birthday present to myself because my health is not very well.
I've tried every product I'm sure that you've heard of on the market from the big Mass corporate companies that send you all over the world to the tiniest of hometown owned gyms all with a diet regime and lifestyle plan.
I have to say the difference is with thrive you do get the energy you do get the focus you do get the weight loss the most importantly I feel that my body is coming closer to a homeostasis (balance), and it's vitamin intake due to the 3-step program.
One time I took the 3-step program out of order so here's what it looked like.
I woke up at my normal 6 a.m. took two tablets, (I was told to start with one by my coach and the company warning as well), that was mistake number one.
I also put my patch on immediately and if you don't know the system that is step 3 that was mistake number 2.
Then instead of having the shake I decided that day I wanted coffee big mistake number 3.
All of a sudden not only did I feel like the product wasn't working correctly but I was extremely irritable jittery and immediately contacted My level coach, advisor, or whatever you would like to call her. She immediately laughed and I thought oh my gosh why is she laughing and she said Lori I told you read it and take it correctly you took it out of sequence so it's not going to get the full benefit and did you drink coffee?
I almost lied and said no but I knew that something was off so I said yes I did I did I'm trying to quit drinking coffee that has been my hardest part on starting a program and she said well there's your answer right there you took it out of sequence don't ever do that again and Lori your body must metabolize very well so take one! STILL to this day I only take one pill, unless I'm needing the two tablets; if I'm going to be gone all day and need to suppress my energy while grabbing a quick salad at a drive-through or even a greasy order of tots and chili and cheese don't judge me LOL.
Now that I know to take the system and its three system format and also stay away from other caffeine hydrate as much as you're supposed to with water and not to skip my shake that goes with it with light exercise my results couldn't be better!
Thrive on guys just make sure with my moral of the story you follow the rules and the guidelines read all warnings and labels and I mean I guess that's pretty "101'" ya?! Hahaha
Very satisfied client.
Started in April at 169 lbs.
June weight is 153,.
I absolutely love Thrive and all of its product. When I decided to try it in April 2017, it was meant only as a review. As a Nationally Certified Nutritionist, and 15 years in the medical and health industry, I felt it was good to try products. I wasn't expecting to take it daily afterwards!
Not only was the woman who I spoke with highly educated, helpful and full of information, resources, and encouraged me to do my own research - but she helped guide me into the product and had a deep conversation over gut health. I deal with IBS, and lactose intolerance. The company doesn't claim to take care of these issues at all, but they do focus on gut health and bacteria, which I can tell you play a major role in your wellness care. These aren't magic pills. There isn't a single product out there that will instantly make you lose weight. First 10-14 lbs is water retention and digestion/bloating you reduce with you drink more water and eat properly.
Thrive's ingredients are CLEARLY listed on their packaging, online, and easily accessible as well as backed by over 50 Patents and approval. It's important to find the right person to market "health" to you. I don't recommend thrive to anyone who may have a Soy Allergy - as yes, it has some soy product with pea protein primarily, and whey in their shakes. The vitamins are very high quality and the caffeine levels in the pills and shake combined alone are less than 65mg (less than a cup of coffee) and are made with green/black teas. The only other green coffee bean extract (this is what is used naturally to help with suppressing or weight) is in variety of different DFT patches that are clearly listed on site and packages. There is Zero synthetic caffeine in the products. This is a PLANT BASED PREMIUM NUTRITION COMPANY.
Taking any supplement or product will not change bad eating habits or prior medical conditions you do not consult first. So as I read faulty reviews here, it's very clear they are the scammers or mixing up the what Le-Vel products are.
The cost is because of quality. People spend $5 bucks on a Starbucks coffee over a $1 coffee at a gas station.
I'd rather take a Cadillac quality vitamin, stay consistent, focus on eating properly, while knowing it takes time to change your gut health, dialing in proper nutrition into your lifestyle and being educated or finding answers.
I love the probiotic help this has given me. It's helped my digestion, my sleep, my skin and my life. I've shared it with many clients, and many doctors/nurses/naturopaths and natural physique body builders use thrive BECAUSE of its all natural benefits.
