Etags, makes renewing your vehicle registration a breeze. Instead of going to the DMV, and waiting in long lines. Etags, you can do online from the comfort of your home, and the price of your registration renewal is bout the same you would pay at the DMV. Etags charges a small convenient fee but it's worth itI got my temporary registration fast just downloaded it after payment was made. Then about a week later in the mail I got my registration and tags.
For $50, the tags should have been hand delivered in a silver platter with caviar. Now I'm doing your work for you by confirming delivery? Didn't Biden pass legislation on scam fees. This is taking advantage of people by forcing an extra charge on them for something people need to do every year. Drop the price by 80% and then I'll give you another star for moving up from scam to hustle. Just because I have to renew my vehicle registration, it shouldn't make me a mark.
The experience was almost traumatic. I did not feel like the identity of the site was connected with Maryland. In the past, I was only responsible to pay for the tags. THis time I was hit with additional fees. I really didn't have a choice but to pay them. My husband had a stroke and is in the hospital. So I just decided to go ahead and get them. The previous renewal process was better and did not involve so many fees.
Why charge a credit card fee? When a debit card is given. I have noticed other vendors DO NOT CHARGE.
Hello,I think I was over charged,I was late on my renewal but there must have been a late fee of About $150. This is a difficult time! I am having Financial problems been laded off from work! This is too much! The Renewal registration it went from $305.to $480.90
Etag was okay to use since I cannot leave my husband with cancer by himself. However, we got a new tag as well as the renewal sticker which was odd to me. Why a new tag? Is that why it was so costly?
Expensive service fee, agency fee and convenience fee.. I may not ever do this online again because of this. I only did it out of necessity this time because I can't make it to the office and can't afford to drive without a registered vehicle. I ended up paying almost $76 in fees that stacked for each vehicle. Not cool.. Not happy..
It's a ripoff to charge me $29 to use this when there's literally no other option at this time. Pretty crappy!!! :(
I do not see anywhere on the renewal notice that there will be extra fees associated with paying online. It did not make me happy to find out that I would have nearly $35 in extra fees attached to my payment!
This is my second year renewing through etags. This time, however has been unpleasant. I bought my tags in October (it's now December) and I have not received them. I had gotten an email saying they were shipped but for whatever dumb reason they got sent back and customer service assured me they would be sent. It's the middle of December and NOTHING. This is outrageous.
Highway robbery you want feedback this is my feedback you're going to charge me 20 extra dollars to use my credit card compared to me going in person and just spending whatever it cost right there that is a ripoff that's highway robbery you must be Democratic because you're robbing me of my hard-earned money
It is a financial crime that the price doubles with all the added fees to use the online method. With Covid19 we can't go in person for half the price. Very wrong.
Payed more than expected! Got hit w added tag fees that I would not have had to pay in person, not happy
The renewal today was going to be $343 with the late fee at DMV. ETags advertises and gets top google search so I clicked not looking and when I got to the end I was like $417 and they had added extra fees. I realized it wasn't the real DMV online site, so I found it, went to pay my renewal was $343 the way it was supposed to be, saving $74
The drop down menu for choosing what you are doing is confusing. I am still not sure I picked the right option .
The fee for this service is outrageous, especially in the wake of COVID-19. I renewed online in the past and did not have to pay $20/13 per tag.
The download eTags caused my computer to freeze I only need the registration form; i have my tags on my car. Paying again when I can't even tell if the year starts with this payment isn't good.
No option of opting out of the $29 eTag surcharge slapped on at the very end - if it's not mention in original price in registration notification, it should not be added to price at the very end of it. $29 is a pretty substantial surcharge to hide until the very last step of the process - a very misleading way of operating a website.
the cost of re regestration for my car is much more than my renewal notice states. The fact it is 2 days late according to my renewal the fee states $213.00 not . $247.90. The price only goes up if you opt to only do a standard renewal as in the past with no explanation!
Gaby was very nice, but I called back 2 time and sent an email and never got an answer. I thought the title transfer included registration.
The e tag use fee is way too high. Because of the virus we are forced to do this renewal online. I won't use it again.
Not sure how the amount went from $62.20 for both vehicles on statements I received in mail to $116.50 by paying online. What a scam.
The fee is ridiculous especially during the coronavirus. A convenience and shipping fee should be waived when in a state of crisis, seeing as there is no way for me to do this in person to avoid this fee.
I am not sure I cancelled a previous motorcycle, and its information on record. I replaced with different vehicle to date.
I am being charged for paying my registration renewal online when the offices are closed due to CORVID 19. I do not feel this is right in any way. I am a single mother of two and am very upset about the extra charges.
Too many extra charges. You don't want us in the office due to COVID, but make it ridiculously expensive with extra charges to do it online.
I was charged $22 when trying to renew my registration. Did not understand this since my renewal was much more. Paid the fee and received a tag good for only the next 2 months! Checked again and found my real renewal fee and paid that as well. What good is a tag for only two months!?
