The first letter is crucial
April 26, 2021

I would like to add a few more things to my first review.
I can well imagine that there were also disappointments. To everyone who thinks this site is a scam site.
Take a realistic look from your side what the chances of success are. They are always at 50:50.
The more realistic you are, the more points you collect on the left. Deal with your appearance and how you want the woman by your side to look. The women pay an entrance fee. It is mostly women who have to make a compromise because they have little chance of finding a man on the Chinese marriage market.
Most prospects can be found on such a page.
Language barrier: All letters are translated from English to Chinese. Very few women can speak English.
A woman's first letter is always free, at least that was the case in my case. Don't be blinded by photos. It was also my first mistake with two women.
Note the age difference. When a single 25 year old woman writes to a man over 50, it is an attempt at fraud. No young woman of this age is really looking for a man over 50. And she is still under family wing. Parents pay attention to who they drag in. So stay away and ignore it at all. Letters from such women only generate sales. Women over 30 with children. The chances of entering into a relationship with such a woman are far from higher. These women can hardly be placed any more. The parents of such a woman know that too. Parents are more willing to give their consent to marry a western man.
This can sometimes be a reason why pre-arranged meetings do not take place. The woman is under immense family pressure. And the family counts once more than an unknown and waiting man at the airport. And a meeting with only two or three corrosponding letters is unrealistic.
Don't apply pressure to meet. The lady of your heart, as she really means it, will urge you to meet you. It was the same with my wife. She asked after a few letters whether it was possible that I could visit her in China. You yourself do not benefit if you suggest an appointment and flimsy excuses come up. I had seen it with two women before. One had to go to another city for work and didn't know how long it would take, and the other said she would have to meet another candidate with whom she was also in contact. That was at least honestly true, but I saw myself as a second choice. I broke off contact with both of them, although they were still writing to me. I saved the cost of reading. Then my current wife appeared.
Get names of hotels in their area.
At that time I asked my wife to choose and name several hotels in her area. She did this too. And via a hotel platform I was able to find all the hotels she named. A scammer won't bother.

My wife also wanted her translator to be there.
I found this to be an additional positive sign and of course I agreed.
I had also written down the address of the branch and took it with me when I met for the first time. As a precaution, there should be a meeting. In my last letter before the meeting, I gave the name of the hotel and my cell phone number. Of course, it was also a risk for me. But to my surprise, the translator announced on the same day of our arranged meeting that they would pick me up at a certain time to go out to eat. And in fact they had arrived by taxi at the appointed time. One more thing about behavior. Even if the lady visits you alone in the hotel. Keep your hands with you. Act like a gentleman. The ladies appreciate it. I met my wife on Wednesdays. On Thursday she bought a tablet with translation software. On Thursday evenings she was alone with me in the hotel room. I made no signs of wanting to get closer to her. And on Fridays when visiting the Water Museum in Shenzhen, it was she who took my hand in the taxi and couldn't let go of my hand. With that I knew I had won her heart.

It's a scam but I did get married
January 20, 2018

What was probably initially a dating site turned into a translation agency network on the Chinese end, agencies earning money from EMF letters. Some agencies were probably honest, some less, especially when not enough women joined, women initially had to pay a relatively high fee + a success fee if they found a western groom through the agency's service.

The business model eventually expanded to paid videos, phone calls, email addresses and what have you to rake in the dollars from the male end. The agencies income was proportional to the number of women who joined, so some recruited friends and neighbours, took their pics and loaded them up.

My wife joined for free in this manner with some friends, her classmate ran the local agency :D This was about 8 years ago. I eventually managed to get her direct contact (and some others) and we chatted on QQ. I met a few of those ladies in China, most had paid for membership and were really looking for a husband, but they never read or received admirer letters, they were handled entirely by translators, except for one or two of the couple of dozens I talked to.

The first meetings in China were thus a full discovery of each other, the girls knew nothing of me and their photos were sometimes heavily photoshopped and I did run into some major surprises, although I also got lucky.

