I don't drive, so I use the delivery service quite often. Sometimes Walmart doesn't have a delivery person and instead of cancelling the order or refunding your money, they let the delivery time come and go and put a hold on your money for 48hrs, they can't reschedule the delivery so they issue a refund that takes 3+days to process.
I ordered Christmas gifts for my kids using a promotional virtual gift master card from my cable company. Only one of the gifts arrived and the delivery driver apologized to me and said Walmart didn't load it into his van. Walmart issued a refund and I was waiting on the money to reorder the gift that didn't arrive. Two weeks have come and gone and the money hadn't been issued back to the card. I called and asked where my money was and was told that refund on prepaid cards can take up to 30days and to call back after that, so definitely won't be here in time for Christmas, why couldn't Walmart just allow me to pick up the gift as it was in stock or maybe send it out on the next round of deliveries? The authorization hold from the original order has been lifted and the transaction fully processed but the money was never returned.
I ordered a weeks worth of fresh leafy green veggies for inhome delivery, Walmart delivery frozen produce that quickly wilted and rotted as soon as it thawed. I was able to get a refund, but it's common sense not to store fresh veggies, especially veggies like lettuce and greens in the freezer. What the heck Walmart!?
As for the Christmas gift refund that I may not see until well after Christmas if at all. Thank goodness I have other gifts to put under the tree and the gifts from Walmart were bonus gifts I bought with my promotional reward visa from the cable company.
I am very disappointed that Walmart didn't do anything to make this right, it is Christmas for goodness sakes, what if that were the only gift I could afford!? One of my children would be giftless!
Why is it so hard for Walmart to simply redeliver the item they forgot to fulfill? Especially since I used inhome delivery and they schedule deliveries twice daily!? Why couldn't they offer to have me pick up my missing item or give me a Walmart gift card so that I could buy the gift before Christmas!? The delivery driver marked the item as missing on his end too so there is no questions that I am telling the truth. The gift was a dollhouse for my 2yr old, she would have loved to open this on Christmas. I am very disappointed
Shame on you Walmart
Did not receive product or refund
At around 5pm yesterday I arranged an online grocery delivery for this morning 9-10am slot. At 15 minutes to 10am I tracked, it was not being prepared. I called customer service, the agent checked with Instacart and said it was delayed? They would deliver before 11am. I was upset as I paid $8 for delivery and $3 for the delivery tips on a grocery bill of $36. Am I generous or stupid? Then the agent confirmed my wish to cancel the order (before 10am) because I don't want them to pick up bad fruit and milk that's only good for 2 more days as it's a last minutes purchase for the instacart shopper. However, while we were still on the phone, it was past 10am, I was confirmed by the supervisor that the purchase has been made and my credit card has been charged. Now it takes 5-7 business days for my refund to come through. I end up not getting my groceries at my paid for preferred time slot, and my credit card got charged and have to wait for 5-7 business days to refund. What did I do wrong, only because I chose Walmart online? I told the supervisor the only SPECULATION I could think of, Walmart was trying to fool online customers with an online purchase, with an average of $50+ for example. They can take 10 daily and ignored the delivery altogether, like I didn't even get a message that delivery be delayed until I called and checked. So the mathematics is $50 x 10 customer purchase = $500/day, until we asked for cancellation and refund Walmart has $500 to grow and make money 'elsewhere'. I'm just saying $500 x 10/day. The fact can be more. Wonder if I can file a claim to the police if they charge my credit card after their agent confirmed the cancellation was done, and it should be considered a fraud. PLEASE DO NOT EVER THINK ABOUT USING THEIR SERVICE AGAIN... TERRIBLE IS THE ONLY EXPERIENCE I HAVE WITH THEM

THIS IS OUR FORT GRATIOT DELIVERY STORE IN FORT GRATIOT, MICHIGAN...Ordered product for delivery next day. The time came, received an email stating delivery was delayed by 2 hrs. I waited...6 hrs. Went by. No delivery! Contacted the store, no one answered the service desk. Called 3 times, finally someone answered and said to call a certain cell tn# number that handles deliveries. I called that tn#. A girl answered, very unprofessionally. And handed me off to another girl, who then handed me off to a supervisor who then stated that MY ORDER had a glitch. Mine was the only one that had a glitch. He stated they made a ticket out but stated maybe if I cancelled my order and re-ordered, I could possibly get my items. He stated that "We were under the impression you were contacted." NO< I stated that I was not contacted. I just