What a bunch of crap and waist of money My poor son who has a disability btu has a brain was tricked into this crappy program and then to take the certification test and find things in the test that were not covered in the program. Shame on you my son only wanted something to show he can do it.

I have taken 15 courses through Ed2Go in the past 8 months. I get these courses free with my public library card (you'll have to check if your library card can get you deals too). These courses are divided into 12 lessons over 6 weeks. They are online and can be done within 1-2 hours/lesson. Sometimes I take longer because all the lessons include assignments and it really depends on how far you want to go with those assignments. Sometimes I feel nerdy, sometimes I just want to move on. Totally up to you.

Completed ICD 10 Coding Course online through a local college. Course was well organized, informative and was completed without any problems. Waited 10 weeks and made multiple phone calls, ultimately threatened to take action before I was transferred to Manager of Student Services who immediately intervened and got Completion Certificate mailed out next day.

Ed2go courses
June 27, 2017

I have recently taken 4 Ed2go courses. They all were very well organized and informative. I will be taking additional courses from them in the future. Love the convenience of taking online courses.

I took a bookkeeping course. I already had some background in this field. The course description says students who complete the course will be prepared to take on entry-level work as full-charge bookkeepers. That is not accurate. The information about payroll, in particular, was not comprehensive enough. This course really seemed more geared towards enterpreneurs wanting to manage their own books. If that's what you're looking for, it's probably fine, but it's probably not the best option for someone looking to become a professional bookkeeper. The content about QuickBooks was superficial. Many of the final exam questions were about keyboard shortcuts and basic commands in the software. Fortunately, the unemployment department paid the tuition for me. I would be really pissed if I had spent my own $2,000 on this course. Half of it was a basic software tutorial. I did learn from it, and having a certificate might be useful in finding work in the field, but I think if I had not already done work as a bookkeeper, this course would not be adequate preparation for a job. I think this course is worth about $500. It's not worthless - just not worth what it cost. The instructor never replied to my emails.

No help
July 21, 2020

Ive been studying with ed2go for over a year now for my certificate in business management and HS Diploma. Ive been changed over to four different academic coaches. The first one, I had requested to be changed multuple times because she could not abide by one simple request, dont call me until after noon. I explained again and again, I work night shift, Ive been alseep for 3 hours and youve woken me up until finally one day I lost it on her, her response? None, she stopped talking! About a month and a half later I finally got someone else due to other circumstances. You get stuck and cant get past a test? Good luck! Currently on #5 attempt for a history final and am offered no help! Ive been watching youtube videos and reading about the questions for daaays, they are so specific it seems impossible to actually find the amswer they want.
THE ONLY REASON WHY I HAVE PUSHED THROUGH IS BECAUSE I SPENT SO MUCH MONEY AND THEIR ARE NO REFUNDS!

I'm taking the software development certificate and I wish I'd seen this sooner. It's awful go take an in person boot camp. The instructor clearly wants to make you struggle your whole way through especially once you get to the major assignments which you cannot ask any questions on… I found that these assignments would be the best opportunity for questions to be asked… it seems like they knew they would have to be answering a lot of questions.

I think the instructors could have done a much more affective job of teaching this material. It's like a teacher giving information about a red hoop and they teach you how to jump thorough it. And you feel great, and they say now I want you to run, skip, and jump through 3 blue hoops. And you're like well we didn't talk about blue hoops let alone 3 of them and what's running and skipping? Then they say sorry we can't answer your questions now that your on to the project… Idk this course just really doesn't feel right. It's been hell! I feel like I'm getting it and then these assignments come around that are like remember what I just taught you... great... There's a lot that I didn't explain in these assignments. I just brushed over the concepts that I now want you to teach yourself about... like Dear instructor... I paid you to teach me and have me still like the topic at the end.

So I would recommend finding any other place to take this type of course because the same instructors wrote the other courses that are a similar topic…

HVACR
April 12, 2019

What a joke! I was told I could start my own business as a HVACR technician by taking the online course. Not true. I was told I was going to learn everything I needed to repair heating and cooling units. This class is for those who have their certification and are going for their NATE certification. When speaking to them on the phone and through email, the staff even admits it. I stopped paying for the classes so they blocked my access which fine. A year and a half later, I get turned over for the full amount of the loan. Even the instructor at Wake Tech Community College told me there is no way you can do this with out hands on training. The ed2go has not been helpful at all. Their answer is to "become a familiar face" in the business according to Chris Compton who is the brain child of this online program.

I signed up for an instructor led course to study for the Project Management Professional certification. Unfortunately, the course material was riddled with errors, and the instructor was MIA. For example, the answer to the question of how to show leadership on a project was to "buy everyone t-shirts". That is obviously ridiculous, and the instructor would make up excuses as why the wrong answers were actually correct. Unfortunately I had purchased more than one class, and after the disaster the first class turned out to be, I asked for a refund on the other classes I hadn't taken. They refused.

