Bought a phasm cam less than a year ago and it stopped turning on out of nowhere. They claim there's significant damage to the inside from being dropped. I've never dropped that camera and the only visible damage is paint chipping bc of its crap quality.
I was an avid shopper with them at one time. I bought a POV gear that came with an IR light, what I thought was a GoPro cam and all the mounts and such for it. I spent close to 300 dollars for it because it was modified to be full spectrum. Well, the IR light was hard to change the battery and had to use a screwdriver to get it out, it quit working after a while. They wouldn't replace it. I find out the cam I got was a very cheap version of a GoPro that the battery quit working for long periods of time and I didn't find this out until I sold it to a friend but I sold it to her with a backup IR light and assuming it was an actual GoPro. When I saw the picture when I originally purchased it looked very different than the one I got but he said this one was way better when I found out through my friend it was way cheaper than the original one. So I paid around 300 dollars for a 100 dollar camera that you could buy at Walmart and the ir light was junk. Buyer beware.
I was a good customer with ghoststop. I bought a phasma camera and lights a few years ago. From the get go, there was trouble with charging. The charging cords didn't work. I was told that there was an issue with this as others had the same problem. They were great and sent new cords, which were hit and miss. Fast forward to now and they wont charge at all. I reached out to them, asking that they fix this glitch and I wasn't expecting them to replace anything. No responses.
So, buyer beware. I wasted good money. Never again
I am posting this review here because GhostStop only posts 5 star reviews.
I purchased there full spectrum light a few months ago and wanted to give some constructive criticism.
This light is constructed from all plastic, from the housing to the mount.
The 9V bracket is very tight, at the same time the mounting bracket for the light is light plastic, if you try to change the battery when it is mounted to your camera, you will break the mount. You will have to remove the light from your camera mount, change the battery, then remount the light.
They claim that a single battery will last over 6 hours. This is totally faults. I have to change my battery every 45 min to 1 hour. A fully charged battery will give you about 60 feet, which is what they claim. However at about half charge you are down to about 10 feet, about 45 minutes into a new battery use.
Lastly, there is no diffusion on the LEDs. Meaning anything closer then about 15 feet will be over exposed. Anything from about 16 to 30ft is fine if you don't mine a quarter of your camera shot being totally black. Anything beyond 30ft and all your going to see is a small circle, about an eight of your shot.
PayPal didn't work and at some point it said I had reached my max daily orders even though I hadn't even gotten to order anything.
Usually I'd be fine with that, but I was trying to buy something that was only on sale for today, and I won't get to buy it at the price I was thinking I would be able to because I somehow reached my maxed orders?
Totally know their gear! Got the answered I needed and fast shipping.
Total Scammers! Took my $200.00 almost 3 months ago and will not return my phone calls or emails. Total scam If you like keeping your money

Wow! The thing I have always loved about this field is the people. Shawn Porter, the owner/operator of ghoststop.com, is an honest and genuine business man.

We have personally been to GhostStop.com's business here in Orlando, and purchased gear from him first hand. The owner has a passion for ghost hunting, tech and gadgets to be used in the field, and it's that passion that conveys into his work ethic. We proudly buy the majority of our gear from GhostStop.com, always have, and always will. We even proudly display their logo on our paranormal ghost team web site from day one.
I bought ghost hunting equipment from ghoststop on a Thursday. They had a two day shipping option for an extra 37.00 dollars. We needed it fast so we paid the extra money. Once they receive the order they approved the two day shipping knowing full well we would not receive it for five days because UPS does not ship on the weekends. Instead of informing us or even stopping us from paying the extra money they just sent the order through. When I emailed my concerns I was scolded because it was his day off. In my opinion it goes to show that they did not care I was spending extra money. They had no regard for me or the extra money I paid. Needless to say I will never use them again. There are way better vendors out there.
Answer: Mine didn't. Purchased a cannon still camera at walmart that picked up orbs. But the video camera from ghoststop didn't
Answer: I'm looking for an EMF tester or meter to measure and test some things in and around my home for milligauss readings regarding the harmful electromagnetic field. A coupon is mentioned. Thinking of ordering an item but wondering, where or how might I obtain a coupon code? Thanks!
