We needed a new steering shaft for our riding zero-turn mower. Using the diagrams on the website, we were able to identify the part we needed, clicked to add to cart and proceeded through the easy payment process. I received an email right away with the receipt and soon after, I received another email saying my part has shipped. Within 2 days I had my part and am ready to mow when the weather warms up. I will be doing more business with Jack's in the future. Thank you for such a flawless shopping experience

Ordered an engine,6 days later I had to go to their website to find out they canceled the order...no email,no notifications whatsoever.I called their"customer service". Their excuse was that the engine was discontinued,but when I looked up that engine it was still listed but for another &100 I consider it the bait and switch bull$#*!. Probably my fault,they did the same thing a few years ago and I said I would never do business with them again,but I forgot. Meanwhile my money will take 5-7 days to get back into my account. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS POS COMPANY!

I have used Jack's Small Engines for parts purchases several times in the past and had been very satisfied with the company's stock availability and customer support. Then the order I made on Sept. 27,2023 indicated on my order status as all parts delayed by 5 weeks! They state that parts which are on back order will be noted at time of purchase but that notification must have been in small print because I did not see that at all before I completed and paid for the order. They had no problem taking my money though and charged the order to my credit card immediately! I noted that also in small print at the very bottom of their web page this: "Jacks Small Engines, now part of the Northern Tool & Equipment Family" (as of May 13,2021 I found out). I tried calling customer service and got the "there are 5 callers ahead of you, your wait time is 13 minutes" message. Many minutes later, "there are 4 callers...wait time 22 minutes"...fewer callers, longer wait? Another several minutes; 'callers 4 wait time 28 minutes', then I gave up the phone attempt and sent an email requesting refund due to the excessive back order schedule. At this point, it was feeling a little scammy and it would appear that being acquired by NT did not bring along with it Jack's prior 'good service' acumen. I am waiting for the promised reply to my email to Jack's, which they advertise will be "within 24 hours". I'll be looking elsewhere for parts from now on. For now, I'm hoping for a quick refund without the BS that others have been experiencing!

Gave up my morning break and now my lunch break on hold for customer service. The whole time hearing "we at Jack's small engines feel the after sales support is as important as before the sales" How about putting some of your emailers on a telephone.

If schedule means anything to you or your customers - double check before you order online with this company. This is the second time in as many months I ordered from this company. Both times the web site advised that all the parts were available and in stock. Both times after paying for the product I was advised it was on order and it would arrive sometime in the future - no promise date. Bottom Line - if schedule is important I advise that you seek other sources that don't employ these deceptive practices to improve their sales numbers.

My order was first sent by FedEx a month ago. Fex Ex said it was due to two different addresses so it went on hold in K. C. for a week and was sent back to Jacks. There it sit until l called them and said they had just received it back. They would reship it but with UPSC. THE SNAIL MAIL. A month has gone by and it is still not here. I paid good money to ship it when first ordered my stuff. Lots of grass grows in a month. I do belive the shipping labels were bad to start but my address was inputed correct. Strongly feel they let the ball sit on this orderand l will not order from them again. Hope you read this before you use them as your source of purchase.

Tip for consumers:
What happened to my first shipment and the delays ,then SNAIL shipping thru USPC. Did FedEx Ex .mess up don't think so . Product returned to shipping then form worse to ridiculous. Bad handling no doubt . One month.

Ordered a part one month ago and no part yet plus they charged my card when i ordered. No quality control. I canceled my order and expect a refund and they were nice about that... hope it does not take a month. I ordered part from another dealer and part was shipped the same day. Might have to find another dealer then Jacks. They were good in the past but what happened

I posted two messages on their web site requesting information about a replacement engine for my mower. Yesterday I received a reply to my review. They said jack's small engines doesn't and never has had a web site. All I know is when I type in "jack'sdmallengines.com" I found a company that sells lawnmower parts. I tried to call them but had to us their "contact us" section to send a typed message. I also found a statement that Jack's closed in December 2019. Is there a Jack's Small Engines anymore?

If what you want is in stock and you're willing to wait a while to get it, okay. Otherwise, try another place. I placed an order, then needed to add one more part to my order, and one part that they said was in stock actually was not. Making these adjustments was nearly impossible.
They don't answer emails or online posts and you'll be on hold for a very long time if you try to call them. I waited 10 days for the parts actually in stock, and after 10 more days still don't have the out-of-stock part, even though online order status says "shipped". Maybe I'll get it -- someday. Parts are available elsewhere, I will never order again from this place.

Ordered parts that were supposedly in stock than got email stating they were back ordered. Parts finally arrived about two months later. I also didn't like the fact they charged my credit card immediately even though the parts were out of stock.

If you are over 60 order may not arrive in time, VERY SLOW said was in stock at time of order then notified had to come from factory, Order August 7th advised order was shipped Aug. 22nd. Lost that customer.
