It pains me to report that the condition of the equipment and facilities has reached an unacceptable level, severely impacting our ability to enjoy and utilize the services provided. First and foremost, the functionality of the equipment is severely compromised, with the majority of machines either non-operational or experiencing significant issues. For instance, out of the eight stepper machines available, only one is in working condition, while the remaining seven have been marked for parts or service since December 2023. It is now February 2024, and regrettably, there has been no discernible progress in resolving these issues. This prolonged period of downtime not only hampers our workout routines but also reflects poorly on the gym's commitment to maintenance and member satisfaction. Furthermore, the availability of essential equipment accessories, such as pins, is severely lacking. Many machines are missing pins, making it impossible for members to use them effectively. This inconvenience forces members to waste time searching for pins or to forgo certain exercises altogether, detracting from the overall gym experience. Additionally, I must highlight the poor condition of certain equipment, notably the arm curl machine. The cracked leather surface makes it uncomfortable and potentially unsafe for users, further diminishing the quality of our workouts. Regrettably, these persistent issues have led me to explore alternative gym options, and I am not alone in this decision. Several friends and family members who share my frustrations are also considering leaving your gym in search of better-maintained facilities. Restroom was without soap for two days. I emailed corporate and the only thing they did was email my email to the management of the location that didn't have soap. Nothing was done. Broken soap dispensers, broken toilet seats, constantly out of disinfectant wipes and watered-down soap.

Worst experience ever, if you want to get a personal trainer don't ever do to LA fitness, I was tricked in the beginning while joining, I had asked for 6 months personal trainer, don't know why in document I signed it says 1 year. Now they are saying there is no way to cancel the personal training sessions and I need to pay half of the remaining year amount around 1400 or I should became a complete disabled person to cancel it! Don't know what to do with this issue! Worst fitness center ever!

LARGO, FLORIDA: The leadership at this club is so unprofessional. They removed the only fan in the Group X room and the AC can't catch up. The Esporta Website states that there need to be a healthy temp of 68-72 with humidity under 50%. It's not happening & the managers are unable to correct the issue.See photos from 5/31 and 6/2 with temps over 76 and humidity over 68%. Just a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Even though I can't swear, I can't find any other justification for the problem I had in the last week other than unwise and ill-run maintenance, not befitted of a reliable club.
After going through a period of pain and discomfort in my right ear, yesterday I finally pulled out the foreign body you see in the picture with a lot of effort and the help of a colleague at Urgent Care. Its appearance coordinates suggest a high probability of a biological organism!
In fulfilling my responsibility, which is both professional and friendly, I felt it necessary to inform you about such an event.

O.K. I am writing another review for this facility since few weeks gone by. The facility cleanness is currently improved because I see that one designate person cleaning the Locker room every day since I submit the first comment. The shower rooms drain are currenty open and allow dirty waters to drain. But indoor swimming areas are still have issue with fealty painting and Crack walls. The indoor sauna were finally open since down six weeks and within the 2 days went back down due to Jet spray didn't works. The indoor running machines are still have issue with schedule maintenance.

Our Personal Trainer ( J Y) is experienced and knowledgeable. Both my wife and I are happy with our training routines. Our Trainer corrects any misused techniques and is quite knowledgeable on the Human Anatomy assuring we do our exercises correctly to resolve and strengthen any weak points.
Very patient, very friendly and easy to work with, we highly recommend "J Y" as a personal trainer.

I joined this gym solely for the pool and the fact that it's open until 10PM. At the Bear location, it is the most unreliable pool I've ever seen. I've had enough experiences where I come only to see it's closed due to no lifeguard for the 3-ft pool that I now call every time before coming. Even once I'm here, now lifeguards take breaks from sitting by the pool reading/on phones and close the pool even if you're in the middle of a swim. I frequently come from 8-10PMish but got kicked out tonight at 9 for a lifeguard break. It's enough that I want to switch gyms, just not nearly consistent enough if rely on the pool for your workout.