My wife was actually interested but couldn't afford the joining fee, the free joining was a great opportunity. So when I broke off contact after I realized I was talking to a translator, she eventually contacted me on QQ a few weeks later. We're married with 2 kids, more on that later.

You could actually think the agencies are entirely to blame, were it not for Chnlove profiteering knowingly from the system, and even the women relying voluntarily on the agencies to find a suitable groom because they are too busy or lazy to get involved in the communications.

Now on to the women: many are genuine, at least this was the case 8 years ago. Many are obviously not. Of the genuine ones, don't expect them to accept a huge age difference unless you're extremely wealthy, and if you are, you probably don't need to come look in China. Also loks wise, if you couldn't date her at home, you probably can't here either. Most will be unwanted by Chinese men, too old (30+), bad background, divorced with or without kids or simply unattractive, we foreigners actually have the reputation of taking the uglies. I live in China now and go to a massage parlour for a genuine massage once in a while, but they do offer extras, one of the girls speaks english and told me she is on Chnlove and hopes for a rich escape. The real pretty ladies here are in high demand, you won't find them on Chnlove, the standard of living has also made leaps ahead, they generally don't need a middle class laowai for a comfortable life anymore.

So if you're really into Chinese women, I would suggest you come here to try your luck. As a foreigner, you'll always have a little bonus when it comes to dating, but it won't go as far as it maybe used to 10 or 20 years ago. I know a foreigner who is dating a total stunner, but he's actually really famous. Other successful foreigners (in business) here are not so lucky.

Save your money for plane tickets and avoid this site. There are some free ones, try your luck there, Or learn Chinese and join the Chinese sites. Actually just learn Chinese, if you're 40+, the probability that potential dates speak english is very slim. Younger than 25 yo Chinese have a higher English speaking rate.

Would I recommend the Chinese/Western cultural mix? It's a double edged knife, in some ways it's fun, in others it's a nuisance. I have no big regrets but our marriage is not idyllic and mostly held together by the kids. So don't have your expectations too high, Chinese are very money focused, much more than we can imagine, and that weighs on relationships.

Wouldn't Recommend at all
October 11, 2017

I have been searching around with reviews on here. The lower ratings are most likely absolutely right. I have been on the site for about a year and I was talking to many different ladies while wining down my options. Throughout one year, I have decided to choose one lady to seriously move forward with and buy her private email. Once I have obtained it, I barely get any responses on her and when she did reply back her email messages to me were very short. So you can write long or decent length letters to me on the site while sending me 4-7 letters but you barely write back to me on your private email? How odd and ironic. I can't authenticate whether or not if it was actually the lady that I was speaking with but I am sure it was the same person I was speaking with when I chatted with her a couple of times. Maybe another lady behind her profile or an agent. If it was her then she was not serious and she was only there to make money for the site. I suspect mostly are agents or the real ladies but they are paid to be on there to make money for the site. They don't care if you get hurt. It sucks for the men who are actually serious in finding a serious relationship or wife. I do believe there are probably some real women on here due to some lucky members in the past that have found their partner before it was scam site but you would probably have to get scam a lot with many women before you find someone who is real and serious. That would cost so much money through the process. I find it funny hearing stories from past members stories that once you meet them it would not be what you expected. "Broken leg" or some other excuses why they won't meet by the time you already there in China lol... Sad but true.

I only been talking with the lady I was in my email but it ended up due to her lack of interest of wanting to communicate more outside of the site. Always seem hesitant when I ask for her private information especially since when I have been communicating with her for so long. She would tell "I think we should get to know each better first." Really? Mostly she was there just to make more money on there when I was communicating on the site with her. Eventually, she followed through and she accept my request to buy her private email. Outcome, it was fail. This was only one lady. How much more if you have to go through before you

Any way, one of the huge factors for me was price rate on the packages on there. Every time I have money, I would always made excuses for me to use and spend my money else where. Honestly, thinking about it now my money was spend better else where when I decided not to buy credits on this site even when I did had some to spare. Shame because the owners do not care at all if their customers get hurt. Too bad, I hope one day they will get their karma one day. I had fun in one year there but mostly I won't be purchasing anymore credits. I have yet to tell the rest of the ladies that I won't communicate with them for long or anymore due to this reasons. Shame because I have already wined down and I actually like of them. Lastly, Customer support always seems to refer to you through their FAQ section.

