This is one of the worst math websites in history, almost comparable to ALEKS. The explanations are absolute $#*! because they don't go deep into the explanation and why that is the answer. Honestly, I would sue the owners of the math website if I had the chance to. Overall this app is just straight-up $#*!.
This makes me cry myself to sleep. I really hate this whole website please delete this bro like its so dookie its torture for a 8th grader
I am a student and I have been using DeltaMath for years. This may seem like an overreaction but it is torture! Teachers, please do not assign your students this. Just teach like you are supposed to. It is beyond frustrating when I get a question wrong and it makes me do a whole other one. It took me FIVE HOURS to do a five-question homework assignment because I couldn't figure out what 'x' was. The videos and examples are not helpful. The website glitches all the time, and sometimes I have to start all over! And I know how tempting it is for you teachers, "Oh, it's free, gives the kids examples, auto-grades it, etc." But if you really care about your students, you wouldn't want them to do several hour-long homework assignments! Only lazy teachers give their students DeltaMath. There are THOUSANDS of other math websites to use like Khan Academy (which is great) but I am BEGGING you, DO NOT USE THIS!
I hate this, every time you get it wrong it gives you more problems to do so you can "learn it better". And the videos are short and never explain anything the way you need it to be explained.
The explaining sucks. Im not sure if they do 3 letter explanation sentences just to look aesthetic, or if they want to keep it practical but either way its really annoying. And honestly when teacher assign homework the last thing i want to hear is a video but because i dont understand one question. Just write it because its is going to clearly tell me what is i got wrong, if i were to watch a video or look at an example i'd just be re-learning the topic and wasting my time. That is the only frustration i personally have but it really $#*!ing annoys me and makes me want to skip the homework.
Delta math has changed me as a woman I feel so dumb. Yes help me pls I have never felt dumber we have gotten all the problems wrong. I want to sue.
My students have used Deltamath for over 10 years. A few years back the statistics class looked at data and found that students who completed at least 80% of their deltamath work (on time) rarely received less than a C overall in the class. On the other hand, students who didn't complete at least 40% of their deltamath assignments rarely scored higher than a D in the class.
Students leaving critical "reviews" of this program only serve to undermine the value of this site as a resource in evaluating educational technology programs. The moderators should do a better job weeding out these kinds of reviews.
Oh my god! This site is the worst website ever! WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Because it is a ripoff on khan acadamy. Also, it has no limit for assingment subsections! LIKE WHAT THE!@$#! This stuff needs to change! And the site looks ugly af! To the creator of delta math,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,KYS. If i could give this -Infinity stars, I COULD.
The dumb part of Delta Math is how the examples are useless. They aren't even related to the actual question most of the time and the videos are as boring as math class. And don't get me started on timed problems. In a word, bad.
Please read this. No matter student or teacher, please avoid using this website. Not only are the videos useless and often provide info on a singular problem, while a variety of problems and questions are used, the examples are often random. Basically, I spent an hour just to give you how bad this thing is since I actually really like writing essays, math, and biology.
Delta Math, an online platform often utilized as a supplementary tool for mathematics education, has gained popularity among students and educators. However, it is imperative to recognize the potential drawbacks associated with its use. In this essay, we will discuss why one should exercise caution when relying on Delta Math due to its unreliability and the lack of helpful examples and videos.
First and foremost, Delta Math's unreliability poses a significant concern. The platform's algorithms and grading system can be inconsistent and, at times, even erroneous. This inconsistency can lead to students receiving inaccurate feedback on their assignments, which can be detrimental to their learning process. When students are unable to trust the platform's assessments, it can erode their confidence and hinder their academic progress. Furthermore, educators may find themselves spending valuable time addressing students' concerns about grading discrepancies rather than focusing on teaching and learning.