They make you print out a cancellation form and mail it to them to cancel, I did this and still my membership was not cancelled. I only found out today these a$$holes have been charging me and I haven't worked out there in over a year and half. They have a terrible cancellation policy and no one could help me over the phone. I have not experienced this with other gyms.

Canceled membership due to moving. Now getting harassment calls saying I still owe and that my membership isn't canceled. Received confirmation of cancelation online. Typically gym bull$#*!. So we go to gym and Mitch is doing a good job of explaining. When this little $#*! who refused to give name got upset that he was talking to us. Scorpion tattoo on neck. Then she refuses to talk to me. Little $#*! needs to mind her manners. Will never be back.

I just started my membership last month. I was advised and assisted properly when I started my membership. Mr. Jose Jimenez trained me and I realized that I wasn't working out properly myself. He made sure I felt comfortable with every workout and also made sure that I pushed myself to the best of my ability. Jose then counseled me on my personal goals and offered personal training as well as strengthening class so I could build my desired physic. He is the BEST! LA Fitness must be proud to have him on the team.

Poor Management, Cleanness in doubt
I joined the club 2 weeks ago. I have asked for my printed pass at least 5 times. The employees play ignorance.
I had an appointment with a fitness instructor named Amanda. She did not show up. I asked the front desk who had no clue where she was. I still have not heard from her, a week later.
The club offers sanitized wipes. The wipe dispensers advertise only the hiring of a fitness instructor, not the need to use them on the equipment. I went to exercise 8 times since I joined. I saw only three people wiping the equipment after use. This is not a safe and clean place

I paid up front for a 3 for 2 kind of deal. I paid an amount total for 2 years but and the concept was clearly explained to me as "paying up front of 2 years and I'd get the 3rd free." I knew I'd be here a while but they also gave me access to every non-signature gym in the nation which has also worked out great! Gyms have been relatively clean and equipment that breaks is usually fixed in a timely manner. Anyone who goes often will have enough options to choose if other machines are broken or occupied.

Tip for consumers:
Go into the location, they are always willing to find you a negotiable deal.

Personally, the Pros of LA Fitness out number the Cons. I love working out at my LA Fitness. I use to have a membership at Planet Fitness and although Planet may have newer equipment LA has almost everything Planet has. The only kind of con to LA is the lack of a consistent cleanliness as it relates to the locker room and showers. In the showers rust on all the shower curtain bars. The Sauna while great is horribly dirty. Lockers broken and garbage on the floors from one day to the next.

Tip for consumers:
Great Gym but the Locker Room and showers, and Sauna are a bit un clean.

All LA Fitness locations lack security cameras. It's known for its terrible rape culture within the company. I was cornered and abused by employees after hours. Followed into the locker room and raped. No cameras. Still in court 5 months later. I was left in the bathroom bleeding.

Don't stay late.

I returned to LA fitness after a long absence and unfortunately the instructors announced that the class duration including cooldown would only be 45 minutes. Fort me, it is not worth driving all this way for such a short class. They used to be and should be 1 hour. I received a 3 day free pass at 24 hour fitness and the classes are 1 hour as it should be. Very disapointing. Otherwise, the place looks very nice.

Sales rep in Barrie Ontario was not clear on contract, she gets u comfortable & to trust her. In the end La fitness over priced for personal trainer and even advised of a death in family they don't budge.

They do a very poor job, taking care of this place keeping it clean the hot tub is enough. The temperature in the pool is not up to temperature

LA Fitness is a racist place. I was racially profiled and the district director Dan, head director Mohammed and membership team member Brent decided that I should walk away and no action needed to be taken, not even a follow up with with witnesses. This is a terrible organization.

I came back to my aerobics classes in the water after covid and they keep canceling the classes frequently within good reasons and also without informing people on their website! Very unprofessional!

My mom was stiff-armed into a membership. She tried to cancel next day, sales staff made her cry w guilt for leaving and at first told her she could not cancel. This was the King of Prussia location
