These People are Absolute Monsters
May 12, 2023

STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AS YOU CAN!

I ordered a Frilled Neck Lizard from these breeders and they sent me an EXTREMELY sick animal. He DID NOT come in an insulated box with hot/cold packs like the listing promised, instead he came in a regular brown box with nothing but some regular brown packing paper for cushioning. He is extremely malnourished, under weight, dehydrated and absolutely covered in these bumps/scabs. I immediately rushed him to an animal ER so he could see an exotic reptile specialist and the vet was shocked at how bad he looked. I've already spent more on the vet visit than I did buying the lizard and we still don't even know what's wrong with him. Finally, they won't even honor their 7 day health guarantee. I reached out told them about the poor health of this lizard and they tried blaming it on UPS instead of owning up to it themselves. When I said I want a refund just to help pay for some of these vet costs, they completely ghosted me. This is an absolute awful place to do business and they WILL send you dead or dying reptiles.

-----------------------------Update 12-4-23------------------------------

I wanted to post an update to this review in case people were wanting to know how things turned out.

First and foremost, I'm happy to say that my frilled dragon DID survive! It took A LOT of care, tons of trips to the vet, and hundreds of dollars, but he is HAPPY AND HEALTHY!
We found out that the bumps and scabs were caused by tons of stuck shed, and it was especially bad around his face and toes. Sadly, he lost some of his claws due to the stuck shed cutting off circulation to his toes. The vet said this was caused by dehydration and improper humidity at the breeding facility. The important thing is that he's currently healthy and thriving despite the lost claws, and that's what matters!

Finally, CB Reptiles DID end up honoring their 7 day health guarantee. They issued me a full refund for the lizard AND the shipping charges. It's not a lot compared to the almost $1000 in vet bills I've racked up, but it is better than nothing at all. The only thing is I had to pester CB Reptiles almost constantly. I called them every day and sent them countless emails and texts. They didn't respond until RIGHT AFTER I posted this review, which seemed like kind of suspicious timing to me. Finally, they offered to cover shipping if I wanted to return my sick lizard to them, but I just couldn't bring myself to do that because I felt like it would be a guaranteed death sentence. I decided I would try to get him back in good health and if he didn't make it, he would at least me more comfortable with me instead of a negligent breeder. I'm glad I kept him!

Overall, I still cannot recommend CB Reptiles. The fact that they honored their 7 day health guarantee is nice, but it doesn't change the fact that they sent me a nearly dead animal and tried everything they could to avoid taking responsibility for it. Avoid these people like the plague unless you want to receive a dead/dying animal like I did. I was just lucky that I was able to save my dragon.

PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR REPTILES!
December 10, 2021

I have to recommend that anyone looking for chameleons and possibly any other reptile STEER AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Technical Issues and Support
First of all, their customer support is pretty much non-existent. They take at least 4 business days to reply to any questions or requests. They first charged my card about 3 times, so that was annoying but eventually it was fixed.

Live animal Issues
I ordered 2 chameleons from CBReptile and they were about 6 weeks old when I received them (about the size of the end of my pinky finger). I have been keeping chameleons for several years now and I have studied their care sheets and care instructions to a TEE so I know for a fact I received sick chameleons! They both started showing some concerning signs after about 6 days, and of course I tried keeping them alive so the 7 day guarantee technically doesn't apply to me. They were oversleeping, not as interested in food as they should have been and not active overall. I did everything in my power to make sure they were eating and drinking everyday by pretty much bottle feeding them water and making sure their enclosure was perfect. I also made sure they ate fruit flies and pinhead crickets. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I lost one of the baby chameleons after 3 weeks of receiving her. The other one bounced back and appears to be doing great and is healthy now! Anyways, after I told CBReptile about the issues I've been having, they requested habit information and told me that they couldn't do anything because I didn't mist their habitat enough, EVEN THOUGH I WAS FOLLOWING THEIR CARE SHEET RECOMMENDATIONS! After I sent them an image of their recommendations and how I was following it with proper care, they completely ignored me, and I haven't heard back from them in about a week now.

Summary
Simply put, these guys care only about CASH and not animal and customer satisfaction and health. Please, if you decide to purchase reptiles on-line do NOT purchase from CBReptile. I almost purchased from Kammerflage Kreations, but they were slightly more expensive, and I do regret not getting from them because after extensive research, they appear to actually care about their animals!

Tip for consumers:

Don't use this site

Products used:

purchased 2 chameleons, both had issues and only 1 survived after giving them extensive care

They took down my review
January 29, 2020

My experience has been one that's up and down.
This morning I received my beautiful ambilobe male and hes absolutely stunning and just so sweet.
The only thing that bothered me a little is hes a little older than I asked for. I purchased a juvenile which is supposed to be between the ages of 3.5-6 months. But I received a 7 month old. So I received a young adult when I specifically purchased a juvenile.
I plan on keeping him because I'm absolutely in love and hes sweet as can be, but I wish they would have told me ahead of time that he would be a little older.
When I checked out, I put in the notes section which color combo i would like(i was hoping for ybbb) which I was told was out of stock. (I then checked on the website to see if the ybbb were out of stock and it did not say so.) So I would be receiving a rbbb. Which was fine, I wasnt super picky about the colors. But still frustrating.
I also purchased a mist king kit, which I wasnt informed about it being out of stock till after I already purchased it.
When I asked if they could do overnight shipping for it once they get them back in stock, I was told they would only do 3 day shipping.
So now I'm out of the misting system (that wouldve made his transition here much easier) for who knows how long.
I also wanted to say that his heating pack in his travel box wasnt very warm when he arrived. It makes me wonder how long he truly had been in the box waiting for shipping.

Overall, I love my new little man to the moon and back, but I wish they would keep their website updated with what items are unavailable and be true to what they're selling. When asking for a certain age, I expect a certain age.

FURTHERMORE- I PUT THIS SAME REVIEW UP ON THEIR PAGE AND IT WAS TAKEN DOWN. THEY ONLY POST THEIR 5 STAR REVIEWS. I WOULDVE POSTED 3 STARS BUT FOR THIS. THEY GET 2