told him I would cancel and hung up. They took my $80 and my $12.95 fee before the 30 days were up. They told me to contact a toll free number which led me to a rep in Mexico. He said my $74.52 would be back on my card in 1 to 10 business days. I asked why not my total amount? Then he looked and said that the total amt. Would be back on my card. I asked about my membership fee and he said I would need to be transferred to another dept. I said, no, just keep the damn fee. I have been on the phone all day with these people. Not to mention how many times I had to talk and tell everything over and over again to at least 5 people on the phone. Waiting all day for my order. Out of money for my products I bought. Now why wasn't there a glitch in them taking my money? And...the tip? And the membership fee? WOW A sorry mention of an apology unaplogetically sounding. Unprofessional reps, unprofessional service, irresponsible contacts, BUT THEY TOOK MY MONEY! Now, what do I do? I am disabled and have to rely on transportation, and I wanted to use this service because of this, but I am out of my money and have no products I ordered and cannot go to the store to buy what I need. I have to wait until the money shows back up and hope the full amount comes back into my account. I can see why people rate this service from WALMART so poorly. Sad that this company doesn't care whether they have proper communication with their online customers. I cancelled the membership and the order. Will never order anything from this service again! This company needs to have a professional contact number, have professionals ansering the phone, communicate properly when things like this happen to customers by contacting them immediately instead of waiting for the ciustomer to call and ask where the order is.This supervisor knew my order had a glitch but why didn't he contact me asap and inform me of what to do. Did they even offer to compensate me for the inconveinience they impoised upon me? Hell no! I've had service from other places that are just as unnnqualified inthis online ordering service. The service people don't know how to communicate, apologize, they certainly don't know how to pick fresh produce, and are untimely and don't inform you of products that are not able to be obtained. I've gotten rotten fruit, I also put down one time I wanted some tomatoes on the vine, and hit the plus sign about 3 times and ended up with about 20 tomatoes instead of just 2 or 3. How funny is that? Have no common sense...cannot believe the service we get as customers. I have no pictures to show or purchases because I didn't get my order. Only an email stating I had cancelled and my money would be refunded for not the total amount minus the tip.lol WOW!
NOTHING..............I did not receive anything........
Specifically, the delivery is the absolute worst. Pickup and shipping have plenty of problems but my god their delivery service is shameful. Really think there should be a class action suit against them if so bad.
First, Wanted to pay one month for the service, they charged me for the whole year. Luckily I had the money on my account but many can't afford that at all. They told me they would cancel it for me but not reimburse me, I said why would I cancel something I paid for and they cancelled it anyways with no reimbursement, but they kept the services available to me but still show up as not a member. Since I was stuck with it may as well use it. Big mistake.
Their selection is limited online and you get no sales items. They charge of more online per item also. Then they are out of stock on a lot.
They charge you extra Incase items weigh more then the one you lot in your cart. Do not allow substitutions because they cannot figure out how to substitute. Then many of the items are out of stock when they shop for them. They aren't, literally was on the phone with my dil while she was at the same store and they had plenty of the items.
One time they only delivered less then half my order, when they came back to fix it... Is like they shipped someone else's list and gave me odd items like three extra large boxes of oatmeal, several hot dog buns. They do reimburse you usually. Few times they said I had to return items to the store. Uhm no you delivered the wrong stuff or damaged items.
Had a whole bag ruined with some weird orange substance. They tend to forget whole bags of dairy or frozen goods. I've never not had to contact customer service, every single order. Not small stuff either, I'll take the loss on a few bucks. Not worth the hassle.
Their messaging about the state of your order is never correct. Say it's on the way when it's not. Once got a it's been delayed, minute later happened to look out my window and saw my groceries sitting out in the hot Florida sun. Same time received a text that they are on their way yet twenty minutes earlier the driver had uploaded the photo. Never was notified. My groceries sat there for twenty minutes, frozen and dairy items.
They've delivered to the neighbors many times. Literally have three very large street numbers on the mail box which is right by the entrance to the driveway, and house. Neighbors have none.