Secondly, the quality of the examples and videos provided on Delta Math leaves much to be desired. Effective mathematics instruction relies on clear and concise explanations, along with relevant examples. Unfortunately, Delta Math often falls short in this regard. The examples provided are sometimes too simplistic or unrelated to the actual content being taught, leaving students struggling to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Additionally, the instructional videos can lack depth and fail to address common misconceptions, leaving students ill-prepared to tackle more complex mathematical problems independently.
In conclusion, while Delta Math may seem like a convenient tool for mathematics education, it is essential to consider its drawbacks, particularly its unreliability and the inadequacy of its example and video resources. Students and educators should exercise caution when relying on Delta Math as a primary source for learning and assessment. To foster a deeper understanding of mathematics and promote successful learning outcomes, it is advisable to supplement Delta Math with other reliable resources and engage in open communication with educators to address any concerns and challenges that may arise. By doing so, students can navigate the pitfalls of Delta Math and maximize their mathematical proficiency.
I had a grade of 100% with completion at 100% but, an internet error made the grade reset but not the completion so I have a 0 for that grade
The minute I entered this software I could not believe how horrible it was. I am no longer going to let my infant son live in this world. When I came home after using this website, I thunder$#*!ed my infant son into my wall. He is no longer with us. He crashed through the drywall and into the neighbors apartment. If I catch anyone ever using this terrific software, so help me god, I will punch the Delta smile off of your scallywag face.
I'm a high school student in my Junior year, and I'm tired of teachers using this for assignments. The instructions are never clear and often leave out important information. When submitting a problem there is a 90% chance the program will mark it as wrong due to formatting differences. It's also hard for teachers to check homework because the questions can differ from student to student. In short, I hate this god-forsaken website.
I was assigned this for the school I'm going to and I got multiple answers correct but it showed as "incorrect" they said it was less painful that Ixl but ixl is way better at explaining and overall instructions.
I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, I am beyond mad, and my rage knows no bounds. The inventor of the system where if you get two wrongs in a row, you get set back one, needs to be demolished of the face of God's green earth. I swear this is the type of baloney the Republican Guard did to captured prisoners, and I say this is even worse. I felt as though I'd been cast into some cruel, never-ending cycle of disappointment every time I made an error. A ceaseless loop, reminiscent of Sisyphus pushing his boulder uphill, only for it to roll back down. Such a system does not aid in growth, but rather instills a sense of dread and frustration. I wonder if the developer ever tried their hand at their own concoction or just derived perverse pleasure from knowing others were. It's as if Dante had devised a new circle of hell, and I was the unsuspecting traveler trapped within. This isn't just a design flaw; it's an abomination.
This thing is complete garbage and made me very stressed in short words. When I would try and do a math problem just to get it wrong, I'd see the solution or look at an example. They show some steps on how to solve the problem but they don't explain how they got to the point(The pictures will be proof. You'll see it tell you to multiply by -2, wont explain why and then say to multiply by -4 and wont explain why either). But the worse part is that a teacher can give a student a penalty for getting a question wrong! Basically if there are 5 questions to complete. A student gets 3/5 of them but then gets 1 question wrong, if there is a penalty off. Now if the student gets the next question correct they will still be at 3/5 completed questions making them have to get 2 questions correct in a ROW! This is completely unreasonable! So overall, if its to see if your students get what you are teaching them it is not bad nor good but if you want it to help teach them then it's complete garbage, the videos are confusing and the penalties ruin progress if DeltaMath can't even teach how to do the math correctly.
This website is terrible and good reviews are just from teachers that are too lazy to teach themselves. This website is so slow, the videos are not useful or helpful and most questions given are vague and confusing.
This is the $#*!tiest website ever honestly. I'm trying to understand how the $#*! you actually make a website this dumb. Any time you get a question wrong, they don't even try to help you. The videos are useless, and do nothing. It's terrible for when your teacher assigns you a $#*!ton of this sheer nonsense, because you'll end up spending hours on it. $#*! Delta Math frfr.
It is a chickenbutt to me like seriously even ice spice hates it too. Shut down delta math! Right guys?
