IXL

It's bad. You'll regret doing this and I wonder why they didn't make this as a tool for extreme punishment. If there's one thing you should learn in life, its that IXL is horrible. I bet Khan Academy is better, wait never mind. Khan Academy IS better, so I don't have to bet actually.

Now I use IXL on a everyday basis because I have to for school. But why does IXL work like this. For those who don't know what IXL is like well you are required to answer the question given to you and if you get it right then you go up by so and so points. But if you go down on the other hand, you will go down by so many points. Why can't we skip a question we don't like or why when we get it wrong why can't it just explain what we did wrong. The only good thing about IXL is finishing the topic. Just saying if you genuinely like this website kudos to you because its stressful. Also, the explanation page is so dumb. It shows the way they want you to solve the problem not the way you are taught. Just goodluck if you do this and God bless.

Dude, IXL sucks. Honestly it's about to make me kill myself. Any cuss word you can think of describes IXL. Not even gona cap this is a crap program. My math teacher makes us do this ALLLLLL the time > :/

This is a great method of torture. If you child is acting up, take away their things and tell them to get 100 on any math IXL. They will experience a lot more pain, suffering, and anguish if you just take away their things for a day.

This is a horrible website I dont know why schools still use it. They just wants stress on their students. This website gives stress because they will remove points when you get something wrong that's pretty stupid. That makes students upset at themselves when they get something wrong. That's wrong you should be upset at yourself if you do something wrong but ixl makes it seem that way. Ixl should be shut down. ASAP.If i could do a 0 star review i would.

IXL is an uncreative and rigged website to learn on it does not have any good explanation. The website make me cry because of it's rigged questions and my dad forces me to do this painful website made by paul mishf**ks

Whenever you get like a number wrong instead of saying like "try again" or something it makes you go back. Another reason that I suddenly realized that when you first get a right answer you get like 10 "points" so like 10% out of 100% in like the end instead of getting 10 points you start getting only 1 point per correct answer. Also, it doesn't matter how many minutes or hours and how much you struggle it just gives you that much. However if you get one wrong like 10 points of something get cut so it would take you ten questions to recover your place.

This is not a good teaching website whatsoever. IXL is a endless rabbit hole of work. They have this scale that determines if you are smart are not luckily mostly everyone is dumb on this scale which they call a smart score. This is how it works basically if you have a score of 70 or abov you get a question right score goes up two points, but if you get one wrong score goes down 10 - 16 points. Now tell me does that seem fair to you. My fellow students agree with me.

Hi i am a student from 8 grade i am having a lot of problems with the 8 grade continents/ocean they want you to write is like The Artic ocean

Ixl has given stress. Its also unfair how we get not that many points on one question but we lose more than we earn when we get one wrong. Ixl is a lot of work too. Schools use it, and that's all the proof I need to dislike it, but to my surprise its worse than that. You should not make your kids do this app! It cause stress! Children get over whelmed! Some people enjoy, and the app is getting good rating from strict/not strict teachers and touters!

This site will drive your kids crazy. This website will make your child gain points rapidly for question after question, but after it reaches a certain limit, it will give you 1-2 points for getting the right answer, but subtract 10-20 points for a wrong answer. This stresses kids out immensely and should never be used by educators.

This is the worst $#*!ing app ever you could be at 99 percent and get 1 question wrong and go back 20 percent also it makes me want to literally bash my head into a window I almost broke my iPad because of it also have the time it doesn't even load if your giong to a school and they make you do ixl get ready for a hellhole

I was on ixl for a lesson on percentages. When I was on my last question I got it wrong, no worries right?
WRONG I got down from a 99 to a 87 But when i get something right, I only get 3 points.
I love ixl but this makes it to 2 stars, If the points problem was fixed a 5 stars.

There are lots of reviews on here that have one or two stars but those are just kids who hate learning and don't know the Insufferable pain that is I-Ready. IXL has helped me a lot through middle school and to put how helpful IXL is into perspective I learned imaginary numbers in 7th grade. Please do not listen to all these whiny kids who don't like learning.

$#*! ixl, I don't know how many times I've punched my computer because I lost an absurd amount of points. At least Khan Academy allows you to review your answer if you got it incorrect. Ixl has the most bull$#*! point system. Considering teachers base your completion of the skill on points, you can guess how that goes. I've been doing IXLs since I've been in the 1st grade, even as a young man I knew that the creators of IXL needs to burn in hell.

Stop assigning IXLs, please.

I think IXL© is a scam, it has much more room for improvement it has trouble teaching you the subject.
Like when you get a question wrong it just tells you what the right answer is and instead it could do that and walk you through on how to do it. That is my opinion on ixl
