Heard about dl from a friend of mine so I decided to try it out. It's like a mesh up between tinder and Craigslist. Seem to be more secure and strict than Craigslist but still has the benefits of tinder for hooking up. Looks like they're adding new sections too that sound promising

There are many times that I get flagged and I am not given any reason for it. I try to play by the rules but sometimes I don't understand what is going on. I really like this site but those in charge should explain what I'm doing wrong so I can correct it.
Very frustrating when a new ad is flagged when you have done your best to keep it clean. Posting your stats is flagged as a possible phone number. Then look at other ads and see 100% more "vulgar" language.

The only section that shows when the post was placed is for men for men. The other categories don't so we all have no idea when it was actually placed. This is very frustrating. As of now the beta messenger is average at best. Can't erase messages and they either show up well after they were sent or not at all. I have had a number of great encounters through this site however. Just needs a bit of improvement.
I like the fact that it is free. You can however pay for premium service. What that would get you no one really knows. Several people use it but it is mostly Gay, Bi, and Lesbians. I have been on it for about a year and have not had a lot of luck. You must be hung and young I guess. No one seems to want old and average. I have had a few answers to my posts, but like I said nothing has really panned out. A couple emails later and you are ghosted. Never set anything up, just a little chit chat and nothing else. I don't know if there are so many replies to post that a person can't decide or what the deal is. I am just still here hoping to one day make that right connection.
I feel like it's monitored by my parents. You can't say "dirty" words even though that's the point of the site. You can't post more than 3 in 24 hours, even if you delete old ones. And, if you're caught in multiple cities, you're in trouble. HELLO... I travel for work all the time and can be in a new city every day! Too many lame rules.
Not complaining… just a thought. There should be a way to rate/review any encounter on this platform. I think that would help everyone hold themselves to a little higher standard at the very least and in turn would bring more people (more opportunities) to trust this kinda thing…
Have met some good people to hang out with. Site is easy to use and absolutely free, no buying credits or limits on messages. Worth checking out if looking for local consenting adults to spend time with.
1. You used to post pics if what you got but now the site flags your post the second you do.
2. Casual sex and normal sex is nonexistent, most users are asking for freaky $#*!. Ex. A couple near Fairfield wants a guy to "feel up" the girl, ZERO sex while doing it and when your done you ONLY watch the couple $#*!, you DO NOT participate.
3. All women of all ages (18-50) ask only for men over the age on 25 NO LESS. And mostly ask for 40+. 18-24 men should look else where.
4. Women who are interested and possibly real are either too far away or in South Ca.
5. There are no compromises, they see one feature they don't like about you, THEY WILL DROP YOU.

When Craigslist personals got taken away I thought well that's it for me when it comes to having enough fun and safe time meeting you hook ups and potentially even lifelong lovers / friends. This is as close to the old CL ads as I've seen and it's nice to have this option. I've met a few people here, so the site is not too infested with bots and scammers. That's refreshing! One suggestion, display when the ad was originally posted. Many don't remove their posts.

I see a lot of posts that violate their "rules" and when
I tested the waters with a photo I was banned from site going on 4 months now. "Customer Service" won't answer emails inquiring as to why I was banned
A lot of posts show current date but we're on there 8 months earlier... makes it look like their doing better than they are as far as volume
We're all on here because we're looking for something that makes us feel good and doublelist gives us that opportunity. I'm a bisexual man so it would be nice if there were more women responding to my messages. Other than that, it serves its purpose.
Overall, DL is a good tool. The biggest deficiency is that the posts are not dated. Words like "today" and "tomorrow" mean nothing in a post when I do not know when it was posted.
And, I would like to see the Message App go away as a means of messaging people.
