“I was a member of the original site after it was handed...”

I was a member of the original site after it was handed over and found that experience traumatizing however it was nothing compared with this site which was begun by the original owner. She searched out members of her first site via facebook and other groups. After a short time these members had to pay for the privilege of using depressionet. The volunteers who ran the site and the owner were extremely paranoid. One new member was accused of being a spy for the old dnet and within 24 hours of joining was put into what they termed 'warm storage' This meant that they were not deleted from the site but were unable to access it, the purpose being that they couldnt rejoin using another email address because their Ip address would show up. None of the ppl involved in running the site have any training. I would not recommend this site to anyone who was in any way emotionally upset as the treatment there would send them into a downward spiral.

Was a member of the original site which was excellent. Govt bought it out and it failed. What a shock! Previous owner now running new version but seems to have been affected by the interim activities as she is no longer impartial and started it up with a bunch of old members who are friends of hers. They are protected species. I was one of them but I've gron in the 3 years since it disappeared and was jumped on. So I left. I get the impression if you are not female then don't bother.

If you sre female then all you get is platitudes, so don't bother either.
