After I have shown the correct answer after I have gotten it wrong the first time it would say I got it wrong and make me redo the whole thing. It is such a stupid $#*! website it doesn't help me learn, it just confuses me even more. This website is making me fail math.
My son was given a word problem along with a graph to relate to his answer. Basically the info in word problem was:5 lemons produce 3 cups. At what rate are lemons being used per cup?
So naturally my son did 5÷3 to get his answer of 1.66 repeating to which he was told was incorrect. The "correct" answer was 5/3. I find this completely ridiculous. They are the same why would they tell students they are wrong? The only thing that is teaching them is self doubt & the there is only one way to solve problems. I cannot believe incompetent programs such as these are mental to replace a physical embodiment of a teacher. Unacceptable.
The attached photo is the second question in the program. As I do not know how to return to the previous one.
Extremely tedious and shows variables with no defined meaning. I don't think any of the methods they show are easy to use, and there are many simpler methods than the ones within dealta.
Deltamath is not the most user friendly website out there. If you answer incorrectly or correctly answer in a way that deltamath doesn't want you to answer (without notifying you!), it will count you as incorrect and take off a point from your assignment. As much as this website is not user friendly, deltamath doesn't load 30% of the time I open it! Also, Deltamath will work you as incorrect for an answer that you actually got right. If this website was more hands-on, then it would very likely receive better reviews and would be deemed more helpful to math education.
This program may be "free" but this does not mean it is good. It does not specify HOW the student should answer without making it vague. Other platforms tend to specify EXACTLY how the answer should be (slope intercept form, rounded, as an integer only etc.
I actually really like delta math. It is much better than other platforms like I-ready and MYOPENMATH. It is very getting to the point and is not confusing. If you know what you are doing then it is very good.
This website can be a useful math tool but it overall just sucks as a student perfection is a standard that should be accepted because on tests you need to be perfect. This is what irritates me that you cannot see multiple solutions to a problem. If Delta math in this case lets use elimination Delta Math always uses the top equation even if it is confusing and not what a human will do. And even if there are multiple solutions or you get it wrong you can not switch to the preferred equation that you did the last step on and you cannot learn anything from your mistakes. This tool can be helpful to some students so if a teacher or a admintiration is seeing this please do not make this tool required as it can be hell to busy students.
DeltaMath has given me nothing but stress all class long. They should really make the app more hands-on, or something that gives us a better explanation on how to do a problem. Sadly, where I'm in school, I have to keep on using it, but after I'm out, then DeltaMath will not be a part of me anymore.

I hope all shapes circles and other little geometric bastards with angles, areas and circumferences fatter than your mom, all jump off a cliff for their assult on my neurons. I hope every damned number (especially 6) shoots itself in the mouth for their crimes against my sanity. I hope every fake word problem child (probably named Koiuniou or some dumb $#*! like that) hang themselves, and are found clutching their stupid baseball card collection in the iron grip of death, or even better, that they'll get run over on their overly geometric route to school. There should be a Geneva convention that bans the subjection of children's poor beleaguered braincells to the Guantanamo bay level torture that is delta math.
Hello, people of this website and my fellow $#*!ING delta math haters, I would just like you people to spread the word, "Whoever made delta math, you better be sorry because children are failing your stupid archaic website, don't think 'Oh!... those kids are just STUPID FREAKS!" No no no... When you have an above avg IQ? Don't let this stupid website 'correct' your mistakes because, and I SWEAR TO GOD I HAVE GOTTEN THOUSANDS MILLIONS OF PROBLEMS RIGHT WITH THE RIGHT STUPID ALOGORITIM OR METHOD THAT THIS WEBSITE DOES. And you know what It tells me? 'Please move the decimal to the RIGHT!'. Ya know one thing that I hate? Is that it says this on a $#*!ING NO DECIMAL Y=MX+B PROBLEM. So if you are a schooling district advisor or a teacher you will think this is an 'awesome learning experience'. Then... there are these three little steps I want you to do...
1. Shut the $#*! up
2. Board your house windows and arm yourself
3. Check under your bed and give an offering of lamb blood to Cthulu
Because I will find you and make you pay for my, OUR suffering..."- Some random repost! Have a wonderful day now!
The way is shows you on the examples are completely off they are just wrong way to show us how to do the questions wrong
I'm not a teacher, but my teacher uses it often, it seems like a good tool, but it's not, it is a dysfunctional pile of diarrhea. DeltaMath is the easiest way to make a teacher hated by the students. It is good every so often, but every day DeltaMath is the equivalent of sitting in a chair made of spikes. This website is the physical embodiment of medieval torture, everyone I go to school with hates it, and by default, hate the teachers who give it out, if you are a teacher, for the sake of your students, their grades, and your respect from the students, DO NOT USE DELTAMATH. I really hope this was helpful.
1. Lack in videos and website of explaining problems
2. Strategy to solve the problem is different in the video and in the website
3. If you are stuck and want to go see an example it will erase all your hard work
As a student, I can confirm that this website really helps me learn math in an effective way. It makes math not too easy and rarely too hard. I feel like more math teachers should use delta math more frequently, as it has probably taught me the most math out of all the websites our school uses.
This website model is "depth, clarity, and rigor" but the entire thing ultimately betrays the model. It expects perfection every time, doesn't have hints, and doesn't give you an example until you get the problem wrong. Also, just getting help videos for students costs 100$! That is way too expensive for something every educational website should have.
I have cried every single time I have had to use this for homework. The problems are hard to understand, and if you don't put it in the exact way the program wants it, you get the question wrong. Then, it also doesn't tell you what is wrong with the question. To top it off, you lose a point if you get a question wrong, forcing you to do more than needed to just move onto the next section. Overall, this site is trauma for math students and should be burned in the hottest pits of hell.
If you're a teacher who uses delta math all that does is reflect on you as a person and how lazy you are but also how little you care about your students. My teachers pile up my work on delta math for homework. There can be infinite problems if I don't understand it. For them it is just a click of a button and everything is graded for them. For me its endless struggles. See how unfair this is?
Honestly, this math website is a lot better than the dog SH! T ALEKS had to do to our teenage minds am I right? The only problem I have with it is that if you get one question wrong then you have to answer 2 questions to get progress, and i hate when it adds up from -1 to -2 if you get it wrong again, it sucks but its not as bad as ALEKS