It's very bad practice over there. It is not worth the time and money. Look else where if you serious for finding a partner or wife. Btw if you think the positive reviews are right, then you are blind. Most of them are fake and unhelpful. They aren't very helpful at all and just say. "Chnlove has a huge user base and that makes meeting people a very likely occurrence." or "You justhave to try it by yourself, the opinion about it can be very different from person. I like the Chinese girls, i think Chinese girls are easy going. It got you great matches. I give it 5 stars." Really? That is all you have to say for a positive review?! How is that even helpful! This is the kind of sh*t they would say in these positive reviews which usually are short and not helpful at all. Lastly, women who talk about sex or say they love you immediately in earlier communication especially in chat invites or messages are not someone who you should take seriously. They say they love you deeply early first sight? Probably too good to be true. Most likely they aren't sincere and not serious with you.

Besides the money, the most frustrating is spending a whole year doing this is time. This for me is equivalent to money as well. Both very important to me. Wow that is ridiculous. If you do decide to use then only talk to one at a time. Hopefully your not like me and talk to many at a time because I am naturally attractive many asian women than other ethnic backgrounds. You will only spend your money on talking endless conversations with women as penpals instead of moving forward.

Conclusion, stay away and spend your money else where or else you will get hurt. Maybe some or a few of you might get lucky ones but you have to be serious and honest to attract the real ones. But it very unlikely over here. Proceed with caution and you have been warned. Spend it on something else or else where you will be glad that you did instead of there :)

Mostly scammers
July 16, 2017

I have read some of your reviews. As I have mentioned for Charmdates this is mostly a complete fraud; and I am saying "mostly" because I know that unlike Ukranian women many of these wome are for real, but besides obtaining an extra income, as you maintain, they probably get fake translations and not a single way to contact us. As I previously mentioned, I am Spanish, and haven't had the chance to lose too much money with this site (or all of the other "friendly sites" belonging to the same dating agency). Again, you find especially in this site many ladies that have successful jobs adn in my profile details appear at least, as a good Spaniard, one of my two surnames and where I used to work (at a University); just with these data you can find my email address or contact me through Linkedln (and posssibly if you are really interested even my skype address). I only contacted in this site a Xiongmei, divorced, with one kid and beautiful, supposedly upper manager/executive that could speak a real good English; whatever, first message, even when I asked her about any detail that could make me contact her outside the dating site (that it is a rip off), nothing meaningful. To my surprise, the second message that I received an exact copy of the first. Finally, I started receiving emails basically saying stuff such as "i'm deeply in love with you". Although I replied initially the answers had nothing to do with the kind of information that I would have required to contact her, arrange a visit for her to come to me or me to go to her. Right now, after 6 EMFs that I read for which I paid and were a total waste of time and money, I will have up to 20 in my EMF box out of her; do you really think guys that a lady that is earning truckloads is gonna give you replies such as those if she really wants to meet you?. I particularly think that, as the site mentions, the profile is not a 100% verified, they only receive part of the information, they don't understand a single word in English (kind of difficult to believe because even with a web translator, you can manage) or she is a real scammer. However, I think that not all of them are like this particular lady; some have provided me with for real photos with their IDs in their mails and even suggested that they would be willing to skip the dating site rules by providing me with their fb or sk accounts (if that's possible). Just for now, I'm not gonna risk it and when approached by a Chinese lady with her real name (in Chinese) I have tried to find her through skype, fb or googling her. No luck so far. If I get the feeling that any of them wants to really meet me and that the info is not gonna be biased by the dating site, perhaps I'll try again, but I'm not willing to waste a fortune (prefer to arrange a trip to China and meet the locals).

Tip for consumers:

Beware guys...; most of them scammers.

