I had a good experience in 2024 buying basic staples for my toddler. They always have 30% off plus they give you $10 off $20 coupons PLUS $5 off coupons if you have an account. I ended up spending $150 (3 online purchases, 2 were shipped to a nearby store for an additional 20% off, and I bought 2 more cute shirts and shorts in the store). I think I bought 2 years worth of clothes. Each shirt and leggings ended up being about $3, sweatshirts were roughly $7, and dresses/rompers were about $5-6 a piece. I think this was a good deal for my toddler. I'm very happy with my 4 purchases.
I purchased several items, had to return 4-5 that were too large. One of the items I returned was a gold sweater that was roughly $14-15, when they processed the return they gave me a credit for a tshirt that was around $4-5. I emailed about their error, they would not change it. I reported to BBB they still would not change the credit. I offered to send a picture of the tshirt I kept they gave me credit for. POOR Customer service, POOR - TERRIBLE Accounting practices.
I've come to realise that Children's Place only cater to a certain height. To get the desired length you have to get a bigger size and that should never be. Not every child is the same height. You have tall children out there and they have to rememeber that. I recentlypurchased a jeans for my 10 year old son and I'm not pleased with it at all. It was the right size but the length was horrible. Fitted him like a capri and it was supposed to be a straight slim fit jeans. He looked ridiculous. Will never order long jeans again from here.
I've always loved Children's Place. I've been shopping there since before my oldest was born, who is now 12. I have four other children who I've always dressed in CP clothing (especially because I love their sales, and the rewards they send in the mail for being a frequent shopper). However, one of the things I love about Children's Place is visiting the store and skimming through sales racks, especially trying to stay on a budget while dressing triplets. I recently purchased several uniform items for my daughter in several different sizes, planning to return the ones that didn't fit. Today I drove into town to make the return and pay my Place card off, only to find they've shuts their doors. Now I have to PAY to return them, when I've always known that if I ordered different sizes, I had the convenience of driving into town to make a return. Having the inability to try things on, shop sales racks, and return online purchases without paying to do so has forever changed my desire to shop at CP. I've made my last CP purchase after 12 years of being a faithful customer.
I ordered 17 items online last Friday using the standard shipping. I was really surprised, but not impressed that one of my items had been processed and shipped by Monday and received item on Wednesday! It seems to me that they are probably backed up with orders and may have to wait for more inventory to finish orders due to stores being closed! I expect a fairly long delay for the rest of my order, but I will change my rating to a 5 star if I get everything else by the end of next week!
I order clothes for children. Not received yet, ordered since 10 days ago. I called customer service regarding delivering an order, but they didn't respond yet.
There free shipping takes like a week... Any other company you receive in 2-3 days. Also 98% of their dresses are above knee length now what's up with that?
I loved the prices I got when placing my order on 4/17 but as of today, I only received 4 out of the 11 items I purchased. It's crazy that it will be 3 weeks on Friday and I have heard ZERO communication about the rest of my items. I contacted The Children's place today about wanting an update, so we will see.
I recently purchase a sweater for my grand daughter and was very pleased at first, but aDyer two or three wears and it had the seam come apart at the neckline and a hole appear at the neck tag. It hadn't even been washed because it's navy blue. Not impressed but here again made in China!
Placed a small order for 3 shirts, 1 pants and underware for my grandson. Called and was advised it takes 10-14 business days to receive. I was told there is a high volume and they can't keep up. I suggest they hire more people if they know there is going to be a high volume of orders Balck Friday and before Christmas. This is just poor managment.
The quality of the clothes are going down hill and the prices are going sky high. TCP used to have great prices and great sales, not anymore. One day they will have an items marked $8.95 on their website and they next day they have a HUGE blow out sale going on and all of a sudden that item is now $14.95 so even after the 20% off you still pay more. I don't even bother to go into the stores anymore b/c they are always a wreck and disorganized and the stock is very low. Some items don't fit the same. I can get a pair of leggings in the same size just different colors and one pair will be an inch longer than the other, very frustrating. I hope to see an improvement at least in their pricing and sales.
