IXL sucks soooooo much! NEVER EVER NEVER use it to learn, if you get one right you go up 3 and if you get one wrong you go down 10?!? Like what!? ITS SO FRUSTRATING AND STUPID and the examples are HORRIBLE, you can spen 50 min on it and only get to 30💀💀💀💀

I absolutely do not recommend it. One, lets say you get a question right. WELL IT STRAIGHT UP TELLS YOU THAT YOU ARE WRONG, GIVES YOU THE ANSWER AND SAYS "THIS IS THE ANSWER" AND IT HAS THE SAME ANSWER THE YOU PUT IN THE FIRST PLACE! And then, when you get a question right, it brings you up one point, and then when you get one wrong, IT BRINGS YOU DOWN 10 POINTS. Its almost like they are trying to annoy me. I was at a 90 and i got one question wrong, and it brought me down 40 friggin' points and it turns out the whole time I actually got it right. And the thing is, I can't just quit it, because my teachers take grades on ixl. Thanks a lot.

Hello. I am a fifth-graders mom. Anyways, I think IXL is an average learning website to use but it has many downsides. I might've said that IXL was a great website to use, but it actually is getting worse and worse. However, since IXL is semi-decent, I have to give them credit for not making kids cringe. My son actually liked this website and he usually doesn't refuse to use this website but after some time, he started to smash his computer. It is also very easy to use. It contains quite a good amount of skills to learn, unlike Zearn with only one skill, math. Unfortunately, it is very expensive to get unless the district has it for free. (I think) The main problem I am having with this website is that it has a very unfair and questionable diagnostic and "Smartscore" system. It literally took him 2 questions while at 85+ "Smartscore" due to the fact that he loses like 15 - 25 "Smartscore" just from getting one question wrong. My son is very smart so he can get to 1,000 stars in vocabulary and writing strategies in fifth grade. Even though he has lots of stars, he lost 100 stars just because he couldn't log into his account. He has recently reclaimed his title, but he will never use IXL again unless he loses his stars. All in all, I think this website has some potential for being good, but at the same time, not really.

IXL is overall not very helpful to me. It is very uninteresting and its point system is very outdated. The point system will start at 0, and when I get a problem right, it gives me about, 6-8 points, but if you get a problem wrong, it will take away 10-12 points and it is very frustrating when you need to get it done. It also gives younger kids (and just kids in general) no encouragement! You can't just tell a kindergartener "you haven't mastered any skills"! They think of that sentence as "haha, you're dumb and terrible and counting". It's frustrating me to ridiculous levels! All schools should use Khan Academy because it's way better and offers you actual help with math and many other topics AND it's free! IXL charges you a whopping 80 DOLLARS A MONTH! Teachers are wasting their money on something that isn't even helping us kids! Everyone should use Khan Academy! ( also I accidentally went on IXL's view source page and GUESS WHAT I FOUND!? It says the smart score system is out of date!

My family was living happily till my daughter came across Ixl I thought it was normal till she got abducted by Ixl's alien agents and I haven't seen my little sence
Then my son found Ixl and he got abducted by Ixl and now all he wants to do is Ixl so I threw my dad at him so he stopped playing but now I'm abducted by it

Its so bad and stressful when i say it sucks i mean it SUCKS. Its one of the most stressful apps in the world
if i could kill IXL I WOULD but sadly i can, t I DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you are kid its so uncouraging

So im in one of the best schools in my country and its horrible. I dont know why the best school in the country would make us use the one website tat has 1.2 ratings. BRUH

IXL is way too hard for children. They get close 100 but then ONE QUESTION WRONG, they get bumped back too far. It is not easy for children to be doing it. As an adult, I find it hard to do it as well. Kids in pre-k will get stressed. But why is pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade even on there in the first place? I don't think they would be very happy if I told my kindergarten kids they would have to do IXL. It is easy for an older kid, but it's not suitable for them. I find it funny they put questions that are more suitable for an older grade inside a 5th grade (or under) lesson that is better for 6th or 7th. I let my 5th grader do this for a month and she got tried of doing it so we quit. It is good for a crazy smart kid? Yes, but not an average one. They membership is so expensive! That is enough to buy food! Yes learning is important, but, it's so expensive! My kid couldn't handle it anymore. She would quit through half of a lesson! Which I could understand. I tried it, I couldn't do it myself!

Ixl is the worst learning app because when your in your 70s, 80s, 90s you only earn 1 point but when you get a question wrong you lose like 10. So thats why IXL is bad and rigged.

Ixl sucks because i will be at 69 and get one wrong and go down to 51 and i have to waist my not so long time and be so frushtrared at the same time get rid of it!

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY SO MUCH MONEY FOR THIS F*CKY SH*TY WEBSITE. IXL IS A WEBSITE MADE BY ADOLF HITLER HIMSELF TO TORTURE THE JEWS AND IS STILL USED TO THIS DAY TO TORTURE KIDS UNTIL THEY DIE. I ONCE SPEN 1 HOUR ON 1 IXL. THE WORST PART IS IF YOU GET A F*CKING QUESTION WRONG YOU LOSE 70 POINTS, (AT LEAST) AND YOU GAIN 0.1 POINTS. (AT MOST) DO NOT USE THIS F*CKING WEBSTIE CUZ IT IS A PEICE OF F*CKY SH*T. MAKE SURE IXL SEES THIS, THEY NEED THIS FEEDBACK FOR THIS F*CKING WEBSITE.

I am in 7th grade, and this site is awful. It caused more stress than regular math and doesn't help anyone learn.

Imagine that you are on 99 and you are nearly done and you are typing fast and you know that is the right answer, then you type the answer and it did't get the first letter/number and just after that you submit it without looking… you lost 10-15 points and you got SUPER MAD AND IT HAPPENS TO ME ALWAYS. It does not help with any type of learning, but teachers think it's extremely helpful because on how it punishes you for getting one question wrong.