How do they sleep at night?
July 8, 2017

If it seems too good to be true it probably is... and in this case it really is. I was such a fool for falling for this site. The women are absolutely amazingly beautiful - at least the pictures are. I really doubt at this point if I was even talking to the person in the picture. I would often get letters that totally were unrelated to the last letter and to the questions I ask or talked about. When they were "on Line" so to speak, It seemed like the computer would answer you right away just to start the timer then finally someone would come on and message you with absolutely nothing to do with any relationship that you were "developing". What a sucker. You want it to be real you just keep hoping it is. I finally paid for a call to a lady and it took her 15 minutes to "get a piece of paper and something to write with" then when I tried to give her a phone number or email address she took forever. She gave me her phone number so I thought at least i can call her. Well, it was not a working number. Sucker!
I paid for the contact information and got a PO box for $80. What a good deal that is.
To show you how stupid I am I paid for another love call and the translator was to call me and get me on the phone and then at a set time call the lady and we could do a three way call. After several attempts the translator finally came on and told me "she is a $#*! and said she didn't have time now" I just paid for the call and I never got to talk to her and never did. You would think I would have quit then but I didn't.
I finally paid for a email address and got a fake one first and after several months of calling the office they got me one that works. It was a made up email address and there was a person on the other end that answered my emails with love and kisses. Now my hopes began to go up again. Finds out all the pictures "she" sent me were just from a picture library and not really current ones of her. Every question I would ask her on this "good" email address was totally ignored and brushed over with things about dreaming to be with me and what a wonderful life we were going to have. Even that email dried up when I told her I wanted to come and see her. She was just too busy but I would all ways see her available on line. What is amazing is that some of those ladies were "available" on line for hours and hours and days and days. It seemed like the person "online" was a staff member or something. There is no way anyone could be available all that time. What is really sad is most of these beautiful ladies are just in their 20s. Do they really think that they are going to find some guy in a foreign country and leave their life and family in China and go live with him in his country. There are so many red flags with this company. There is a bunch of them,, foreignladies, chnlove, loveme, and others. The one lady I was "going to marry" I found out was on all of them under a different name. I never did find out her real name. They are all absolutely beautiful and they can spark a love call and your imagination but believe me they are not real. We would be in this deep love relationship letter by letter then I would get a letter about a poem or a flower or about the beautiful sky with not even an I miss you or I love you that was there in several letters before. I really believe someone else wrote the letter and of courses you just paid a fortune to read it and another fortune to reply to it. They charge you for every letter sent and received. I ask my "lady" if she got paid to answer the letters or be on line. She told me she had to pay to get listed on the site and did not get paid anything. I don't believe that for a minute. I read a review of a lady that worked for them in staff and in that review she admitted that she made real good money there and eventually she quit because her conscious finally got to her because she felt guilty for scamming men and playing with their emotions and feelings. The bottom line is I don't know how they get away with it. One has an office in Phoenix Az and one has an office in Hong Kong. They are good and they have it will organized. They got me to spend a lot of money with a hope that I really had found the love of my life. The pictures are stunning and irresistible but they are not the person or persons behind the curtain. I have to end this with I just wish they were. I was so excited just like a little boy with candy but the candy happened to be made with salt instead of sugar.

What you might want to know on scam sites and legitimates ones!
December 26, 2016

Hi everyone... Look out and hold tied out of those scam sites!
Read this msg till the end, you might be very interested by the info left there!
After reviewing quite a number of notes left by people like you and I, on different sites like this sitejabber, I come to the conclusion that an impressive number of Asian / Russian sites are really fake. They just try to suck you dried!
One good thing is that I finally succeed to get my money back through my credit card customer service dpt.
Good news, isn't It? (It took me a 10 weeks waiting period for the process, but it got successfully finalized)
Just in 2 or 3 words: I was on Asiandate in contact with supposedly a girl referred as Qinlian (Aimee) from Wuhan. I spent +/- 90 -100 bugs there before realizing the stupidity of the agency employees who reply to you - without even notifying the girl you were trying to contact.
It is when I saw the profile of Aimee on different sites that I realize the scam.
She had a nice profile, she was above 50 y. Old and she had added a video of her; all reasons to believe this profile could be a real one among all the fake ones. And as well the reason why it took me so long to discover the true.
So my piece of advice would be: so NOT get abused! There are 9 "chances" out of 10 that you are facing a scam site, while interfering with Asian dating sites.

