Signed up for texts for a 1st Time Purchase discount but that won't apply on new designs. That's not disclosed so don't fall for that bait n switch promo.
I purchased an iPhone 15 case. I thought the graphics were clever. Shipping took about 12-14 days to California. I never received a shipping confirmation. I was concerned when I saw all the negative reviews and photos of sides coming apart, finishes rubbing off, and customer service issues. My concerns were justified. $82 for this thing? Really? The decal or "printed" finish they applied to the outside of the case was crooked and rough on one edge. There was a little gob of paint & hairline scratch and I realized yeah this finish is never going to last. Their finish is cheap and unsealed, easily scratched or rubbed off.
No packing slip or instructions for a return.
I'm getting the runaround from "customer service" - acts like AI with canned responses. First response is to tell me to send it back at my expense. That's not according to their site's return policy (see photo). No acknowledgment of the defect, I provided photos. Then I requested a return shipping label. Their 2nd reply- we (finally) reviewed your photos and "the design was "printed in an incorrect position" so how about if we send you a new one no charge? No! I don't want a case from this company. The quality does not match the price. Typical Chinese negotiation tactics- they will never offer up a refund. They ignored my third request for a return label so I paid to ship it so they couldn't claim the 10 day window for returns was lost. I documented everything because I expect to have to file a dispute with my credit card.
If you want a cute case for lightweight use great but I don't see how these are durable. I won't risk my iPhone 15 Pro Max using one of these cases.
Another disguised Chinese company that only offers an email for customer service and 24 hours to respond. If they respond at all. And responses in the email chain have different ticket numbers to confuse things even further.
Site has great graphics but notice they never show the case alone in the photos? No address for customer service.
The return address they gave me (see photo) for their "office" is in NJ, a 3rd party fulfillment warehouse and the phone given is for IDS online store for poker tables!
Buyer beware always check outside reviews before buying online.
UPDATE: I can't believe it, they refunded my money. I sent them a photo of the returned package with label, and the tracking link. Took them 3 days to respond, but they did say they were going to refund. That took another 2 days. I still had to pay to return the defective case.
They won’t honor their return policies. They won’t give up a return label. They’ll give you the runaround if there’s a problem. Customer service uses canned responses only. If they mess up your order or send a defective item you have to return at your expense if you want your money back. Document everything if you have a problem. Photograph the return package w your tracking number. I acted quickly and returned the iPhone case before they could close the 10 day return window.
iPhone case
Absolutely disgusted with this company. I SO BADLY wish I had listened to the MASS LOADS of other 1 star reviews on here.
But I went by the 5 star reviews instead, which only talk about the aesthetics of the case. Are the aesthetics nice? Yeh sure. But what's the point in having an aesthetically pleasing phone case if it literally falls apart a couple of months after purchasing?!
The left side of my case started coming apart from the back less than 2 months in, it was just a small amount at first so I didn't bother to do anything about it (big mistake). The whole side eventually came apart and then the right side started to do the exact same thing.
I've been super busy with hen dos/ weddings recently so contacting Casetify sat at the bottom of a to-do list for quite a while. I stupidly believed it would be a years warranty… like the vast majority of other companies offer for products of these kinds.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL! They only offer a 6 month warranty. And that's purely because they are very aware that their products DO NOT last longer than 6months. For the price of them this is absolutely disgusting.
And considering the mountain of 1 star reviews on here complaining about the same thing and the tons of Reddit users (yep go and find their page there are loads of Reddit forums discussing the crappy quality of Casetify cases and how they do not last) you would think the company would revisit their design/manufacturing process in order to improve their product and make it actually fit for purpose.
But no. Casetify could literally not give an absolute damn about whether their product is fit for purpose. That's why they do influencer marketing in order to reel a load of new, unsuspecting customers in each month ready to fall for their marketing ploys.
Casetify categorically do not care about customer retention or customer loyalty - 2 of the most important factors in building a sought after and positive brand image.