A healthy lifestyle avoid include drinking at least 80 ounces of water a day. Taking thrive you shouldn't be drinking coffee, or monster/energy drinks either (that's what kills you). Never take vitamins with coffee. Can you drink a coffee down the road? Sure, but the ph acid level destroys the body before it ever absorbs your pills or even medicines. (Google it ;) or research it. Knowledge is free.
It's great to give a product 30 days to 60 days with following the motivation to focus on your overall health.
If you have any congestive heart or hbp issues prior to thrive, always speak to a doctor. Our products have no relationship to hbp or prior bad health issues that require a longer and bigger change to your health decisions, including cutting fatty foods, processed foods like pizzas, greasy burgers and including more fruits, fibrous vegetables, lean meats and proper hydration into your system and focusing on a healthier nutritional lifestyle.
There isn't a single vitamin or shake company that can outdo a bad diet or how you take care of yourself
This company is a joke and a scam. I met a promoter and I was genuinely interested in trying the products so she took my order which also included me paying by credit card. She signed me up for autoship without my consent. Fast forward one month and I get an email letting me know my second order was being processed. There is no customer service number but within minutes I had sent a message to them through their customer service page asking to cancel my order and remove me from autoship since I never consented to that. They responded by saying that they can't cancel my order once it's started processing but I can return the product once it arrives and incur a 10% restocking fee. Of course, return shipping would be at my cost.
After going back and forth with them on this matter to no avail, I resolve to file a BBB complaint and pay the $20 to have it shipped back knowing that I would also have the restocking fee. Note, my BBB complaint primarily explained that I did not sign up for autoship and when a promoter does so without permission then they themselves should be responsible for the fees and I asked for a refund of my shipping costs and waiver of the restocking fee.
Fast forward another month and I do not have a refund yet and I finally get a response to my BBB complaint. Their complaint response is simply that I initially enrolled for autoship and I am not enrolled in autoship and they'd appreciate if I would mark my complaint resolved (of course, I refuse). I again submitted another customer service ticket and informed them that my return had not yet been processed by August 2nd even though, according to FedEx, they received my return on July 10th. They did get back to me promptly to tell me that they will process my return minus the 10% restocking fee AND MINUS THEIR SHIPPING COSTS TO GET THE PRODUCT THAT I DID NOT ORDER TO ME. Total dollars I've lost on this transaction= $50.05. That's not counting the first order that I genuinely ordered that cost $176 and didn't do a thing... worthless.
F'ing joke. I know I won't see a dime from them so instead I'll just let anyone who wants to know how crappy the company and product is.
Who knows what is probably in this product, but stay away! I know someone who was having great success with Thrive saying how she feels so alive and less exhausted. I've been dealing with exhaustion since I was young. I can never find a solution. Caffeine has absolutely no affect on me. I can chug a red bull before bed and sleep 8 hours straight with absolutely no problem. For me to feel any affect of caffeine I would probably have to drink 15 servings of cuban coffee in a ten minute span. I can not get through the day without a nap. I've tried everything. I can sleep 6 hours, 8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours and still feel the same exhaustion. When my friend started posting about Thrive, I said I have to try it! When she told me the price, I said I can not afford it but that I am really interested to try it because I need a solution. She said instead of getting all three products(Pills, shake powder and patch) that I can just get the pills and the patches because I do not have a weight issue so I don't need the shakes. My first day was so terrible. I woke up and took the pill and put my patch on. I skipped my morning coffee because I wanted to see the full affects of the product. With-in 15 minutes I notice my heart rate getting really high which in turn made my anxiety a mess and I honestly got nauseous. I kept my mouth shut because I really wanted this to work. After a couple hours I felt fine and didn't notice any difference. I still needed a nap and I still felt exhaustion. When bedtime came (which was just as early as every night) it was time to take the patch off. This was so unnecessary and ridiculous. We all know the patch does nothing and is just more advertising for this brand. The patch is so annoying to take off, it hurts and pulls all your little hairs, and if you're like me, your skin will look terrible for hours(Or days) after taking the patch off. The patch leaves sticky gunk which you have to scrub off (I tried coconut oil and it wasn't strong enough) and that makes the irritation ten times worse! I continued with the product for about a week and then gave my friend a call saying I wasn't having success and I didn't want to continue. She called her upline and they called me with a "solution". The upline told me to just take the one pill in the morning, instead of two and to drink a lot more water. I told her I already drink over three liters of water. She is obviously dumb because I only weigh 110 lbs. and she told me it wasn't enough. It is physically impossible for me to work a job and drink anymore than 100 oz of water a day. I'd be going to the bathroom every ten minutes! The woman told me she wanted to send me the shake powder to try because I needed to experience the entire experience. Long story short, I gave the whole FULL experience a try for about three weeks. I stopped because I don't feel that this product is safe and I feel it is hurting my body. If caffeine in any amount does not affect me and does not make me sick, I don't think this supplement should. And the patch was so bad. Please if you have anxiety, do not take this product. If you have sensitive skin, do not use the patch. If you like nasty shakes, then by all means have the shake ha.