Their customer service had to be trained to lie. That's all they do, phone or chat. Lies lies lies. "Cancelled your order ma'am - no they didn't, refunded your order - no they didn't, sent it you a gift code - no you didn't, etc".
Placed an order Thursday morning. Expected delivery 6-7. At seven, received message is been delayed up too two hours. Next morning, crickets, no explanation, no update zip. Charged with another liar, cancelled the order.
Tried with a new order expected late afternoon. Messaged another delay. Called every single department at the store, not one of them picked up, rang hundred times, nothing.
Chatted, here comes the lies. "I'm on chat with the store and the driver is there, promise you it's on the way, thirty minutes". I mean knew she was lying of course. It's eleven in the morning the next day. Groceries aren't here. I have hundreds of dollars tied up as pending charges from previous order and this one, plus tips and delivery for both. They tend ten days to drop the pending charges. I'm out of food and money, and patience.
They also will change days they charge you, example, ordered and asked for refund on the 23rd, shows up pending on 24th, then the 25th and then 26th. So it takes longer then most to release the funds. Csr said to call the bank, why should I spend all day on the phone calling the bank for their problems? Only seen that work once because my bank was small and knew me.
Oh there's the one time driver dropped items on my driveway and left them there. Also it's on not because my tip was small, I tip very well.
Lastly, what's with the random charge every month? Sure its pending but still my money and can't access it nobody gave them permission to randomly charge from my account but every single month same thing. Only several bucks but still. It's not items I ordered or some delivery charge or whatever, did the math, and nobody can tell me why it's there.
They'll do good when you first sign up, after that it's a nightmare. Pay the extra for another service, no car take an Uber or something. But omg don't use this service. Any reviews saying they are wonderful are either paid or only used the service a couple of times. Promise you that.
I use Sezzle to break my grocery bill down into 4 smaller parts with 1/4 due at the time of purchase. I tried Walmart+ and have placed two orders and BOTH have been done correctly. The first order, placed Jan 21,23, while the payment was processing they can back AFTER the money was REMOVED from my account and advised me that my reservation had expired and CANCELLED my order which took me hours to complete. I left a review at Walmart and they contacted me and asked me to give it another chance, which I did. I ordered again on February 2, this time they REFUSED to delivery my order and gave me NO REASON and I called Walmart online support and the store refused to answer their phone so customer support says they can ONLY CANCEL my order YET AGAIN, another order placed for over $300 which took a great deal of my time ONKY TO BE CANCELLED AGAIN WITH NO LEGITIMATE REASON! And again since I paid for it using my Sezzle account my funds for the initial payment have BEEN TAKEN from my account leaving me with both NO GROCERIES YET AGAIN AND HAVING TO WAIT FOR MY ACCOUNT TO GET REFLECT THAT WALMART CANCELLED….
When I called customer service they answer was thst I could always go pick my groceries up! SERIOUSLY THEN WHY WOULD I BE PAYING FOR A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE TO GET MY GROCERIES DELIVERED? The level of ineptitude is mind blowing. I have NEVER BEDN MORE ANGRY at any company before. Walmart your a disgrace! I was home and my porch light was on and I waiting for my delivery and NO ONE ATTEMPTED IT! I have lived at my address here in a residential neighborhood for 4 years and have ordered from MANY places both local and online and NEVER ONCE had a driver who could not locate my home as it's clearly marked and visible. MY ORDER WAS MARKED TO BE LEFT ON MY FRONT PORCH FOR CONTACTLESS DELIVERY AS WELL, so there should not have been and FAILED ATTEMPTS. When WALMART BLATANTLY LIES TO ITS CUSTOMERS ITS TIME TO GO!
Walmart customer service does nothing but use ridiculous calm phrases with absolutely no meaning whatsoever. They simply DO NOT care. Worse experience ever.
None, order was cancelled.
