Purchased a 3 year subscription.

Service is slow (2 Mbps Down) and the customer support is even slower.

Do not waste your time or money with this service.

I have been a customer for a good many years now. I decided that this year I would not renew since I need to cut back on expenses. I wrote to customer service and received no reply so after a while I opened a dispute with Paypal.

After a week or so I got a reply from HMA saying that they would reverse the charge if I canceled my Paypal dispute which I did immediately, sending a copy of proof back to their rep.

Almost two weeks go by and 7 emails from me and finally they reply saying that it will take at least 4 weeks since there is an open Paypal case even though I have sent the proof several times that the case had been closed.

HMA is either highly incompetent, highly unethical or just plain spiteful. Also, there is no customer service telephone number so you are at the mercy of the emplyees reading and responding to email which they do a very poor job of. I clearly instructed them IN WRITING two weeks in advance NOT to renew my subscription but they went ahead and did it anyway. After having been a satisfied customer for all the years I was with them, I am now a very UNsatisfied customer and warn all would-be customers that their customer service is awful. Caveat emptor.

Just avoid it! HideMyAss (HMA) is the worst VPN service amongst all VPN services. Expensive, slow, keeps disconnecting and not good for streaming.

Beware HMA! When the trial ends, they lock you out of your account, bill you, and are impossible to contact. The ONLY way to stop them from charging you is to cancel your paymeny method.

Their VPN is NOT secure, and also throttles your bandwidth.

THE WORST VPN YOU CAN IMAGINE. LEAKS ALL THE ADRESSES. I HAVE A SCREENSHOT WHERE I CONNECTED OUTSIDE CALIFORNIA BUT IP LOCATION CHECKS ON GOOGLE SHOWS ACTUAL ADDRESS. RUN AWAY FROM THIS SCAM

Once again I am confronted by a bad service that won't allow you to cancel your subscription online.
I travel a lot for my work but have a permanent address in the US. I pay for Netflix. However when you travel you can't access Netflix locally and so I have used Hidemyass as a VPN to access the US servers to watch Netflix.
Now Netflix has blocked HMA and other VPN's so I no longer need this VPN. OK, I watch too much TV anyway so I am probably better off
However, I want a refund from HMA for the unused portion of my annual contract - around 50$.
Nope, they will not refund my money even though I no longer use their service.
I am sick and tired of having to deal through emails with delays to get service.
Never again.
HMA says they use a third party, Cleverbridge, for payment processing so they cannot refund my money. Not so cleverbridge says the same thing. Again, I am paying for a service I am not getting.
Bad service, bad companies, no suppport.
