Purchased a new Santa Cruz mtn bike earlier this summer. Took it in for 90 day (free) tune up after Christmas. Obviously late. No worries. Dani (sp?) in the shop (Salt Lake) was extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service.
Ordered from their online store during a big sale. Ended up returning several items from a big order. All returned in the same package together and labeled accordingly with extra labels placed on the bags they came in etc. I went above and beyond to make the return process as seamless as possible. When the received my package they said several items were missing. Then they said one item was missing. They refunded me for everything but this one missing item. It's super shady that at first they claimed that several items were missing, then apparently found them, but not all of them, and then didn't refund me or follow up with me when I emailed them trying to figure out what was going on.
I like buying gift cards on line but the system was a little confusing as to which cards were available by email and which ones had to be mailed. A brief explanation at the order point would have eliminated a call to customer service
wondering how long till it ships, was unclear through the buying process, was told 1-3 days, but also told up to 14 days. Would like it in 1-3 for work if possible.

The online experience was great. Limited selection but that is okay due to demand. The in-store experience was okay as it was very busy and you could tell the staff was strained. I have been in at other times and had a much more enjoyable time.
I really liked the way the website is setup where custom filters and drill downs can be applied to refine my searches.
I did NOT appreciate the discrimination on the shipping policy. I feel it is false advertising to say "free shipping on orders over $50" when it doesn't apply to Hawaii. We should at least get a discount.
weird issue with checkout - could see previous order with address, but none shown at checkout, no way to enter until I hit "proceed" and triggered red boxes, then able to put in my address, etc. weird.
you state free delivery for orders over $50 yet i am paying. then you ask for my email to get a 10% discount only to find my product is not eligible...disappointing.

I like your online site. Good variety. You have items that REI doesn't sell. However, my in store experience in Portland left much to be desired. I went to pick up items I ordered online earlier this year. It took about 25 minutes before anyone offered to help, but perhaps they were giving me some time to browse in store items. When I did receive help, I expressed that I wanted to get different bindings because I realized I needed toe caps vs the straps but was told, "You're going to have to pay more." as a final statement. I was not given any additional options even tho I pointed to the bindings that I definitely would have been willing to pay more for. I regret just sticking with the bindings I bought because sure enough, when I used them, the straps pressed on the top of my foot in a way that they hurt.
this site is affordable and easy to navigate. Shipping is a bit slow and costs quite a bit if you need rushed shipping. Returns are not free, which is also an amenity that would be appreciated, as I have had to send a pair of snow pants back because the size chart was SO inaccurate for this specific pair of pants. I also feel that the site could provide more accurate feedback on products (sizing specifically.)
I ordered a ski Helmet and by their sizing guide and my previous helmet I owned I ordered the size I believed to be right. . When it came I found it to be too small so now I need to send it back and while it's being shipped I am gonna have to order a new helmet which will be a lot of money untill reimbursed for the return item.
