Never buying from Joann again. Absolutely the worst online retailer there is. Ordered Christmas wrapping paper on 11/25. Order was processing. Received an email notification stating my order was delayed on 12/15...Wow, only 3 weeks after placing the order! At this point I sent an email to find out why my order hadn't shipped and what the status was. No response. Instead, I get an email telling me my entire order has been cancelled on 12/21. Ordered way in advance not to find myself searching for wrapping paper last minute and now that's exactly what I am being forced to do. Know you inventory, communicate with your customer, give timely updates! Guess it could have been worse...if they had sent me the wrapping paper folded in half like another unfortunate reviewer experienced I would have been on the war path...how ridiculous is that? Done with Joann...If you value your time, and want a positive customer service experience you should too! Happy Holidays Everyone!
Long story short. In store customer service is excellent. Their online team is a joke. Placed an order about a month ago for about 25 related christmas items. Some shipped. Some never did. I got several emails from their customer service "we are so sorry your order has been delayes" these emails went on for about 3 weeks. I responded multiple times requesting a cancelation of my order.since it had been weeks and I had already gone out and bought the stuff I needed that I initially ordered online.
AN AI robot emailed me back after I requested cancelation and stated that I was no longer allowed to cancel the order. I got another email with one of the missing items having shipped.
Today I received another email stating that the things I ordered were no longer in stock and my ordered would be canceled. A person has yet to respond to me from joanns. Will not shop online here again.
I am very disgusted with jo Ann fabric online. Took almost 3 weeks for my first items to ship. I received items one or 2 at a time. When I received my stuff it was nothing like I had purchased in the store. It looked like something u would find in a discounted outlet store. Some of things I wanted to order was out of stock understandable but the stuff I did order stated it was in stocks only to be canceled after waiting so long, when I could have gone to another store and purchased but now can't get. I will never order again nor will I recommend anyone.
"I placed an order online on December 9. Something last minute to throw together for a gift and a small item I was out of. Two days later I started getting the emails telling me the order was delayed. No estimated date of delivery, just - late. Now I know there is not going to be enough time to make up the gift, so I want to cancel the order. That's when the fun began. No 800 number. Only a local Ohio number. Which I called. And heard a recording, saying they were very busy and no longer answering their phones. I have to either text or email them. Sent texts. Sent emails. NO RESPONSE. EVER. Finally, went to BBB and discovered hundreds of other people with the same problem. Once the BBB got involved, I did get a response. I asked for a refund - Joann's "shipped" the item. Now I will have to go through the whole return rigamarole. IF the order ever comes. Today the order arrived, banged up and dirty, and totally useless. Maybe the brick and mortar stores are doing ok, but BEWARE ordering anything from them online. Just, NO. Don't do it!"
Ordered online a month ago. Still have NOT received it. They're NOT taking calls, email response says we cannot cancel your order. APPALLING! Yes you can cancel, but are refusing. Kept my money and NO ORDER! I will not shop here again!
They don't help my. Mom when she told them to cut a yard down but they like sorry can't help you so my mom want. Different place I was upset because they didn't do sewing class there they said didn't have customer service
I knew its was a busy season so I tried to be patient. Checked their shipping and processing information and patiently waited. Days went by. Days turned into weeks. I emailed joanns customer service. Received an automated response telling me they'd get back in 48 hours. TWO WEEKS go by. No contact. I email again. Nothing again. I ask to be escalated because this is ridiculous. Of course I get one baby response "I'll check on this and escalate to a manger" No management contact. I wait again. 2 days shy of waiting a full month after placing my order and they CANCEL my order. No sewing machine for me. No contact for resolution. Just a big F U from Joanns. I used to shop at joanns semi regular but I'll never step foot into another Joanns again. $#*! service. $#*! company. What a waste of time and space. As someone who works in customer service, I'm appalled at the poor practices, probably because Joanns isn't paying enough nor do they have enough employees. Slave labor but nothing to show for it. I don't know how anyone in this company sleeps at night. Y'all couldn't pay me to shop here. One week to Christmas and all I get is disappointment. I hope others read reviews online before purchasing cause I made the mistake of not doing so. Apparently the only way to get a response from Joanns is to go to the better business bureau. What a joke.
