How would you rate Family Echo?
Great for Puzzlers, not for serious desire to account for lineage

Basically it's little more than a reskinned Excel program. It suffers so many problems.
Can't account for extraneous family such as through adoption, stepchildren, godparents...
Very often cannot scroll from one end of tree to the other.
Can't account for siblings unless heading them under the same parents.
Can't remove "partner" lines without deleting the subject.

There are so many features and customizations! Family Echo has been my go to for years. I love that it is so simple, neat, and versatile. You can add all sorts of information, and it is free too! I really like being able to change format and display options to fit the details I have added.