Ed2Go set me up with First Associates/Vervent Inc for a student loan. This was the same bank that was indicted in the ITT scam. Everyone in that class action suit, got a total refund. Because I went through Ed2Go, I have to fight tooth and nail just to keep this off of my credit. Vervent Inc keeps lying to keep this on my credit report. The loan was disbursed Apr 2013 and it is still on my credit today, by saying the first delinquency was mar 2019. When in reality it was Jun 2013.

DO NOT ENTER ED2GO
April 3, 2019

The material is outdated. The "alleged" counselor that you are assigned never responds to your emails but they are quick to send a review link and request you give a good review. The professor has too many students to recall who you are

Minus 1 star was not an option. It is NOT instructor lead lectures and my course was $2,295. Search ed2go Reviews. It's just outdated articles going back to the 90s along with 3 flimsy books and YOU are to read about 300 hrs of it instead of having a professor giving video lectures and then the books as supplements. I just started and I am pointing out errors to them, not typos. They are links to these articles that are no longer working because the lecture material is so old. There is only a 3 to 5 minute blurb by a 'so called' instructor before they expect you to read excerpts from old articles as their lecture. DO NOT DO IT! - IT'S A RIPOFF!

I took the advanced hospital coding and CCS Prep program.
I didnt get my certificate because i still owed money to the program because I financed it.

After I paid off the program costs plus more because it was in collection, I contacted Education 2 Go for my certificate. I had no response for a long time I was told a generic statement that my program was "incomplete" and was told I need to re apply in the program pay the whole program cost to get a certificate. If this is a school, why cant I get any proof of the coursework that I completed and what was so called incomplete. I log into the website and it says i completed over 82 hours of coursework but they cannot tell me what was incomplete. The counselor then, told me it was many years ago. I havent forgot but the classes should still have some worth. Very Insulting and Suspicious of this so called school.

Unfortunately, I signed up for the Medical Coding course through Coconino Community College. After filling out online information form, I immediately received phone calls from fast-talking tele-marketers calling me, even over the weekend reading from a script, "You better sign up before the deadline." They even offered me a discount on the course. Presently going through this online course, I realize it will not prepare me, or anybody else, for Certification. Not only that, but it took them over two weeks after starting Medical Terminology course to send out textbooks. Sent (8) eight emails (can provide) and received emails back saying they're on backorder blah, blah, blah. They did not even offer a two-week extension for the inconvenience. Feeling duped and deceived, I did some research on Ed2Go, which is owned by Cengage. IMPORTANT: Cengage filed for bankruptcy in 2014, and was bought out by a Global investment group. I am disappointed in Coconino College for selling this course, which is just a shakedown for money that victimizes people hoping to acquire job skills. Like other posters here my refund was denied.

COC program
May 21, 2022

I signed up for the COC program that was offered at at the Community College in my state, it was a waste of money. All you're doing is reading and watching videos, you couldn't get anyone on the phone or respond to emails. I took the exam through AAPC and unfortunately I failed, after speaking with an instructor with AAPC I see how unprepared I was/am. Do not waste your money or your employers money. Beyond pissed

SCAM
June 11, 2020

When I searched a specific school with the desired certificate, ed2go.com always popped up. The sketchy part is when you click on their website the school banner changes on ed2go.com to make you think it is affiliated with that specific school. I even reached out to my university asking if they had a partnership with ed2go.com and they said they do not. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THIS WEBSITE.

Just DON'T
January 16, 2020

Ever since I started this program I feel I opened a Pandora's box. I paid $2.495 for a pharmacy technician program. The program is self taught. If you have any problem or doubt advisors are useless. They know less than you do. Anyways at the end of the program I applied for an externship with Walgreens. After over a month waiting with no answer back I finally received an email, but the stupid coordinator said I wasn't eligible because of a conviction. I was REALLY MAD. I know I have a clear record. I demanded a copy of the record and it shows I have a traffic ticket from 2 years ago for fail to stop. SERIOUSLY! THIS IS NOT A CRIME. CONVICTIONS? I contacted the director of the program and even she agreed that's not reason to exclude me from an externship. This background check was done by the school not the pharmacy.
They said I could just go and find externship on my own. Yes very professional. They took my money and my time. Just so you know pharmacies will not take people who just walk in asking for an externship due to liability issues. I have lost count of how many pharmacies I asked. Unless someone in your family is a pharmacist. Then I would suggest take the training anywhere else but not from Ed2go.
Now I spent money getting licensed and without experience, no one will hire me. They take money from your account within 24 hours after enrollment. Then you are screwed
