We were looking for a place close to our friend's house where they were getting married and wanted to be walking distance from an area which was unknown to us at the time we booked. Brett was recommended to us by a local homeowner and ended up being an incredible find! Not only did he find us the perfect rental, negotiated a great rate but also helped coordinate charter flights for us from San Jose. When our son accidentally left a bag on the plane with his iPad and go pro, Brett tracked it down and coordinated its return to us. What could have been a terrible start to our trip, instead reaffirmed his dilagent approach to ensuring we had a great vacation and how important it is to work with a local who is connected to the community.

Just had to post this note detailing my experience with Costa Rica Beach Rentals. I dealt directly with the owner - guy named Brett - who could not have been more helpful. I had heard things can get a bit shady down there and this guy countered every rumor in the book. First off, he's a Jersey boy, so there was no language barrier. He was more than helpful in explaining what my options are and helping me find the right house. There are places on the beach and places on the hillside. He heard what me and my family liked to do and slotted us into the perfect property. He also lives there and so was available for the many follow-up questions we had. He also got us hooked up with quads, surf lessons and yoga classes. Just a generally helpful guy. Anyway, had to give him a shout as this kind of service is severely lacking these days. Anywhere.

I met Brett in 2014 at a surf camp and when I decided to come back to Malpais in 2015, I contacted him for a rental. Brett was great and got me set up with a hotel and a rental car. He answered all my questions via email very quickly and helped me with every detail of my vacation. He recommended surf shops and places to eat. Brett made sure that my vacation went smoothly and without any surprises. The hotel was exactly what I needed and I had no problems with anything. I highly recommend using Brett and his company!