I did not get my order on time they took 10 days to ship it and they don't answer txt, emails, or calls. Horrible customer service.

Today is a day of instant gratification. And quite frankly-any company that chooses to disregard this, or not make this a priority in their "marketing Meetings" will surely end up as the proverbial " low man on the totem pole". An order still in the processing mode 6 days after being placed - with zero opportunity to cancel, or speak with a actual representative is like going back to the 1960's. This is a 24-7 online world. Bought wrapping paper for a special kids party online 19 days ago. Checked last week was still daying processing. I emailed twice for an eta and cancel request if it wouldn't arruve by today. Not a single answer. Emailed today and got virtual Annie who said they can't cancel even though its not shipped. Also can't tell me when or if I will ever receive my item.
Why in the world would a company not have customer service available on weekends? The cutesy.message that they're crafting doesn't fly. Just allows more time for us to not reach someone. I ordered something on 11/24 and it didn't ship yet. Was told the regular 10 business days or whatever. Well, it's been that. Meanwhile, stuff I ordered is being canceled but was there when I ordered it. Will call again today. Hassle overall and don't recommend ordering from them online.
Never buy anything with a cord they will not replace it. I will never buy from them again. Bought machine and don't even work.
Has Bots to intercede when you need a human, does not fill orders for a least a week after placed. Placed an order for 4 pkgs of normal sewing machine needles and the order was still in the "processing" phase 7 days later so I wrote to cancel the order and their Bot, named Annie, would not refer me to a human, can't get one on calling either, and would not cancel the order even though they they hadn't even processed it yet a week out, much less mailed it which they charged me $10 to mail these few needles unless you buy $20 worth. Anyway do not shop online with this store, I won't even go to it again after this. The store I was shopping was Las Cruces, NM because I live two hours away from them. Finally got response from human, I think, they don't tell you when you shop their website that the orders won't even be filled for 6-10 days much less shipped or mailed.
This review will mostly be on reference to yarn and holiday items. I've had terrible online ordering experiences more than once recently. The first really bad experience was my entire order getting cancelled with absolutely no notification it had been. I had to call and ask customer service what was happening and was told it was a very rare system glitch. I then was required to go through my order online and I had to tell them what I wanted to reorder and what was listed as out of stock online now. As the customer that seems like it was completely not my kob, but I did it because I really wanted some of those items. My next horrible experience was ordering a bunch of items during a sale. More than two weeks later my entire order (minus just a few items that have either shipped or were cancelled, again with no notice) is still pending. Customer service was exactly zero help too. I'm also disappointed that it seems they are stocking less and less in store and only have certain brands available online. With the laggy, glitchy website being my only option most of the time it's really not worth it anymore. Spend your money elsewhere. Joanns doesn't care anymore.
I placed an online order for 24 Christmas tree ornaments. It took longer than normal to receive 2 partial shipments. After receiving no additional shipping information, I called and was on hold for 50 minutes before speaking with someone. I was told I would receive the rest of my order on Monday, December 4th. I did not. I called again on Tuesday and was told my case would be escalated and I would receive a response within 3 business days. Well, it is now Friday with no response. I need the rest of the items by Monday for a work Christmas party. If there was a problem fulfilling the quantity, I should not have been able to place the order in my opinion. I should have at least received a response by now. I also never received a response to an email that was sent before even calling. Will not be ordering from this company again.
I never shop there, but made the mistake of buying one item online. Despite numerous efforts to contact customer service (they assure a response within 2 business days), they never replied. Nearly 3 weeks after the order it still hasn't shipped.
My order has been in processing mode for over 25 days. Call their customer service 6 times. Each time given a different story. I finally ask for a refund and they refused - stating my debit charge was never charged. That's a complete lie. Finally called my bank and they are going to credit my account and file a claim against Joann
Why whenever I order something from Joann I get a " There's a delay" email?!
This will be the last time and lesson learned.
I ordered my fabric and notions online on Cyber Monday and there has been NO activity to process my order and no answers to my queries about my order to customer service.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
