I tried a free evaluation of one easeus' products. It didn't work for me. I continue to receive product sales SPAM despite having unsubscribed repeatedly.
Their marketing is aggressive and unprofessional. They are not to be trusted with your data.
I suggest you avoid them like the plague.
After almost a decade of being a loyal customer of EaseUS, I encountered their cold shoulder of customer no service.
I recently purchased their PDF Editor for my MacBook only to discover it was for Windows systems only. Under the "Learn Mire" banner I saw "OS" and concluded it was for Mac OS and Windows. There were also flashing Mac banners on the page too.
The product only works on Windows systems so I requested a refund and EaseUS refused. Even after I explained the situation and told them I'd been a documented customer since 2014, EaseUS Customer Service still refused to issue a full refund. EaseUS always addressed me as "Customer" instead as a real person.
I will never purchase products from EaseUS in the future and advise anyone else to avoid this company due to their lack of customer care and service.
EaseUS has several products/modules dealing with backup and recovery (other types too). In this day of moving often to new computers and OSs they make the job easy and reliable. Without using these type of almost magical utilities, backing, cloning or moving to a new computer is very complex and risky. EaseUS products really are quite remarkable and priced very fairly. Support is excellent with chat windows and technical support email access. I have used and purchased EaseUS Todo Backup and it works wonderfully. I've used it to create entire clone of my hard-drive and moved that image to a new harddrive and popped that the new hard-drive in my computer and it fired right backup. Like any B/U and recovery it does take a large amount of time to complete -- but that's understandable when you are re-imaging an entire hard-drive. It worked perfectly for me. You should be fairly fluent with terms and techniques of backup and cloning, but other than that, it's really a snap.
Essentially, they made me pay for a free product that didn't work, and then denied my refund request, despite their "30-day money-back guarantee."
I tried to use their free recovery wizard to get files I had accidentally deleted from my hard drive. In order to actually view and recover the files, I had to purchase the pro version. Then, the files recovered couldn't even be opened. When I contacted their support, they said it's because I have an SSD on my computer. However, their website clearly states, "Restore deleted files from Recycle Bin, HDD, SSD, USB, SD card, etc."
They denied my request for a refund, saying it was impossible and therefore not their fault. I understand if it's not possible to do it, it was a long shot, but their advertising is super misleading, both surrounding the functionality of the product and the "money-back guarantee." I'm not really a tech person, and their website led me to believe it IS possible.
After installation, this software froze and crashed my computer. This happened no matter what I tried to do. Subsequently due to these failures,I had to do a clean installation of Windows 11.
Reinstalled the ToDo Backup.on this now virgin machine. Same result, freezing, crashing and corruption of the hard drive. Despite my having over forty years of experience with computers, their tech insisted this was not possible. They wante remote access to my pc to "fix the issue" to which I said no chance. Just give me my money back. Their response was no,as I have to allow them to fix it. Again,no one gets remote access to my pc. As a "gesture of goodwill" they offered me a 50% refund. This despite being within 14 days of purchase (UK LAW) and well within their 30 days. What a total scam and rip-off. Now,I know my rights under UK consumer laws and having used a credit card method of payment,my provider can reimburse me but why the hell should they have to? Easeus are scum, liars and thieves. Positive reviews a
It was great, but it would have been better if it had a good interface like backup tools Goodsync and Gs Richcopy360
I am a 35 year old engineer with a masters and PhD degree. I work with computers all day with various software - coding, CAD, and other design software, so I can hold my ground when it comes to "messing with computers." I used EaseUS software to recover data from two SD cards. There is no free option to try and actually recover the data without getting past the paywall, so I paid the ~76 USD to try their software since they advertised a "30 day money back guarantee."
The data recovery software does a mediocre job at recovering the data from the SD cards, as it usually just shows thumbnails, but then once you click on a picture it only shows a gray or black square. When I try to recover data from a 2nd SD card, the software combines the thousands and thousands of files from the 1st SD card, making the data recover procedure a complete mess.
