This website directs scam victims to scam recovery websites. Some of these websites (more like all of these websites) are known to provide incorrect legal advice, complaint letters with fake legal threats that don't use any legal arguments and other incorrect facts. These websites don't actually recover any money themselves. They ask you to send their complaint letters to authorities such as the police/regulators with the hope that these authorities will be bothered looking into your case when they have more serious criminal cases to investigate first. They will also ask you to send these complaint letters to third parties using fake legal threats to seek compensation as mentioned previously. I questioned why cyberscamreview was deleting posts on their facebook page warning people of scam recovery websites, and they just denied ever seeing these posts and are now ignoring my messages. VERY suspicious indeed.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has stated the following about asset recovery companies: "Although these companies sometimes claim to have elaborate asset recovery expertise, or even legal expertise, some of them do little more than draft a demand letter to the original scam artist and send a boilerplate complaint to the logical regulatory agency. Those are two steps that victims can take easily on their own, free of charge.".

Investopia has stated the following about asset recovery companies: "In a less-brazen variant on the scheme, the asset recovery company will perform services. But these are usually things the consumer can do for free. Let's say, for example, that someone fraudulently used a credit card to pay for something in the original scam. The asset recovery company will dispute the charge with the credit card company on their client's behalf and charge hundreds of dollars to do so, for its time, trouble, and so-called legal expertise. In reality, all it takes to fight a disputed charge is a phone call to the card issuer, which has entire departments set up to handle this sort of thing, at no expense to the cardholder.".