I contacted them 2 months too late about my case, and they offered me 15% off my next purchase. Not only can I find bigger discount codes than that online so their pitiful discount offer is just insulting, why an earth would I want to waste yet even more money with a company that does not build fit-for-purpose products?!
When I complained that that wasn't good enough they offered me 20% off and told me that's the best they could do. No remorse, no apologies for an appallingly made case, no promises to look into why the design was faulty so that other customers do not experience the same issues. Absolutely not a care in the world. And the ludicrous idea that I will be a returning customer after all that!
Please, please, please do not buy from this company. Save yourself the hassle. Read the Reddit forums and poor reviews on here. So many people claim they have had replacement cases less than 6months in, just for the same thing to happen a few months later and Casetify claim that they are not allowed a second replacement.
These cases are not worth the money. Sure they're funky designs and if you've got money to spunk then go for it. But if you haven't, then stick to the brands that actually care about their customers.
The case I had before this one was not only slightly cheaper, it lasted the full 2 years I had the phone. Now that is what I call good quality.
WARNING! THIS COMPANY LIES BLATANTLY AND TRIES TO COVER IT UP! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!
I ordered a $60 LEATHER phone case. When it arrived, it was evident it was pleather. And not just pleather, the quality was so bad that the tiny bit of moisture on my hands started disintegrating it like cardboard. I complained and Rebecca rudely told me there was a $30 restocking fee. I told them no, this was a PLEATHER phone case, falsely represented, to which she claimed that the listing had said pleather the whole time. Strange, right? Clearly I, a consumer, would never pay for a $60 PLEATHER phone case but now they're telling me it was pleather the whole time. Except obviously there was no mention of that at all on the website, which they ignored, parroting their desperation for my $30.
I had a feeling they would do this because I could sense their lack of professionalism so I took screenshots of all of the listings, including their detailed listing descriptions. Strangely, as I was complaining on the phone to a family member that is an attorney, half the leather phone case links did not work. They told me to take screenshots, which of course I did.
If it isn't clear by now, when confronted with their lie of trying to pass off leather phone cases, THEY CHANGED THE WEBSITE WHILE I WAS ON IT. HALF THE LISTINGS UNDER THE "LEATHER" SECTION WERE NOW DEFUNCT AND LATER CHANGED TO "PLEATHER." NOW ALL ARE LISTED AS PLEATHER.
However, they didn' tanticipate that the internet is already cached. And additionally, what they didn't anticipate was that I captured receipts of everything. Yes, you read it correctly, THEY EDITED THE ENTIRE WEBSITE TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE I HAD LIED. They then ignored my screenshots of the website that claimed it was high quality "genuine leather" while including a screenshot of the new one that as for an unrelated phone cases saying they only used "vegan leather." ALL TO NOT TAKE BACK MY PHONE CASE, THEY CHANGED THE ENTIRE WEBSITE.
Before: "Our genuine leather monogram phone case with card holder is exquisitely handmade with the finest leather which provides a luxurious look and feel. On top of customizing your own initials, you can also personalize the leather phone case..."
Now: "Crafted with the eco-friendly leather, our crossbody leather card case comes with a crossbody chain. This stylish leather iPhone case provides extra resistant grip to keep it slip-free... Cruelty-free and fashion forward."
This is the most unbelievable story I have ever heard or encountered. As this is a bigger issue than what started, obviously this should be made public and I am debating what action is appropriate. This is HIGHLY unethical and the WORST customer service I've ever personally encountered as well. At this point debating whether to file with the FTC. Oh and if it isn't clear, casetify is a dropship company from China, which explains a whole lot about their business as a whole.
Oh and if you make a custom design, they'll try to profit off of it but selling it. I am thoroughly disgusted as to the ethics of this sad little company, which is to say there is none.
*I ended up checking the website and the product, The M Jewelers - Custom phone case still describes itself as "leather case" with it not being indicated as pleather, while little Becky screenshotted me an irrelevant phone case to say that it had always said pleather. This is simply fraud.
this is straight trash