So I was not happy with the results, and wanted my money back within a few days. They did not hesitate to cancel my subscription, but said that I could not get my money back since I did not troubleshoot with a tech. Which, is a something I will get to after I am done writing this review, and it is also something I avoided because I know that the tech will not be able to help me with. The simple fact that they are making it this hard for me to get my money back and something that they know does not work 100% as advertised is the reason why I am giving this 1 star. Any other product I have ever purchased does not make it this hard to get money back for unsatisfactory results.
I feel completely taken advantage of, for a product that is not worth even 20 USD.
I had an old have drive with some pictures on it that died, and I wanted to recover the photos. So I turned to easeus's software to try and recover it, as it was well reviewed. The free installation detected many files on the hard drive that it could recover, but I had to buy the full software to try and recover them. Fair enough. So I shelled out the $76 to buy a 1 month subscription to use the product, which was the only way you can buy it.
After running for many hours, the software failed to recover a single file, despite having identified many file names it claimed it could recover during the free scan.
Obviously I was disappointed, but I did not request a refund. Recovering data from dead drives is a tricky business, and I knew there were no guarantees going into it.
However. Remember that one month subscription I mentioned earlier? I took that to mean that I could only use the software for one month. Silly me. In the fine print (who reads it?) it is stated that not only was I buying a one month subscription, but that I was also entering into a monthly subscription for it. To be billed $76 every month.
So imagine my surprise when I get another $76 bill a month later. I canceled the subscription and requested a refund of course, but the refund request was rejected. That's all according to their plan, I'm sure. I ended up paying $150 for software that didn't work. I strongly suggest you look elsewhere if you need to recover data from a faulty hard drive.
Very bad software. It quickly found my deleted files, but them made them COMPLETELY UNRECOVERABLE after I would not pay for the upgrade to their "Pro version"!
DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS TERRIBLE SOFTWARE!
Alex began by loading software that he did not remove after his work. Crashed 2 Win10 1tbhd that ifixed
Bought the recovery, unable to solve my issues. Asked me to purchase more (unlimited plan, manual plan etc.)
I am using the free version so no tech support but have not needed it. Easy to use and does auto backups of your choosing in nice user interface. Highly recommended.
I recently purchased EaseUS Data Recovery software with high hopes of retrieving my lost data, but unfortunately, it fell far short of its promises. The entire experience was a letdown, and I strongly advise potential users to consider alternative solutions like Wondershare Recoverit.
From the start, the software exhibited significant issues. The scanning process took an exorbitant amount of time, dragging on endlessly as it combed through my disk. To make matters worse, the results were shockingly inadequate, telling me it can recover only a meager 50% or less of the data that Wondershare Recoverit effortlessly was able to restore from the same disk.
In stark contrast, Wondershare Recoverit not only performed the job swiftly but also recovered almost all of my lost data seamlessly. The efficiency and reliability of Wondershare far surpassed the disappointing performance of EaseUS.
Adding insult to injury, EaseUS proved to be a customer support nightmare. Frustrated by the lackluster results, I promptly requested a refund within four hours of purchasing the software. To my dismay, their customer support team took an eternity to respond and, when they finally did, they callously informed me that I was not entitled to a refund.
EaseUS Data Recovery is not only ineffective but also comes with an exorbitant price tag and abysmal customer support. I strongly caution against falling for their promises and urge anyone in need of data recovery services to opt for Wondershare Recoverit instead. EaseUS is nothing short of a scam, and my personal experience is a testament to the disappointment and frustration that users can expect from this subpar software. Save yourself the trouble and invest in a reliable solution like Wondershare Recoverit for your data recovery needs
I used Data Recovery but it scanned for a long time. Thus, I stopped it and restarted again. It was still so I gave up.
Absolute garbage product and a big scam Support is nonexistent. Unable to activate the product and when you email support you do not get a response.
EaseUS has a rating of 1.5 stars from 35 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with EaseUS most frequently mention hard drive, customer service and data recovery. EaseUS ranks 122nd among Data Backup sites.
