The customer support is very poor. I have been trying to chase an open case with them for stolen/lost package. And they have no solution for it, instead they said they do not deal with stolen/lost situation.

Very poor service
October 24, 2021

I purchased a static bike as a gift to my mom in the US (I'm living in Australia). About 30 minutes after purchasing my mum tells me that she cannot use the upright bikes; rather, she must use recumbent because of her back issues. I immediately contact their customer support via both chat and email to cancel the order. About an hour and a half later I receive a reply from Decathlon telling me that they cannot cancel the order because they have already dispatched the bike but they will provide instructions on how to return. I'm surprised at this given that I just purchased the bike a couple of hours earlier. I'm not happy; I do not want my mom to go through all the trouble and spending time she does not have into returning a bike. I receive an email saying that my return request has been approved and will receive an over sized item label for return as well as further instructions. I receive nothing. I must keep contacting customer support to useless information drop by drop. In the last email I was informed that they won't pay for the return costs and I must ship the bike from Chicago to California.

I will never purchase from Decathlon in the US again.

Waste of time

Went to decathlon in eastwood today to look at the fishing chair to compare it to others available none out on display so went to find a member of staff so i could have a look at it and see how the comfort compared totally refused just said had to buy one to see not happening im not going to part with £100 to find out its useless would you buy shoes that you have only seen a picture of on a box never returning what a shambles of a company

HORRIBLE! Purchased a bike for my daughter and within days the rubbed tire fell apart as she was riding. After weeks of discussing this situation with them and wanting an exchange on this hazardous bike I've been told this is due to deflated inner tube inside the tire and it happens when it sits in there warehouse for too long. So because they have had a bike in there warehouse for too long it's my problem that it arrived this way. My daughter fell off as she was riding, how is that exceptable. Tire no long stays inflated and I've had the bike for 2 weeks and it was only riden 3 times. Save your money and shop elsewhere. They tell you that your child's safety is at there utmost priority but thats all BS. At end of day I've been told there's nothing they can do in terms of exchange because it's common practice to pump your tire every time your ride it. Well we own Cannondales and I've never ever had to do that before. We purchased the ROCKRIDER ST 120 20" KIDS MOUNTAIN BIKE, don't buy it. But I honestly wouldn't buy nothing from them as I saw another review on here with the same issue. Btw there bikes are made in China so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with there crappy workmanship. I had such high hopes in this company. There website looks very professional but clearly they are NOT! Do not purchase from companies that do not put your children or your safety as priority number one. This is your life at risk on these death traps that could fall apart on you as you or your little ride on

Poor customer service
July 14, 2021

Canceled my order and the product was still available in the store. The Customer service was not helpful and was giving me incorrect information about what products actually shipped to me. I am returning everything I bought because of the poor customer service.

I love cycling and hiking. Again and again, Decathlon has proven itself to have an excellent choice of all kinds of sports equipment - waterproof sneakers, rain coats, tents, hiking sticks, etc - with a price range that even I, who used to be an unemployed student working part-time, could afford. I can't recommend them enough.

Fabulous service.

I ordered an Easybreath Snorkelling Mask a few days before Christmas. ( not expecting it before Christmas) it arrived 3 days after ordering, was kept informed the whole time. Could not fault any aspect.

Since a couple of months you can now buy online on decathlon.com.

I ordered something when it was barely a week available. You first have to select a store, and you can choose to collect it from that store or get it home delivered (5 € add). I did the latter and it arrived just 3 or 4 days later. The only mistake was that they delivered golf balls 'Callaway warbird' instead of the gloves I ordered (also named warbird). But after a phone call, they were professional and polite, they excused themselves for the mistake and sent the gloves free of charge. I could keep the golf balls because they made the mistake, as a commercial gesture. Very well resolved in my opinion.
The only downside are the prices. Their own products are often cheap, and decent quality, but brand product are (at least for golf) much more expensive than international golfshop sites like golfonline.co.uk or golfstoreeurope.com. Nevertheless still cheaper than most 'real' golf shops in Belgium.
