Did not want a "puppy". Looking for older pup. Found 6 mo old and she is perfect. Breeder was wonderful texting and face timing back and forth. Kept in touch daily. Met us at a dog park. Answered questions- continues to answer questions.
I felt so much better knowing that the breeders I was looking at were screened by Good Dog and were trust worthy. I got a response back from a breeder within 10 minutes and had a visit scheduled to see a puppy that weekend. After seeing the puppy I fell in love and we were able to pick him up a week later! It was the easiest process and paying through the app made me feel better that everything was secure.
I reached out to Jared of Blue Ridge Shadow Huskies about a puppy from one of his litters. That one had found a home but his lhalf brother Astro was available. Jared answered my questions promptly and patiently. Astro exceeded our expectations. He's very friendly, loving, and intelligent. Some of the skills he already does well with are stairs, car rides, potty training, and grooming. We're working on loose leash walking which he doesn't seem to mind. Our first week has been great and we are looking forward to years of happiness.
I had an amazing experience with Tatum through this app and in person. Originally "Dove", Darla became available suddenly after someone had dropped out of adopting her. I couldn't be more grateful for the fact that this puppy just practically fell into my life from that point forward. Such a communicative, smart, good girl (who gets all the love), i'm just overall so happy to have her in my life. It's been a dream for about four years now which is finally coming true. Each day I fall more and more in love! Tatum was amazing with sending updates, communicated well, even through any struggles or such in transportation and vet visits she was always very upfront. Couldn't be happier with how things ended up in the end, and I'm so happy to finally have her with me!
Anna was so great to work with! She reached out right away. Her videos were so fabulous! The process was so easy. I flew to Kansas City Mo international airport. Picked up my puppies right in baggage claim. She went with me to check in for my departure flight. Made sure I had everything I needed to get my puppies on board. Prior to my flight, she provided with the information on taking two puppies on my flight. My Particular airline…very informative I was very well taken care of during the process.

I was looking for an English Bulldog, which can be a challenge. Good Dog vetted breeders so I didn't have to worry about a potential scam. They also followed up during the process and provided useful articles for bringing home a puppy. Overall, great experience.
I met chatted via the good dog app Jane was very nice and She reported everything about the god I wanted I gotta see the puppy on the call the good dog I found to be very legitimate I did my research prior. It all worked out. I'll be bringing home my best forever friend home in December I'm so excited! Can't wait!

I contacted a couple of breeders on GoodDog.com and one of them was KZAAM Golden Retriever (Patty Byler). Since we have had 7 Golden Retrievers before I am trained in how to select a puppy. You always look at the parents to see how they are. You would be surprised at what you will find out there with breeders that are not very good. So, I always ask the Breeder to provide pictures of the male and female parents. I require a picture of the dogs in the standing position with one pic of the side view and one of the front. Looking at both parents like this will give you a good idea on what the pup will look like when they are an adult. There is nothing like seeing both parents for yourselves. This way you can see the disposition of the dame/sire. If this is not possible, go with the pictures. This method of selecting a
pup has always given us great Golden Retrievers that look like the Goldens they use on TV. When I insisted Patty to provide these pictures she finally said that she was not good with letting us have one of her pups. My response to her was, without the pics we would not purchase a pup from her. Just thought anyone looking for a purebred dog should know this before looking for a purebred pup.
Caught a puppy mill red handed with sick dogs, showed them the evidence. They just kept making excuses, even after multiple people reported them. What a scam, just another puppy broker trying to make money. Research the breed you want and ask questions to find a reputable breeder yourself. This website is a joke. Do better.

At first this site helped us breeders, but lately Good Dog hasn't been helping. I know the market is stalling after the pandemic. But making it so the buyers can only pay through good dog when they don't want to is hurting us. I'm thinking of pulling my account.

We completely understand that you might have a different way of doing things with non-Good Dog applicants, and that’s ok - this policy only applies to applicants who apply to your program through Good Dog!

