Ive ordered flowers via eFlorist many times before and over a number of years, and until recently, have been happy enough with the service Ive received. However, that all came to an abrupt end with my recent Mothers Day order. No flowers arrived and no delivery was made. Despite the repeated emailed contacts I made with Customer Services I got no responseno reply at alland no acknowledgement that anything had gone wrong. (Trying to get through on the phone was a complete waste of time).
Something certainly appears to have gone wrong with this company recently (in point-of-fact a subsidiary of Euroflorist); the service is not what it once was, and the Customer Services department is a travesty of the name. It is as ifhaving become a much larger company now based elsewhere in EuropeeFlorist feels that its customers no longer matter as much. When you read the many negative reviews online, you get the impression of a company succumbing to cynicism and a lack of customer care. Like other disappointed customers, I would urge anyone wanting to send some colour, light, pleasure and happiness to loved ones to use a different company. There are enough to choose from, so dont waste your time and money on this one; it cant always be relied upon.
Although I have now received a full refund on my credit card, Ive still not received any replies to my emailsno explanation, no apology, and no expression of regret. I could really have done without the aggravation and time wasted writing successive emails, attempting to get through on the phone, and writing this review (!) (Ive honestly got better things to do.). Remember: eFlorist is not a Florist but a relay companyand it seems it cant always be relied upon to do that very well either. To order via eFlorist at present appears to be a gamble; you might get lucky much-or most-of the time, but the uncertainty and the incidence of loss still seems unacceptably high. When it goes wrong, its already too late; all thats left is disappointment.
Im left feeling that Id have been better buying flowers from my local flower-shop or supermarket and delivering them myself. (Admittedly, it would have been an eight-hour drive there & back but it would not really have cost me a great deal moreand I would have got see my Mum (!). I certainly shant be ordering via eFlorist again. Ill follow my own advice, and try one of the other companies who can provide a Flower Delivery Service, and who might also value me as a customer.
Or perhaps a locally-based florist (a real one) closer to the recipient is actually the answer..
It's a shame I have to even give 1 star to be able to write a review, or should I say complaint, as I would much rather be able to give no stars!
My husband ordered flowers to be delivered to me on Valentine's Day.
My delivery arrived and I opened the box up and wasn't happy immediately to see the flowers lying flat in the box with the water from the bag around the bottom of the flowers soaked into the box and the card from my husband soaked, it wasn't really what I'd call a card, pleased he had gave me an actual card aswell as. There was a leaflet inside the box stating that any discoloured petals are normal and to just remove them to reveal a fresh bud underneath, never had to do that in my life they are fresh flowers and should look fresh from the very start. Once I actually took the outer cellophane and tissue paper off is when I realised how terrible they actually were.
The flowers were droopy and the roses were brown round the edges, I put them into water but no amount of water was going to save these.
I had to ask my husband how much he had paid for them! When he said £28 my reply was that I wouldn't have even expected to see them for even £10! I know he wasn't going to buy something that looked so crap but when I seen the picture advertised on eFlorist website and compared it with what was delivered they were worlds apart.
EFlorist were emailed and a basic reply was sent back that somebody would be in touch, nobody was.
I then put my complaint along with pictures on their Facebook page and it was apparent at that point how many other people were complaining too.
After still waiting for a response from eFlorist I sent them a private message on Facebook, all I got was answers skirting round the actual issue and was told to wait 24 hours because the flowers had to be given a chance to bloom, the flowers were not going to bloom and never have bloomed! We were even told at one point that after a good drink of water the flowers should be looking more like the picture that was viewed at the time of ordering, never heard something so ridiculous.
I told them I had waited 24 hours and showed them another picture, that's when it got round to being told it can take 24-48 hours and to contact them in another 24 hours time if I still wasn't happy, I told them that I still wouldn't be happy in another 24 hours and that flowers are supposed to be fresh and look amazing on the day you get them, not days after or battling to complain and spoiling people's days and occasions. My husband was also e mailed back just with the same response I was getting, basically wait, in other words they didn't want to acknowledge the fact there was a problem and definitely don't want to give money back
The following day I went to message them to say I still wasn't happy and show a picture of the horrendous looking flowers and that's when I found out they had blocked me! Went on to their Facebook page and had also been blocked from there because I could see other people were still able to comment.
They delete comments and block people on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
There's so many complaints online about them, I don't know how they are still trading and taking peoples money, there's even a Facebook group dedicated to how bad eFlorist is.
My husband emailed them to say he wants his money back as quick as they took it and he's had no reply. I have put a post on Twitter and I have also sent an email to Trading Standards. I will also write this complaint on every platform online that is available for reviews and complaints.
I am gutted that Valentine's Day had to be, and still is, tarnished with their poor product, misleading advertising and battling to get money back. They are a disgraceful company who don't care about their customers.
I suggest that unless you want to make people cry with your gestures then you should AVOID eFlorist like the plague!
