Webpress support is good as well as decent interface. I wish you guys a bit better on renewals. Each time you want to screw us with your high prices but then give discounts. It has been 10 years now still you try every year. You must build a database, lets have his personal site no cost do not try to charge extravagant like it is a giant microsoft website. This is a guy barely pays his house mortagge.

I have been a customer with multiple accounts of hostgator for over 10 years. Easily the best hosting service I have ever used and I will always go to them for anything web related no questions asked! 10/10 recommend!
I've been with Hostgator for many years. The new panel is awful - missing half of what I routinely use, obscure with the rest. In particular I can find no way to cancel a redundant SSL and it's really pissing me off. Additionally, some of our sites began to fail because you added an automated WordPress core update, then switched it on without telling anybody, and then it worked like crap, not updating all files, thus rendering the sites unstable. Garbage.
Previous administrator was already with HG. I decided to take over the hosting myself under my own account. It was all downhill from there. Nobody speaks understandable English, representatives will outright lie to you (I was told multiple times I was holding for a supervisor. 1 rep finally admitted there was no supervisor). Migration team doesn't accept phone calls. Everything is translated through the customer service team, which can't help at all. I will never, ever use this company
You have been a reliable host so far. The new version requires more and confusing steps for me to access to my files to update. I use Visual Studio to create content, then upload to HostGator. Your priority should provide "how to make it easy to access and update my files", instead of selling me features I don't need. Thank you, guys for being a good reliable host. Was okay in that I have a working and attractive website. Less than satisfied with lack of clarity for a layman trying to set it up. Still lack some features like communication links and blogs separate from normal web content.

Star rating & Tyler Moore video, but I should have chosen Bluehost I think because it has possibly free reliable SMPT bulk email. But I ay be wrong. Also most importantly there was a great YouTube by Tyler Moore with the first 15min showing very simply how to set up low cost HostGator and domain name. For about $30 then WordPress detailed step by step. He is very good at not missing steps.
Bait and switch. Dishonest and will trick you into a plan and then start hitting you up for charges. Even provided them with screen shots of their website showing what services were in my plan at the time of purchase and they still demanded addl fees for everything.

I tried hostgator because it was the same owner as Bluehost and Bluehost seemed to be getting too expensive. Now I know why. Bluehost Hosting. Rock solid and dependable. Great customer service. Had been with them 20 years before trying Hostgator. Went right back to Bluehost. A little more expensive but well worth it.
In hindsight it was a mistake to choose AND remain with HostGator. All my sites and domains were down, caused by HostGator. 12 domains and sites in total. They re-created them, changing contact info, locking the domains from transfers and I still haven't been able to update or create my sites in 5+ months, but they won't help, no credits and run customers in circles. Requested a refund, nope. Now have to resort to chargebacks for one company. Worst experiences in my 12+ years of building website.

For several years, HostGator provided me with an excellent service to host my domain and everything that came with it. At some point last year, I began to be charged double the monthly subscription fee without warning. Moreover, this fee had increased by 10$. I never received a refund or any legitimate reasoning or apology for why this occurred. After seven years, I've chosen to leave and take my business elsewhere.
Marti successfully helped me solve a problem that has been going on for a month with Hostgator that multiple others at your company could not solve even after escalation. Back in 2004 because you had fast servers, great service and were unique in the market. Lots has changed since then. In Sep. 2023 you have raised the prices by 60%+ on many customers with no prior notice and you're not even willing to fix issues that have been going on for years now. It's sad. I would not choose you again, unless you up your game and lower your prices again.
Very poor integration of changes made in Nov. That were not made known to front line and above support techs, regarding admin privileges. Logging in requires so many steps just to get to cp because of the non stop promotions. Nothing is one click access. Terrible design. Also, they push you towards chat vs phone support but you ask a question on chat and wait ±5 minutes for any response, which tells me they are juggling who knows how many calls. Lastly, please change the on hold music to option OFF
Pop email and NOT Microsoft 365 or Google as backoffice. Like most other providers are moving to Though I am considering switching hosting providers over the jump in prices for my plan since that is a 56% increase for me to keep my current features with no value add. Even though paying in advance reduces that bill overall if feels like I am being pushed into a corner. No it is not a ton of money but every dollar counts in this economy and it is only one of many things in my life that now costs more.
Hello. I have had a lot of problems in the last week being able to send emails from the domains that I have hosted on my hosting account. Everything indicates that the SMTP server associated with my account has problems. But it could not be solved. Yesterday I tried to use the support service through live chat, but in the area where I live we suffered from a power outage. So it hasn't been solved yet. Now the problem is added that I cannot access the websites of each domain that I have hosted on my hosting.
I've had a few communication issues during my last few encounters to make some different changes to my previous setup, but everyone I spoke with & that helped me were very professional, knowledgeable & was willing to help me resolve my issues. I normally pass on leaving reviews good or bad but, I was happy to leave positive reviews after speaking with several staff members. Thanks & I look forward to using host gator for many years to come for my web building needs! Lately its hard to have any kind of human interactions with customer service if you have any kind of technical issues that may be unique & not in a forum question but its also a plus you guys have that access. KUDOS!
Seemed legit, not scammy
I am very disappointed with my HostGator Experience. It was fine for a few months and then outa nowhere our site was removed...all payments were made, eery month Host Gator made sure to pull from our creditcard as long as funds were available it was gone. Yet no one, not 1 single agent could fix our issue. We havent been able to see our website for approximately 5months. At this point we've given up and it's sad that this is the result!
