Been waiting a month for an online order. Received a email this morning stating my items were no longer available and my order was cancelled. Terrible costumer service.
On November 20,2023 I placed an online order for 3 items and a hold was put on my credit card for the amount of the order. According to their website the order should be delivered in 6-10 business days after the order is placed. As of November 28, the package had not shipped so I contacted them using their website contact form which said I would hear back within 48 hours as of today Dec. 2,2023 I have heard nothing! But on November 30 they sent an email saying my package had been shipped which was a lie the only thing they did was create a USPS label and charge my credit card for the items. As of today, USPS is still waiting for my order to be received and I am still waiting to ship a package that the items are needed for! I guess since Hancock Fabric's went out of business JOANN's think they are the only big company left so they can jerk customers around! Wonder how long before they learn to stay in business you have to keep the customer satisfied and are having a going out of business sale!
My most recent Joann.com order was a disaster. The only thing Joann was able to send correctly was the bias tape. When it came to the fabric, boy, was it a mess! The first piece of fabric I ordered was sent in two, two-yard pieces instead of the four-yard piece I ordered, but I only got one of the two-yard pieces. Apparently, they send you the biggest amount they have left on the bolt if they fulfill your order near the end of a bolt. They also never sent one of the fabrics I ordered. I had to call customer service and it is under investigation. I am so disappointed in Joann.com and I will not be ordering from them again.
I've given Joann 3 different chances and time after time they failed. Each time it's taken more than 13 days to have my order(s) shipped. Two times they waited more than 13 days to notify me that they've cancelled the majority of the items in the order, but wouldn't allow me to cancel the remaining. You can never cancel, they want you to return any items even if they haven't been shipped yet. Their customer service is non-existent. They are rude and unhelpful. Because of this I will no longer shop with them. Even in their stores.
Multiple repeated shipping delays. Did not receive complete order. FedEx unable to give delivery date even with the tracking number. Love JoAnn's the store but will never use JoAnn's on line again.
Was told I got my refund through PayPal, I do not have a PayPal account. Customer service was not helpful. Will not be purchasing from their store again. Out $40 from this whole ordeal. Normally not someone who gets angry easily, but its easy when people are NOT helpful.
Whenever I order online, no matter what time of year, it takes FOREVER to get my order delivered! No matter how many items Ive purchased at a time everything is shipped separately! When I place AN order I like all items to come in one box, not 2 or 3 or 4 different shipments! What a pain having to keep track of them all. When I go to site I can't even find where I can check on my order anywhere. Truely disappointed! My first online order came and only one item was in the bag that wasn't even sealed. I freaked out thinking the rest of items had fallen out somewhere along the shipping route but nope my 4 items came in 3 different shipments! Not happy being disabled and not able to go to my local store that's only 4 minutes away by car, smh!
I placed an order at Joann.com with 10 items including two pieces of fabric on 11-8-2023. It is still processing. I have called twice. Two excuses were given, both on the flimsy side. Just ridiculous.

I received the worst customer service for the second time in this particular store. Never have an issue in any other store I visit. I stood for almost 6 minutes waiting on the manager while she was attending to another customer cutting fabric. After which I tried explaining to her my concern (the ad that was sent to me in my email of the Christmas items being 75% off and not seeing the same thing in the store). I offered to place my order and even wait in the car while it process and she proceeded to tell me it could take up to 9pm for the order to process through because people have been scamming and just want to take the items and leave the store. Scamming? I did not understand how I would be scamming people if I am clearly paying for my item online and just waiting to pick the item up. Was it because I was an African American woman making the request that's why the topic of scamming would come up? I was so confused? Then the next excuse was that they wouldn't have the time to pick up the items. I even offered to go around to pull the items myself to make it easier for them if that was the case. The manager was very dismissive and stated she was done talking to me as she walked away. This was shortly after I shared with her that I never encounter issues at other stores and I will be making contact with the cooperate office. I will never be back to such a racist environment. I am completely disgusted.
A month ago ordered a large yarn order. Two weeks later, email from Joann.com saying that half the order was cancelled due to none in stock. A week later I contact to find out where the rest of my order is. Three hours later another email saying the last half was cancelled due to same problem. Was ticked off, but stuff happens. Ordered again two weeks ago- received the order today and completely different yarn and color from what I ordered. They can't get anything right lately. They need to just shutter the business because they are dying a slow death. I've spent a small fortune there over the years- no more. I'm done.
Ordered 10 items, 35 yards total, never received so looked up order number. They cancelled my whole order without letting me know. NEVER again. Couldn't even bother to let me know. Christmas sewing will be delayed. Thanks for nothing, literally. O stars if I could.
Placed and online order with Joann Fabric. Receive a notification it was canceled. Placed the same order with another retailer and still got charged for the order that was canceled at Joann. Talked to a supervisor and they can't do anything about it because order was shipped. Unacceptable if I could do no stars I would.
