Lost $8K USD trying to source Energy Drink products on this website to resell back through Amazon
September 29, 2023

Being a completely newbie to the world of Amazon wholesale FBA, I have been hunting for profitable products to buy in bulk and resell. So I narrowed down to selling energy drinks and thru my research of suppliers I cam across several ones listed on globalresources.com (at great price) so I sent out a lot of inquiries. Got back several responses and decided to work with this supplier named TFC Trading LTD and went thru their elaborate scamming process like a guinea pig... Lost $8K in this stupid process...

They started out responding pretty fast to me and answering all of my logistical questions really well about to buy products in their country (Turkey) and ship back to US. They showed business license like a VAT ID # which I did check with the European Union Commission website and their business name of TFC Trading LTD popped up. That made me believe that they are legit supplier.

The term was to pay them 50% first for payment of the 10 pallets of Monster energy drink (which costs total $2.3K USD with them). So I paid and gave them SKU labels, box labels from my Amazon seller account. Then they had their "shipping company" contacted me to provide tracking number/waybill for my product. I went onto the shipping company website called Fastloadcargo.com and punch in the tracking number to double check and my shipment data popped up. At this point, I pretty much believe everything was real so I proceeded with sending them the other half of the $2.3K product cost.

Feeling good and excited that I am about to sell my first product on Amazon soon. I woke up the next day to their email urgently informing me that my package has been stuck at custom due to missing paperwork and insurance, etc. They required $5.5K insurance money to be wired over (98% refundable) to help get my package to clear Turkish custom... I panic and actually wired the money over like a dumbass (as I was desperate to see my Amazon FBA journey take off). Next day, they messaged me again and asked for another $7.8K as additional paperwork is needed to clear custom still... At this point, I was certain I am getting scammed and reported to my bank fraud specialist team and get help with retrieving the money but probably hopeless to be honest.

I tried to contact another supplier on globalsources.com to see if it was just really my bad luck or there are actually lots of scammers on that site and indeed, another Chinese supplier that I found responded to me and asked for my email. Then some completely other company contacted me via email with company name not matching the name of the Chinese supplier that I found. This Chinese supplier is supposedly a "Verified" seller on globalsources.com for 2 years... How could this be possible that the site is giving "Verified" badge to scammer?

Unbelievable. Bunch of scammers on there so DO NOT use this site at all and somebody need to shut globalsources.com down as they are assisting scammers to create more victims like myself everyday...

No. Said enough

Unethical and Dodgy Suppliers
January 10, 2020

We used Youguan Leather Product Co. Ltd and delat with Fiona from the company. They ruined our order and held it, and our OWN materials that we sent to them hostage until we paid for unfinished goods that we couldn't use. This was not even theirs to keep! We sent it to them to make our products with!
https://www.globalsources.com/si/AS/Youguan-Leather/*******788/Homepage.htm

OTHER THINGS YOUGUAN LEATHER DID
- They made our items wrong and we had to throw hundreds away as they were so badly made it i8s beyond comprehension how they even thought it was ok.
- They could not follow our samples, and could not even make the items in the correct colors! We SENT them the fabrics! They were employed to simply cut the fabrics and sew them together to make the product, And they couldn't even do this.
- Colors were wrong
- QTY's were wrong
- even though they made LESS than we ordered, and they were incorrectly made, and they used the wrong colors for the wrong products, they STILL charged us for the complete order. And get this, they charged EXTRA for the 'hassle'. And we were BLACKMAILED into paying because they held OUR materials HOSTAGE that WE paid for and had sent to them to make our items!
- we had our agent visit them to talk sense into them, but our agent said they were horrible people and very narcissistic and it was no use.

DO NOT USE YOUGUAN LEATHER! THEY ARE EVIL. SIMPLY EVIL.

PS: we have been working with many Chinese suppliers for over 20 years now. We've seen some shockers but we normally know how to pick them. NEVER have we seen anything at this level of deceptiveness. Youguan Leather are so good at lying and cheating, especially Fiona and the company owner, BINYOU WU, and production manager, SHUXIANG GUI (aka Grace?). (Fiona's real name might be Yanying Liao).

Tip for consumers:

Global Sources do not help with issues with suppliers at all. Forget it. The suppliers pay to be featured so you are nothing to Global Sources or the supplier.

Products used:

NONE!!! Youhuan Leather are useless and evil.

Global Sources / Next day Mobile scammed us for £1500
January 25, 2018

NOTE: http://www.nextdaymobilesltd.com/ is nothing to do with the real Next Day Mobiles Ltd of Neath, trading out of Aberdare, South Wales. http://www.nextdaymobilesltd.com/ is COPYING the real Next Day Mobiles and pretending to be them. The real Next Day Mobiles website is http://nextdaymobiles.com/

We went on Alibaba looking for 5 x Sapphire Radeon RX Vega64 8G HMB2 Graphics Card. A supplier purporting to be 'Next Day Mobile' and part of Global Sources responded (using Global Services logo). We were quoted £1500 to be paid by bank transfer to Account Name: Next Day Mobile Sort code: 23-00-82 Account No: *******. We were given a false tracking number the next day and a false phone number. On querying the false phone number (it was 'unassigned' so not a real number) we were told the product had NOT been shipped, because their minimum order number was 10 not 5. We asked why they had invoiced us for and agreed to supply 5 units and got back a load of nonsense about being 'in a meeting', 'needing to speak to a colleague', promises to refund us, not to worry, etc etc. But they said if wanted the delivery to go ahead we had to pay for another five. We demanded our money back. After some research, we discovered there were two Next Day Mobiles, the original, which is a genuine Ltd Company registered at Company's House, and a scammer using the same name Next Day Mobile Ltd and and writing to us in the name of the Director of the original Next Day Mobile quoting his address etc. The false website is www.nextdaymobilesltd.com We have reported the false 'Next Day Mobile' to the UK police, but I think it improbable our bank can recover our £1500, which they can only attempt to do after 14 days non-delivery of goods. This is all a scam, stay well away. I do not know how the counterfeit version of Next Day Mobile is still trading as the original had reported this to Trading Standards weeks ago. GoDaddy have not taken the site down and the hosting company has not either saying it needs a court order! Doubt police will do anything but this is a criminal organisation and a scam outfit. Alibaba obviously do not check people on their site at all. We had even pre-sold 2 of the items purchased, via Ebay, so now have to refund our customers while we try to find another supplier.
