I SO look forward to my daily newsletter from KP! Photos of finished objects, questions and answers of all kinds, jokes, memes, flashbacks - it is the most entertaining and informative time of the day. Not interested in a topic? Just scroll on by. I see a few folks (and there is always a few) who are offended by anything and everything. I just smile and file them under "ignore".
I love this morning link with 'friends' even if only virtual ones. So much help, kindness and positivity from people who care and want to be helpful! As in real life there is always a moaner, and groaner, but we don't have to let them spoil our day!
Knitting Paradise was at one time a great site, however in December of 2017 the administrator vanished and bullying has become a large problem by a select few with right wing leanings. Last night one of them posted very graphic photographs of aborted feti. If you enjoy being degraded, called names or viewing disturbing images, this is the site for you!
Anyone who knits or crochets should take a look at this site.
You will learned so much here.
Members from different parts of the world share their knowledge, humor, kind words of advice & of course, patterns. Knitting Paradise is a great site.
At one time Knitting Paradise was a fun site to visit. In 2016 the site was invaded by trolls and the administration of the site left. It is a place that I will no longer visit and would not recommend it to any friends. The trolls are posting personal info of the users as well as their pictures. The language used is horrible.

Finding Knitting Paradise was one of the best things I've done. I've been knitting for 65 years and yet have learned so much at the site, both things I knew I didn't know and things I didn't know I didn't know. It has taken my knitting in particular to a whole new level. So many helpful people and good ideas.
It is the people that need to learn which subject they should read and which ones to avoid, if it ruffles their feathers. Some are simply too thin skinned and instead of skipping what they don't like, the will gripe.
It is a forum! Great forum to learn and see other people's creations.
Lots of good people and lots of fun!
I was having an issue with a knitting pattern I was working on. I posted my question on Knitting Paradise and got several answers, all of which helped me figure out the pattern and where I was having issues. In the end, my sweater turned out great! This would not have happened without Knitting Paradise and it's People! I would recommend Knitting Paradise to any knitter.
This used to be a wonderful and helpful knitting information site. Now it seems to have become a site filled with nothing but political posts, bullying and postings of personal information.
It has also become a overrun with spammers, and porn.
I find KP to be so helpful and often inspiring. Sadly, in spite of online requests and even a snail mail request, there is no longer a
way to register and become a member.
I have learned so much since joining this site.
I see some have complained about a few bullies, I just avoid & block ( there is a feature to do this) those individuals.
I subscribed to KP over 7 years ago. Initially it was a great place to pick up new knitting techniques, chat with virtual friends and share finished masterpieces. The site was well moderated and the majority of subscribers were pleasant. Unfortunately a perfect storm hit this site — it was sold to people who don't care about moderating and a group of nasty, disrespectful bullies took over nearly every conversation. So—is this worth your time? Maybe, if you are willing to sift through political tirades, reposts of political articles, and mounds of conspiracy theories. Almost any thread on any topic can start a firestorm or personal attacks if the bullies fly in. Sadly, this just isn't why I read crafting sites so I only check in on the mayhem every 3 months or so. Bottom line, if you have extra thick skin or you like tangling with argumentative people who sometimes craft…go for it. It was interesting to note that the 4 or 5 positive reviews on this site were written Aug 13,14, or 15. Hmmm…. Wonder what conspiracy prompted that group effort? Hahaha
Answer: KP has far more happy members than the complainers! I don't get why people just don't skip what they don't like! Plenty subjects to see, settings to choose to avoid what they don't like but I guess they are too dumb and it is easier to complain and ruin the site for potential new members! It is a forum with thousands of members! And it is their loss not participating!
Answer: It is a legit forum. It is not a company but a site where Crafter's can share their projects as they work, or are finished. It is also a place where you can post craft questions and ask for help. It is nice to visit with like minded people. You do have people to use it for their own soapbox, but you can always just pass their posts.
Answer: KP is free, you just have to create an account. I use it more for answers to questions or issues I am having with a project. Revelry is also free, until you want some patterns, the. The cost is of the pattern. Revelry is not a forum to ask questions but to find patterns.
