“I can understand why some people do not like this site,...”

I can understand why some people do not like this site, as some of the material can be very low level stuff. However, if you have a class with kids who are at multiple grade levels, this site allows you to create customised, levelled material very quickly and easily. Being able to vary the reading level is a huge help if you have ESL students. This site helps me supplement my regular program, without me losing hours of prep time. I also do not have a budget in my classroom for any materials, so this is a relatively cheap resource with a lot to access.

This website shows the possibility of acquiring a FREE PASS for those who are not members and only wish to print one single worksheet but after you enter your email it asks for more information and in the end, after collecting and saving your personal information this what you get: "A FREE PASS is not available for the worksheet you are trying to print. This printable is ONLY FOR edHelper SUBSCRIBERS. Want to subscribe? It's easy." In a time where personal information privacy is so important it is distasteful to deceive people this way.

This site and the material that it provides is worthless. There is no way.to access your account information. You are unable to retrieve a receipt for your payment. Don't believe the lie that you have the right to cancel at anytime as will not allow you to do so. I would not recommend it to anyone

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT ORDER!!

Products used:
None. They were not appropriate and difficult to navigate.

1.7 means there are optomists among us. I'm not one of these. I'm a 23 year veteren of math instruction and feel amused that I can still be taken by a con. Frequent log-ons, nonexistant answer keys, poor service for help to use this product. Wow, what a rip-off. Great promises and a lousy product. All those "at home" educators who feel some entity is there to help - only to find it's a rank con. $35 dollars and I'm still relagated to the "Free Pages." And so it goes. Don't waste your time with this turkey. Be sure to investigate all purchases so you won't be taken in by substandard, don't care about customers businesses.

As for me I generally satisfied with Edhelper service. Although they have some problems with customer assistance but still they supply good and useful edu materials and the cost of subscription is quite reasonable.

I am in the middle of a busy day at school and looking for a "FREE" crossword puzzle maker. EdHelper comes up as "Free" and I spend some time making a crossword puzzle and putting together the clues. Then when I go to print it routes me to a payment page that says I need to join to get the puzzle I just spent time creating. SO FRUSTRATING! Even if they have decent content I wouldn't join now based on this bad experience. I would not recommend edHelper.

This is a company one person in the garage that is how it can be charactirized:
It is impossible to get any help from edhelper - everything is online and they just don't respond.
Search for materials is ineffective and not user friendly
The materials don't exist - edhelper's collection is limited and you run out of options quickly
They constantly push daily collections, which are not focused on practicing teh specific skills

I have been a subscriber to edhelper for years. I have the following pluses and minuses: pluses would be that there's no place better to go for a quick warm-up worksheet. There is a plethora of subject concepts and they are on the mark with a lot of historical, science, and civic government information. I also like the way you can generate your own activities using your own vocabulary and definitions. Minuses are that the words you generate often have altered definitions. I have ESOL special education students who need to see things verbatim. When I complained about this, I received notice that my subscription had somehow expired. I agree with the negative comments about customer service. I also do not like some of the activities and information on concepts such as immigration. I believe the edhelper point of view is often subtly included and it is quite bigoted. With revisions, it could be as fabulous as Reading A-Z, but it definitely needs a lot of work.

I read all of the reviews before subscribing to EdHelper, because I was curious as to whether educators found the site useful before I spent any money on it. I'm glad I did! It sounds like a rip off to me. If the company is not going to respond to emails, automatically renews accounts without a clear means to cancel an account, if that's what someone wants to do, and if the materials are low-level, and not of good quality, then there is no reason to spend any money on it.

I used the site last year, and it was ok,, but very low level. I was excited to see that it looked like they added a HS level, but it cost more. I renewed at $39. For the HS level material. What a mistake. I keep getting the message that I need to renew which I did over a month ago. I wrote them twice and sent them proof via their instructions on their website under "contact". They never responded. They either owe me my money back or access to the program, however, I don't think I want their services anymore.

I have wasted my money by subscribing to edhelper, they have worksheets but the do not provide answers, as a parent how would I correct those worksheets. I would suggest not to waste money on this website, there are lot of other websites which are much better.

I agree with most of the negative comments about this site. They owe me half year subscription and there is not way to contact them. What kind of a business does not have any interest in their customer needs. Could someone tell me how to get in touch. Their phone number is*******555 if you want to become more aggravated.