My local Walmart has never fully fulfilled my order completely, every delivery is maybe 50-80% of my orders. They're always "out of stock" even though I've gone immediately to the same store I order from and they were in fact not out of stock like they said. My last two orders haven't showed up. Walmart canceled the first one without telling me and tried to say I canceled it when I didn't. I was after instead told it was just delayed. Here I am days later with no delivery. For the second no show delivery, I had the Doordash driver text me with their personal number to tell me she will not be delivering my order because Walmart couldn't fulfill half of my order and it's 100% not her fault who wants to take a 20 minute drive for an order that couldn't even be half filled for no tip? Called my local Walmart 7 times and no answer, 3 different Walmart costumer service people I spoke with called I'm not joking like 10 times collectively, then out of the blue the Walmart manager calls my phone demanding to know where I am. Long story short he thought my number was the Uber drivers. It's not the Third party delivery peoples fault it's Walmart! Making you pay a subscription and tip, except scratch that ebt and even some other orders you can't electronically tip, I don't ever carry cash so I can't just tip them when they get here for more than just not having the cash on me. Walmart needs to hire an in house delivery and pay their employees a living wage since they don't want to allow tipping to DoorDash. And it's not like I could even tip since I pay with ebt! So because I pay with ebt I can't tip at all? Walmarts product management can't keep the correct number of available items online so almost half the stuff that says isn't in stock is Walmart just doesn't want to go get certain items. I know this because I have orders multiple brands of water multiple times and they always say out of stock, I proceeded to check for myself 30 minutes later and low and behold they were in stock of the exact items they said they didn't have. I have picture receipts for all of this and Several complaints have been filed against my local Walmart #6370 -1/10. Would be my review and I only wish all DoorDashers a very big best wishes and congratulations on axing partnership with the very incompetent Walmart+ delivery. I have auto immune problem and heavily rely upon delivery services with no contact seeing as how my county is 14th worst out of 95 for covid atm where I live. I always tip electronically for delivery at least 10-15%. My question to Walmart is what good is a delivery service that only delivers half your order every time? I just want to know how a 340 billion dollar business has messed up so immensely?
Buyer beware.
The only ones I received.
I had been an online grocery delivery order customer for almost 2 years this year and there were many times when I had ordered a large order and some items I payed for were missing, one time they delivered 2 big boxes of cereal boxes I didn't even order while other items were missing!
I complained to Walmart.com customer service many times and I was always given a refund, I even asked them to pass my complaint to their corporate office and had the reference number emailed to me. Now things got much worse, two weeks ago I had scheduled for a delivery of a large grocery order for 6-7pm, and my instructions were always on the site for them to call me 5 minutes before they arrive so I can go down and put a bag between the outside building because the intercoms are always broken, I don't want any contact because of Covid-19, so I then need them to come up and bring my items inside and place them on my tables and or couch because I have a very bad painful back condition and I really can't life heavy bags and bend over and I'm on the third last floor of my apartment complex and I always give them a 20$ tip for large orders like these and in the past I was really lucky to have very kind good delivery people from Walmart who did bring all of my large amount of groceries and even place them inside on my tables and couch.
After the second recent time that they never called and didn't deliver my order, a young woman from Walmart called me 2 days later after I had complained to customer service, and she asked me if I still wanted them to deliver my order and told me they are short staffed at this store, I told her that I had already canceled the order. Well they never called me and I waited and waited and they never delivered my order, so I re-scheduled for 2 days later and they did the same thing again!
It only said on their web site that my order was delayed, after they did this the second time I called up customer service and said to cancel my order and give me a refund which they did. Two days before, the first time this happened a guy only delivered the cereal box I ordered and a few non perishable items were shipped for both orders. Last night was the last straw, I gave them one last chance and placed a very large grocery order and a few non grocery items to be delivered between 6-7 pm, they never called me again and didn't deliver my order and around 11 am the next day my next door neighbor rang my bell and told me that a lot of grocery bags were left outside and there were a lot of items that needed to be frozen and refrigerated so they were ruined, I don't even know how long they were left outside and it was 70 degrees this day! My neighbor was very nice enough to bring the non perishable items up to me and throw out all of the perishable items.
I called customer service and the agent gave me a refund but she also said that's really weird because on her end it doesn't even say it was delivered it says it was being prepared and had been delayed, and on my end the site and an email from them the day before said just delayed, no other information was provided.
A couple of months before these incidents a very nice helpful delivery guy told me when I told him that some items I ordered were missing again, that it's Walmart you can't expect that much, and he said they have poor customer service, and he also told me that he was left waiting in their parking lot once for two hours before he was able to get the customer's groceries and deliver them!
