“SCAM and Lies”

Frank H.
1/2/24

The ad said they offer a very low rate of around $10/month. I only needed coverage to stop the state penalty of no insurance so this was fine. The form said there would be quotes after submission - Lie. There were no quotes and no quotes emailed to me. I started getting bombarded by phone calls. I answered one and of course it was an Indian call center. They said the lowest probably was around $250. Lies and they sold my information so now I am getting a lot of sales calls.

I went to Healthcare.gov, followed some links, and somehow ended up on healthcare.com. I thought it was linked to the official site and gave my info. I was immediately bombarded by texts. Over the last couple of days, I've blocked 391 different callers from all over the US. The only good thing I can say about this site is... at least they aren't calling me at night.

I was connected with an insurance agent who went through my basic medical details and quoted me for a medically-underwritten plan. He wouldn't tell me what the plan was called, or answer basic questions about what it covered. He was extremely sleazy ("bud" "pal" "you're guaranteed to have that covered") and wouldn't let me even get a word in. He insisted repeatedly I would have to enroll/sign-up for the plan to be able to read it (30-day window to review), and when I asked if there was some kind of a brochure on what it covered, or if he could email me the quote, he just hung-up on me mid-sentence.
My father sold cars for years, so I say this very intentionally, the guy I spoke with (said his name was Thomas) was sleazier than any used-car salesman I've ever met in my life. I'm pretty sure he broke half a dozen federal laws in the things he was saying to me during our call. Do NOT go through this website or its "agents."

I looked at their website. They sold my phone number to thousands of marketers I get 20-30 calls a day. Even on Sundays. You have to answer and ask each and everyone of them to remove your phone number. I hope someone out there can afford to sue them. Wish I could.

Guy called me right away and he said he could help and said "the plan" would cost however much (didn't actually give me the name of the plan just the total). I then told him my income was too low and I couldn't afford that he just hung up. Don't think many legit businesses would hang up like that. Sneaky of them to use a website with a near identical name as a legit one.

This company was horrible to work at. They laid a bunch of us off after making them a TON of money! They didn't even have the curtesy to talk to us live or let us ask questions. They recorded themselves then kicked us out of the system no warning or anything. That was so cowardly and why they are piece's of $#*!. They were horrible especially with how they handled Medicare! Be warned before working here!

These people have used the same trickery as the ones who have registered the DMV.COM domain, to try to get people to pay them more money for something they can get for less at DMV.GOV. In other words, do NOT select the first (promoted) result on the Google results when you search because healthcare.COM will appear and they are NOT healthcare.GOV! They will try to make you think that they are, in fact, I asked the high pressure sales guy on the phone many time if they were the government site and got evasive and misleading answers.

If you put your info in the initial form, thinking you are signing up for the Affordable Care Act marketplace, you will IMMEDIATELY get a phone call from them and they will start the obviously high pressure sales pitch to get you to pay, right then and there, for one of they more expensive plans than you would get when you really sign up with the REAL healthcare.gov site and have all your income, etc. examined.

Once I realized who they were, really, I hung up and blocked the number. Just glad I never had to give them anything else, like SSN, because they already got too much personal data from their initial form questions and that worries me, since they do not seem very honest.

I made the mistake of giving these people my phone and email. I spoke at length to the first agent and determined that I am not a candidate for private insurance. There is no reason for them to keep calling but I have been spammed with more than a dozen calls per day for the past few days (from all different numbers) as well as emails and texts. They are hard-sell and are not honest about what it takes to qualify for private insurance.

If you give them your phone number be ready to have your phone disconnected or change your number. You will be inundated with calls nonstop. This should not even be legal. I wish I could get their numbers and call the at home constantly. Just wrong!

The insurance agent was disrespectful and rude while on the phone. Her tone was condescending. Probably the worst customer service I ever had.

I would give zero calls if possible. I mistakingly gave my phone number thinking this company was healthcare.org. Now I receive calls every hour every day, all day. Healthcare.com, again I am on the do not call list, do not continue contacting me.

Horrible lying scammers at the lowest level. Just ask to see the policy in writing in the first few words. Even if you you're not interested they ignore it and keep going.
They resist saying their true company name until you press them. If they do tell you, look up the company on BBB... horrible. They are selling a health related product... but its nothing you need whatsoever. Its total farce.

I have received multiple calls a day from all over the country for the past month. You would think a site given the name healthcare.com would be safe to just get a rough idea of the cost of private insurance. I'm amazed this site is still allowed to be up. Might have to change my phone number.

Another scam site. After offering a HC plan from top-rated Providence for $261/mo, the online policy page showed a non-name junk-rated company. When I inquired about the unannounced chance, I was switched to 'Daniel,' who claimed that the Providence plan is not avail; able in WA. Daniel screamed at me that it wasn't a big deal... This site is a scam; avoid it!

This is the worst website / company i have ever been in contact with. After asking to be taken off the call list i was told to "shut the F*** up" and that the agent "did not care" about not wanting to be contacted. The number that called was *******591 at 9:34am on 05/02/19. This however was the 23 time someone tried calling in the past 24 hours. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR INFORMATION.

I signed up for the website to get a quote. Got a call immediately, and figured out within 2 minutes that I didn't need the service. Then the calls started coming... all the calls. From every insurance company imaginable. Many called multiple times within a few hours when I didn't pick up. Some of them super angry that they were inconvenienced because they called me when I wasn't interested. One rep even kept yelling at me after I said I was not interested and I wanted to be put on a do not call list. I was expecting to get a call or two with a quote, but I wasn't expecting that when I said I was no longer interested, all these companies would stop calling me. STAY AWAY.

I wanted information on affordable healthcare in my area. I wanted an online quote and instead I got an immediate phone call to which I was told that there were no plans for my budget in the area. I thanked them and hung up. I now get 5 - 15 phone calls a day asking if I need health insurance. I do but I guarantee I won't be going through anyone who cold calls me. That is 100% scam potential. Lately they don't say anything but just hang up on me. Today I decided to call back. The gentleman knew my name before I even spoke. He asked if I needed health insurance. I told him politely to stop calling me. He said I've never called you but I will put you on the do not call list. Well thank you. HealthCare.com didn't not help and gave me even more problems. I am very disgusted with this company.

Like other reviews, I've had 50 calls in the last two days. Only one rep said that was BS to get all these calls. I just started answering and hanging up immediately. The agents that call should be ashamed of what they do. At least find a respectable line of work. Despicable!

Put your info onto this website at your own peril. If you do you will have your contact information out to an unlimited number of salespeople who will call you all day and night. NIGHTMARE.