When Good Dog applicants submit their application to a Good Breeder, they agree to abide by our Policy before submitting their application. I had great success placing puppies in great homes though Good Dog during the pandemic. Partially continued success in 2022. It will be interesting to see what 2023 brings. The only really good prospect I have so far for my, hopefully, on the way litter who is a Good Dog applicant has been waiting for a puppy since 2021.
My ad was taken off GoodDog because their 'compliance team' deemed that I bred my female Morkie too early. Based on the AKC breeding age guidelines of not earlier than 8 months old, my female was 9 months old when bred. Although I do wait until the second heat, this little one escaped one day. Two buyers had placed deposits and others were considering buying a puppy. If this is a GoodDog policy, and it must be, it needs to be stated in their guidelines. I would hate for someone else to be placed in the awkward position in which I was placed.

As previously shared with you via email, one area that our advisors and screening committee considers is a dog’s onset of breeding age in order to optimally maintain their health and welfare. Based on recommendations from canine reproductive veterinary specialists, our screening committee typically likes to see that Morkies and Yorkshire Terriers are allowed to mature to 12-18 months before being bred.

A puppy we bought through your site was in sorry shape. He was evidently kept in a dirty environment, per our vets opinion. He had eye and ear infections, tape worms, gastrointestinal infection and GRD. He's only 12 weeks old. The picture advertised wasn't the same dog we received. He has turned out to be our rescue puppy, which we still love and adore. I'm going to describe this experience on various social media forums so people know what type of breeders are on your site. You need to do more thorough research on your breeders before allowing them to sell and take money on your platform. You have a great idea but you fail on execution.
I have them a 2 rating instead of 1 only because we love the puppy.

I am not sure how i feel about the way it is set up. I feel when you search for pups it is hard to see who parents are. The information on the parents. As a breeder wish we could search for people in messages.

When a buyer is viewing a puppy from an available litter, they are immediately able to see the parent dogs for that puppy. Additionally, every breeder’s page has a specific section marked “Moms & Dads,” where buyers can find information about a program’s sires and dams.
We also have a filter on the Waitlist tab that allows breeders to view their active waitlist members by the litter they're assigned to. There's also an option to see buyers that aren't assigned to any litter, in case that is helpful as you search for specific applicants

This site is very good in finding good breeders and wellbred dogs, but why I had to take off 2 points is because they allow out of standard colors which is not good because they aren't healthy and not purebreds. Otherwise it's a good site!

Hello my name is Angie I was working with Jessica at Bartelt Breeders in Arkansas for quite awhile. She was very nice and answered all my questions. She was aware I was only interested in 1 dog named Shine. We had already discussed her being brought to me on July 5,2024 because she had another dog to drop off in Richmond VA on July 4,2024. On June 10,2024 we agreed we would FaceTime with Shine on the 11th. The next evening and she would give me the vet records and then I would make my deposit. When I called she did not answer and sent me a text saying someone put a deposit on Shine 15 minutes before our call and she has to honor that! Then she back tracked in saying she got the deposit on June 8,2024, which is the same day she asked me to fill out the application. Needless to say I was and still am shocked by the turn of events.Shine was always listed as available until she texted me that night. I'm very disappointed. I don't know if this is unethical or fraudulent but at the very least inconsiderate and unprofessional.
I have sent documentation to Tim Griffin, Attorney General Of Arkansas, Consumer Protection, Good Dog, Continental Kennel Club and BBB serving Arkansas. I feel the public should be aware of this. Obviously it was a lot of wasted time only to be left upset and disappointed.

I wanted a Shih Tzu puppy that was within 3 hours of my home and was bred from a good breeder. I found the good dog app… where they vet all their breeders. I was able to type in what I wanted! It was simple and easy. The breeders sent pictures and explanations on the dogs as well as themselves. After reviewing those breeders, the distance from my home and explanations about the dogs I picked my dog. I then applied to get him and now I have my pretty cute puppy at home. The transaction was great. The communication from the breeder was good, she included pictures and video! I will highly recommend this app to all my friends and family when wanting a new dog!