I signed up last week for a one year subscription. The site is not accepting my log in. There is no one to call. I have sent 2 help requests and still no one has contacted me. Basically I just threw $20 down the toilet. They are not getting away with this.

I purchased a 1 year subscription but found the navigation of the site to be terrible. It is such a poorly designed website, with information so poorly arranged all over the place. It is really hard to navigate this site. It's like a high school kid designed this website from the 90's and never bothered updating it. It's like they just keep adding links and links all over the place without any concept of organization. I find the math worksheets do not have enough customization ability. I would not renew again. Waste of money.

I spent $36.98 for a two year subscription. I pretty much just wasted my money. I teach a high school reading class. There is not much available on EdHelper for high school educators. When you try to access high school content, they want you to upgrade your subscription for an extra $20 each year. No way! Edhelper won't sucker me in again!

We have many locations that use this site/program. It is our job to find out why the account was disabled, not activated or send purchase orders for new accounts. The hidden face or lack of one-to-one support is frustrating. We encourage our schools to use a different resource since Edhelper has done nothing to satisfy their customer requests to speak to a person. The hoop jumping to find resolution outweighs the benefit of the tool/site.

In my experience, I found Edhelper to have a completely counter-intuitive set-up, with icons placed haphazardly, glitches that will frustrate you as you try to fill in forms that suddenly seem to be missing sections, limits to what you can print that aren't made obvious until you are stuck for a specific assignment and have to endlessly tell their generator to redo a worksheet that it refuses to format to your specifications. Its editing features are painful and unreliable--I felt I had to save with a prayer that it actually does so correctly. There simply is no excuse for its poor design that seems dated back to the early 90s. I advise everyone to stay away from this site and wish I had known to avoid it earlier.

Verified purchase

This site has had some good stuff in the past that I used frequently since I teach students with exceptional needs. I never had a problem with logging in or getting access until now. I am glad that now there are other programs out there to use. I first used edhelper in the early 2000s when I taught high school. That is over 20 years ago. My only use for it now is writing practice. Now, I just want a refund. I'm tired of paying for substandard service. I can print out writing practice from Education.Com and it has a better digital component. Oh, yeah. They are easier to contact and they follow all the privacy laws for children.

EdHelper is a great site I have used several times for my kids.

Found this site originally from a review on this blog with other educational tools for kids.

I'm Sharon, a mother of 4, and I am here to tell you NOT TO USE EDHELPER!
I printed off some Thanksgiving printables to entertain my children while I was drinking *wink* *wink* with my friends. While they were completing the puzzles, they came up to me and asked me, "Mommy, what is a 'schnack?'" I was appalled! I had never in my LIFE heard that word! When I looked at the paper, I saw some scrambled word that was NOT in the English Dictionary! You cannot make a word with these letrters! S-c-h-n-a-c-k CANNOT MAKE A WORD! After countless attempts and long hours on Google, I realized that EdHelpder had made a mistake! I was willing to look ovder this, and as I was about to print off another page, I saw ANOTHER TYPO! Along side a picture of a hairless man in a bathtobe sneaking food from the fridge, were the letters "reveosltf".? What is that? What does that have to do with Thanksgiving, a holiday given to us by the selfless indians and pilgrims? EdHelper is a JOKE! Never use this website. If you do, your kids will grow up ILLITERATE, POOR, and IGNORANT to the TRUE meaning of Thanksgiving.

IF I COULD, I WOULD GIVE THEM -1 STARS.

Material is mediocre. Big problem: your subscription is automatically renewed and there is NO OPTION on the website to cancel it, nor is there any way to contact their accounts department. No phone number, email address or anything.

They took our money, gave us our accounts, then lost our account so we couldn't log back in to use it. There is no customer support outside of generic web-forms. If it works for you you're lucky.

I emailed through the site that I cannot access 1st Grade Spelling words and I have yet to hear back from anyone. I have paid for a two year subscription and if I cannot access what I need, I am just going to cancel my membership. Maybe someone will get back to me then.

Their costumer service is non-existent, they put you on a loop of questions but do not help with your need. Just keep sending you to the costumer website on and on. I am trying to get hold of their sddress to request a refund.
