When doing a DIY project, I research several sources. I've noticed Family Handyman utilizes sources with little experience and that is the last advice I want on my projects. Just ask respected professionals about the quality and techniques used. Sadly, some people trust.
Are you kidding me this site is now totally political. Politics should stay out of things. This is not good if the people writing these articles were good at fixing things it'd be great but instead it's a new culture. Sure miss America
Family Handyman is a pretty good magazine with helpful tips. I have learn some interesting things.
The downside is they continually try to coerce you with "Subject to Expiration" offers about extending your subscription even though you may have over two years left on current subscription.
The only thing that is Subject to Expiration is the offer itself, more than likely not your current subscription.
I receive these type offers monthly, seems like weekly.
If you don't remember or have a way of documenting your subscription length one might wind up paying for a subscription that is way out 20 years in the future.
My impression is they do this intentionally to make one think their subscription is about to expire and have no qualms about selling you multiple subscriptions into the future.
One person commented about the continual attempt to extend subscriptions that aren't close to expiring. If you look above your address info on the mailing envelope there is month/year info listed which is the expiration date per customer service. I called them once to find out how long I had. Magazine is good with reviews on tools, helpful tips and a detailed project or two in each issue.
Constantly bombarded with requests to extend subscriptions.the last one which extended me till 2026 included 2 free gift subscriptions which the people i selected never got and i keep getting a $25 dollar bill noticed for what was advertised for free. Wrote to them several times explaining situation with no answer other than a bill notice. I requested a full refund. I will be discussing my situation with wv attorney general.
I was charged for an automatic renewal of subscriptions that I absolutely did not authorize. I have all paperwork between me and Family Handyman, so I know there were no terms and conditions authorizing automatic renewal. When I disputed the charge with AMEX, it was denied because Family Handyman said I had renewed. I did not. Family Handyman finally promised to credit my AMEX account, but have not been able to get them to do so. Dishonest on both accounts!
Nice tips and instruction to use and learn from
Easy to follow and good picture the video side not so much but recommend the E-mail subscriber part of it. :)