I posted my Thrive Experience on their Facebook page earlier today and it seems to have disappeared because it wasn't a positive review of their customer service but that's okay because they don't control my online posts.
I like so many others love the products that I received with my monthly auto-shipment (pills, patch and shakes). They helped to limit my migraines to one or two a month and I was off the daily preventive drug that I had been on for 3 years, my IBS was under control for the first time in 10+ years.
I should have known it was too good to be true. My disappoint begins and ends with their customer service. I ordered my last shipment with the larger DFT Ultra patches in purple which cost more then what I had normally been ordering for months.
When I opened my box on Saturday, August 1st I was disappointed to learn that I received the wrong patches but I assumed this would be an easy fix. I logged into my customer site and searched for how to notify the company of the error in my shipment. I was disappointed to learn that I couldn't submit a customer service ticket on the weekend but had to do so during the workweek (M-F).
Early Monday morning I submitted a new ticket with Le-Vel explaining that they sent me the wrong patches and I had a picture that I could send them as proof and requested that they send me new patches at their expense (I had already paid for S&H) and a return label to send them back their incorrect item again at their expense. I submitted my ticket and didn't receive a ticket number or an acknowledgement that I submitted a ticket. I thought it was strange not to get something but I waited under Tuesday for over 24hrs and logged back in to see if the ticket would show up on my account. NOTHING it was like I didn't submit a ticket, so on Tuesday I sent another ticket and once again no acknowledgement but I waited 48hrs this time.
This time I sent an email on Thursday to *******@Le-Vel.com so that I at least had proof that I sent them a message about my order. I attached a picture of my order form that was received with my patches and the actual item that I received. I received an "auto-reply" that stated that this was not the forum for my order complaint I needed to submit another ticket. I replied that I had already done so 2x without an acknowledgment by email or showing my ticket on the website and that at this point I would just like to get a refund of the difference in price between what I received and what I ordered. I finally received an actual reply specific to my issue and it was that they never received a ticket from me and so I must now submit a 3rd ticket.
You only get 15 days to request to correct/change an order after it delivered and with this whole "I didn't submit a ticket" game I'm now at day 6. Wonder how many more times did they think I would submit my request.
I sent a reply to this email and it is my final one to the company, I have canceled my auto-shipment and will find out how to completely remove my profile from their website I 'm so over this game...
They have no problem promptly debiting my card for their monthly auto-shipment on the day it is scheduled even if it is not actually mailed for a day or two but they can't contact me about a $14 difference when I have spent a lot of money with them (the monthly order was not cheap).
Right now I would rather deal with big box store and give them my hard earned cash if they are willing (Whole Foods, GNC, Amazon) because they are willing to service my account or product after have my money if there is an issue.
All of the comments for this company are glowing but not one tells the tale of what happens when your order it not right.
I value service as much as I value quality products.
