Glad I took time to check KGB out and now will not purchase anything. As I have heard all my life... if it is too good to be true then if probably not good to count on whatever!
I am at the end of my tether with this awful awful company. It has taken 12 weeks for half my order to arrive. I must of sent at least 50 emails to various sites given to me. I have asked for a phone number only to be ignored. The support is rubbish and I will never ever use these clowns again. I intend reporting them to trading standards as I have kept every email I have received.
They get two stars because finally, after 3 months of emailing and phoning, they refunded to my credit card the amount they promised. It did take many emails (and I forwarded them back to KGBdeals for proof of their promise to refund) and phone calls (most unanswered) and some very angry tones. Absolutely no comparison to the other web site vouchers. Indeed, Groupon and Living Social and Gilt are wonderful. I hope the employees at KGBdeals have a job in a few months. This business is doomed to fail.
This is a groupon clone and basically doing the same thing but probably with far less money to really reach out and find good deals in all of the cities they claim. My word of caution is that it takes considerable effort to secure a good deal from a business and that is why groupon has so much money invested in them. I am skeptical a site with less resources pulling this off, However they are a part of kgbanswers.com which is a very unique concept and fairly well executed.
I was charmed by this nice web-site at first. But they really have to do something with the customer service. When I had an issue with a coupon purchased from KGB I didn't manage to reach them by phone and they just ignored my e-mails. I decided that it is better to save my time and just forget about this.
I purchased a voucher from kgbdeals for $49 on January 21,2012 for an 8GB MP3 + video player from Hipstreet.com and today is JUNE 30th, 2012, aqnd I still have NOT received the product! I have communicated with both the vendor (hipstreet.com) and kgbdeals numerous times over the past 3 or months and I still have no resolution to my problem. At this point, all I want is a refund of my money, but all I've gotten is frustration and simple ''acknowledgements'' of my complaints from kgbdeals. This is good example of poor or non-existing CUSTOMER SERVICE!
While the deals they have can be great ones; they have not been so good with customer service. I've contacted them three times thus far, re: expired unused certificates. Groupon and some others will easily refund. Not so with kgbdeals... and I believe that they are required to in several states.
