This is a real great working and easy to use software. I use it from a long time ago, and I could do everything what I want, like to convert a video/audio file to any other format, or size, while in the meantime I can change the aspect ratio, the bitrate and almost everything. The editor is an easy to use one, so you don't need any special skill to cut out the don't wanted parts. Also, I suggest to take a look for the additional options, as with these you can even add subtitles to your videos, and so on. I recommend to try this solution!
Take care, obviously a scam. You pay for a test period for 1 €, but I had no way to end the test phase and have not yet received an activation key. It is also customary to inform the user about this. It was also not clear to me that it was a subscription or was not clearly communicated. Of course no reaction by their support.
Worked great on first project if mine, but didnt perform at all on second project. Also was not impressed with their sneaky tactics. When you use the trial version, you are actually obligated to pay 9.99 for 3 months. Use NERO, I do now.
Freemake software has the most updates of any software I have to the point that it nags.
I purchased the Video Converter. The license is limited to a single machine. On my 1st purchase a decided not to buy then a discount incentive offered for a limited time an I purchased. Decided to buy for a 2nd PC, said no and same discount was offered but decided to not buy. Then a 3rd discount was offered even cheaper which soured me on my 1st purchase as I feel I overpaid for the 1st discount, So if you think about buying, say no until the 2nd discount offer for the best price.
The video convertor is fast, All the other Freemake software is ok but all nag you for new updates. Not sure why the developer is pushing so many through.
I tried this software out on what I thought was a free trial, decided within an hour it wasn't what I needed and removed it from my pc. Quite a surprise weeks later, after I returned from a trip where I hadn't had much access to the internet, to find that my credit card had been charged seven times@ $4.95 a week. Evidently I'd agreed to this, though I didn't know I had -- but that's my bad.
I'm giving three stars because it seems, from the brief experience I had with it, to be a good product and because to the company's credit they immediately agreed to cancel my "subscription," accompanying this with a defensive explanation that shows they've been getting a lot of complaints about their practice.
Freemake could certainly do more to explain how it works so people know just what they're getting, for how much, and for how long.