So, now coming to the interesting info on what to do to avoid scam sites, all what I can do is to share with you the info that I have collected from my searches on the web. Actually there are 2 sites which look like being legitimate date sites (I might be wrong but until now these ones seem ok! Please let me know if you eventually encounter a bad experience with these sites, so that I could correct this message for other guys reading it.).
One is the 100% free Fdating site where I have met 3 Chinese ladies - got their WeChat n° - videophone them, and exchange mails with them on mine and their private mail address. One thing to now is (with Chinese ladies) that their ability to speak English is far below what they claim in their profile. An other thing I fear is that this site might not stay free for a long time! A last thing to know is that a lot of Philippine ladies will try to get in touch with you - I have no experience there, since I am just interested in Chinese ladies.
The other free dating site is "connecting singles" this seems legitimate according to the info I could grasp here and there. (again, let me know if this is not the case).
Another hints for those of you who want to collect more info on those scam site, you could read on "http://www.datingbusters.com/is-asiandate-com-asianbeauties-com-legit-or-just-a-scam-to-make-money-from-you/#comment-*******" the message of "ImJustAvg" which relates quite an interesting experience. Enjoy!.
And finally as you know, life is also kinda "give & receive back" motion, so should you have experienced any other legitimate dating site, please let me know them, so that I could broadcast the info to all interested persons. Therefore, just drop me a line at my mail address: didiervd1@ gmail.com. I will (and a lot of people will) really appreciate your input.
All the best to you all, brothers and an happy search on your chosen dating site for all this coming 2017:-) Didiervd.

Refund from CHNLove.com
September 1, 2016

This is a follow up to my feedback regarding this Fake Fraud Site, as you are aware that this site doesn't give refunds to people who Use there fake site. Well I worked at them very hard everyday telling them that there site sucks and should be banned from the internet, I followed legal protocol like informed my legal advisor of what has gone on and also how much I have spent on this site so he set to work issuing a motion to log it in the court in America. I am from the UK so it was quite hard to do this motion because They hide there address ect... so I couldn't get any details so I contacted CHNLove customer services asked them simple questions which they refused to answer as all I needed was them to reply so I hacked there IP address which lead back to a server in America so the notion was set at the Courthouse in that town where the owner of the server was summoned to the courthouse where he refused to disclose CHNLove details such as address and Names of the owners so I opened a case for them to release there address they have but the motion was ready to go ahead because it was the end of the day it was adjourned for a week or so till they could slot the hearing and guess what CHNLove emailed me immediately as they knew that they were next to go to court which was already set in The Royal Courts of Queen Elizabeth II in hongkong as the court system in HongKong is run by The UK so that bit was easy but anyway the email offered me a full refund if I stopped legal action which I kept it going as a incentive to pay me everything I paid in there scam site, anyway they sent me a dodgy form which had 4 statements at the bottom and they wanted me to sign not digitally but proper signature so first I sent a digital signature they declined that so I scribbled out some of the statements that I didn't agree with they sent a fresh application form so I emailed them to tell them I don't agree with there statements and they never got back to me so I emailed the customer service and they replied back to me saying they want the form filled in properly and they wanted it complete and sent to them before the 25th November otherwise I would forfeit the refund and it was like 2 days till the 25th so I waited and emailed them and said it's ok we will let the courts refund me with several million once I sued you! By the next morning the refund was in my PayPal account. Do you want to know the truth? I didn't book any courts or There was no law suit I called my Bluff and they fell for it and I got a refund with a little fuss so follow my lead do what I did and you will get your money back excuse is tell them this is a fake site and you are going to take action and convince them make it as real as possible heed my warning don't take NO for an answer and beat the scammers if you need any help just comment and I will try and help so good Luck people in your claims!
