Grammarly underlined every sentence I wrote, offering so many unhelpful suggestions that I had to turn it off. My job requires me to proofread, and I had hoped that Grammarly might speed up that process, but it actually hindered it. Would not recommend.
I had a pleasant experience while using grammarly, frankly at times I got a little too much of assistance and prompts which I didnt expect. Overall it was quite productive to use the software.
I like the way Grammerly corrects my spelling or suggests better sentences. Sometimes, however, I wish it would remember how I write and stop correcting me. I have to write a certain way for my field. I enjoy that it tells me when I write plainly (T-shirt) or formally (Blouse with necklace.).

This extension is overall pretty decent.
Pros: helps grammar mistakes, how to make your text sound a bit better
Cons: have to pay money for what the ads show, again, have to pay money to get a pretty good experience.
Would give a 5 star if they added more features for free users.
Was a bit disappointed when I first downloaded it, thinking it was going to be what the ad showed. Would also recommend that the company mentions what features different categories have.
Update: Giving this company a lower review due to the awful customer service.

For the reading and grammar portion, it's alright if you really like haveing red and blue and yellow lines under everything. Constant nagging to buy their premium and better versions! It also kept getting all my math questions wrong. I honestly think it overrated...
Having an old version of windows and having to draft a document I tried Grammarly with great difficulty either from inexperience or required paid upgrades

It has been a bad experience when your software keeps correcting polite language. Actually, I find Grammarly counter-productive. Are there any options for Canadian English vs American English?

I have been in school again, after years, since last year. Going back to school had been a true ete opener. Grammarly has truly helped teach this old dog new tricks!

Grammarly is very useful for school projects- like essays! But overall I'm getting Grammarly recommendations for emails and general stuff when I don't need it. But overall it's very good and recommend 3/5!