I looked up reviews for this store location and sure enough a guy Stu had the same thing happen to him, they never called him or delivered his online order three times and he said he didn't even get a phone call or follow up email and he said avoid it at all costs unless you feel like wasting hours on the phone getting transferred multiple times to get a refund and he put 3! He also said before this part, in the beginning of his review that he can't comment on this store as far as in store purchases but he can on their delivery service for Walmart and customers = Horrendous!

Update 2/15: My recent order was much worse than it's ever been, if that's at all possible. It was late, and I received defrosted frozen foods, what I got of them anyway as the driver didn't deliver four items, and I got moldy cheese that I didn't see until after I had eaten a few pieces, pre-opened milk, and another item that made me sick after I ate some of it. A couple of cans look a bit odd, and I am about to throw the whole order out for my own safety. Despite repeated issues not only with this order but almost every order in my history of business here, no one has once offered to fix the mistake by redelivering missed items, nor has anyone offered to give me at least one free delivery due to not having enough food and being tired of footing the delivery bill multiple times for someone else's mistake. This company has screwed up for the last time with me. I'm taking my business elsewhere, and I suggest you do too. It's a horrible company to begin with, and I have nightmare stories for days about me and my mother both being employees there. I really hope someone starts a lawsuit. Or another, rather, as they're constantly being sued.
I'm not the type of person to complain about a service or write a bad review, but I had to say something here. I have been ordering groceries due to the pandemic, and I lost count of the times I recieved damaged packages or out of date food. I am poor and on a fixed income while trying to stay safe and end up going without necessities because I cannot afford to pay upwards around $20 for delivery multiple times, which includes the tip. It also sucks to get charged for out of date or damaged food packages, and they changed returns back to being in store only. For a while they allowed returns online, which was great for me as I'm disabled.
I have thrown so much money and food away with this service that has put me in a rough situation after ordering. There was even a time when they just simply did not deliver my order despite me having scheduled it a few days in advance. I contacted support an hour after rhe time, and they said they were unable to fill it. Because there aren't a lot of delivery reservation spots, I had to wait another few days to hope they deliver my groceries. They did not offer any kind of discount or coupon due to their mistake, it was just: "meh, maybe try next time."
The prices have also skyrocketed on some items. (Sliced lunchmeat roast beef went up $4?) And their shelves are always nearly empty of some popular items that I never seem to be able to get. It's been a struggle to get my cats enough food every month because they just never stock it. Are they creating scarcity or are people just not ordering enough stuff?
Overall, some of these issues may be related to my local store, but they are the only option for me where delivery is concerned. They need to have better quality control, put the site design back where it was instead of this confusing, slow mess, and hire more people for delivery services (or more people in general. I am a former employee and they run you into the ground. They are part of the reason I can no longer work).
Do better, Walmart.
You'll lose money here if you order grocery delivery since their delivery price is a bit nuts. And you're likely to get damaged packages or missing items, or expired stuff. Go to Instacart. Get pickup from Meijer's or Aldi's. Anywhere else but here.
Groceries, food items.
I've had a membership, paying on a monthly recurrence. And 3 days before my next renewal, I had to pay again to make my next order purchase. I had payed from a card not usually conected with my account. And a week later, after 3 more attempts from Walmart to try to charge my other card that is conected, they then cancelled my membership saying I needed to pay another 12.95 to reactivate my membership. After calling and trying to settle this misunderstanding. They say that they can not find where I had paid for my membership. I have all the proof I need from my bank statement that shows date and time of the purchase. First of all they want to discontinue my membership 3 days before my membership fee is even due and deactivated it a week after I paid from a different card. So if My membership fee was made on September 28th and when I placed an order on October 13 th. I had to pay another membership fee on that day, in order to have my free delivery for the following day. Then on the 20th my membership was completely cancelled. When according to my membership I should have had till the 26th of October still under my September payment. So on the 13th I pay 12.95 and they say I didnt. Then Cancelled on the 26th and now want another 12.95 for the next 30 days. More like 1-2 weeks is what I've been getting charged and always 3-4 days before my 30 days membership is over. Walmart system is royally messed up. I haven't been able to get my full refunds after they make a mistake and overcharge. Always have to call 3-4 time to get anything if anything at all resolved. Very disappointed. I use the delivery option all the time because of limited transportation and social distancing. And right now if there were a better option or better place that offers the same thing. I would most definitely change where I do my grocery purchases.
No refunds for double charging for membership in 30 day cycle