I love their fall decor! Take advantage of the coupons that joanns offers on their app and the prices become so much more manageable :) they have a really smooth return process as well, and it's always nice going to craft stores and the like, especially ones as festive as joanns
The Brandon, FL location should be shut down. I've never seen such a horrible store. Dirty, merchandise just thrown every where. The employees REFUSE to help customers. They're rude. They're also incompetent. They give you 20 percent more off if you order online and pick up in store. They NEVER have my full order even when it showed the items in stock. They're too lazy to walk back and pick the items. I only got the sketch books I ordered because they're right up front. Anything that they have to walk more than a few feet to pick they just lie and say it's not available even though it really is. The managers one named Nik and one named Debbie should are not capable at f managing to tie their shoes never mind manage a store. I've given that store four chances and now I'm done and I'll never step foot in the hell hole again. I'll never order anything from Joann again. I do not recommend this store at all.
If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered something 3 weeks ago that was supposed to arrive within 5-10 business days (which is really long anyway in this day and age) and I've called numerous times and followed up and everytime, they just say, we'll put in a request and escalate it and you'll hear from us within 3 business days. Then it's "we'll check with the vendor and get back to you". Around and around. I ordered something for a time sensitive project and devastated my 11 year old girl trying to surprise her grandma with something. I decided to shop online because I find the employees in my local store rude and unhelpful but this is the last straw with this company. Hobby Lobby might not have as much selection, but the people there have always been incredibly kind and willing to help and answer all my questions without making it seem like I'm interrupting their day.
I will never order online at the website for home shipping again! Items damaged, missing, cancelled and sloooow shipping to boot! Ordering online for instore pick- up can guarantee something in your pick up order will be cancelled 100% of the time. Items displayed online that are supposedly available in store to purchase most likely are not. I just drove there now to purchase something advertised. The cashier is "Yeah, not sure when that's coming in." I had to tell her 3 times that I drove there b/c it is advertised that it exists now to purchase, She didn't get it. Also, she rang my items up incorrectly so had to void. She re-rang them but undercharged me so my coupon didn't work. I had to explain to her that I met the qualifications for purchase but her math was incorrect and that is why the coupon didn't work. No apology.
On October 15th 2023 I ordered a Christmas Tree stand. Within minutes I realized I did not want the item, but they have a policy that you cannot cancel an order once placed. I waited for the item to arrive and it did so I requested a return label. They state a hassle free return policy, but after several requests via email no response. They are out of Hudson Ohio so I called, but no one answers. This is the worst customer service ever and do not recommend purchasing anything from Joann stores or online. They are dishonest and deceptive.
I love all of the employees at this location, I drive out of town to go there from Oakley, so when I go in and Liz, an older gal with long very blonde hair is rude and grumpy when I ask a simple question, and she literally points in the direction of where I need to find my product, I just think, she's in the wrong business. Our country has challenges right now I get that, a specific reason to help each other when we can, ban together when we can, it's the simple things, simple gestures than can really go a long way in someone's day. If your having a bad day, refer your customer to another employee, that is fine. We get struggles, bad days but she's bossy, grumpy and has a sour look on her face quite often. Maybe pick a back of the store job where you don't deal with customers. I don't like writing bad reviews, but she's been like this for a while. I asked two younger gals at the register if I did anything wrong, the gals said no, it wasn't me. They didn't have to throw her under the bus for me to know she makes their life miserable too. Another older gal who is always at the sewing counter, I believe her name is Carol, is always helpful and goes out of her way. I'm sure it's hard to work as you get older but Carol makes the best of it and always makes my day with her genuine helpfulness. My post is to be helpful, constructive and just stating the facts.
UPDATE! MY PACKAGE ARRIVED TODAY! THIS WAS USPS NOT DOING THEIR JOB OF UPDATING THE INFO!
This is about purchasing an item that is in stock. They received my order and packed it. One day later on 10/11/23. I received and email with tracking info. Today's date is 10/14/23. I checked the status of my shipment just now, and the carrier has NOT even picked the package up. Literally one state away.
AT THIS POINT IM NOT SURE WHO IS WORSE FEDEX OR USPS. GUESS I BE A WALK IN CUSTOMER FORM KOW ON.
I placed an order a week ago and it never has shown up in My Orders in My Account on their website. As soon as I saw it was missing from My Orders, I chose contact us on their website and tried to open the chat option. The chat option didn't work. Each time I clicked on it, it took me to the same form that I was taken to when I clicked on send a message. I immediately sent a message asking them why my order wasn't showing up in my orders. No one answered. I waited four days and sent an email to their customer service email. No one answered. Fortunately, I took a screenshot of the order when I placed it so I'd have the order number. When I put in the order number under track my order, it does show that I mad an order but it's been on processing for a week now. Yet, in spite of the fact that its looking like I'm never going to get my order, they sure as heck took the $114 out of the account I charged the order to.
In addition to this frustration, when I tried to place the order the website kept messing up. It accepted my coupon code six times in a row yet each time I started to complete the order and the coupon code would disappear, so I'd back out and put the coupon code in again and each time the same thing happened until the seventh time I put it in and that time the coupon code remained all the way through checkout. But, then my order didn't show up in my orders.
In addition, my last order with them, I ordered an expensive rack system for storing my jewelry supplies and I ordered the large one and they sent the small one and I never did get responses to get that resolved, so I've had to settle for the small one. They used to be a really good and reliable company so I thought I'd ignore that mistake and try shopping with them again but now that I'm having a second really bad experience I think I'll take my business to Michaels stores from now on.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
