I just had one question. I was trying to get rid of one plan--car insurance or car shield. Do I need both? I was assured that I needed both, as insurance is for accident repairs and car shield is for repairs NOT caused by accidents. She was sharp in her speaking, tone of voice and clarity of voice. Unit in question can't function with out fluid...fluid held in place by the Seal on the unit but the Seal is not covered. Unit will fail without a seal,which according to the Dealership working on my vehicle makes one complete unit...One can't work without the other..
My car needed $3000 dollars in repair and I needed a rent car. They did not blink they solved the problem and my car is repaired.
I have been a courtial customer for 5 years and I never missed a monthly payment. But it seems whenever I need something covered there's always an excuse why it's not covered. For example, recently my compressor in my AC was not working and finding out that the discharge hose had a leak. Because the discharge leak caused the problem and that's not covered in the contract they wouldn't even cover my new compressor. Of course you has a way of twisting their words around so that they never have to pay for a claim. This is the third time it's happened to me. The TV commercials made it sound like oh it's fantastic you have to have it. BS for sure. I'm so disgusted with this company and if anybody is thinking of getting it do not! Shame on your car Shield for leading people the wrong way. As far as I'm concerned all my money has been wasted. Do the math car Shield $111.30 for 5 years and all I've gotten was excuses why they wouldn't pay for a claim of mine. And whenever I told a business I took my car to that I had car Shield they never had a positive thing to say about your company. Would give them the runaround and took so long to finally pay for a claim. I feel like I'm caught in a double-edged sword. My car is a 2008 Nissan Altima and probably next to have problems is the engine. According to the contract the engine is covered but I'm sure they'll find a way not to cover something. Besides myself and so disgusted.
At this time I have not had to use Car Shield. I have worked with Car Shield Customer Service and they were out standing! They were very professional and Courteous.

All I have done is buy Car Shield Diamond coverage for my car. If anything tears up, I ope they will be as helpful.
My 2019 Toyota Camry has 23 000 miles and I was going to get the gold plan but after careful consideration and finding out all that is excluded it is not worth it to me. Two people I know have Camrys older than mine with over 250,000 miles and have not had any thing go wrong with their Camrys. So when I called to cancel I ended up angry because the young man on the other end actually started arguing with me about not getting the coverage he was quite rude! My son is a mechanic and he can fix any problems I might have. END OF STORY I DO NOT WANT IT.
I had a Ford F150 with an eco-boost engine. All the timing chain and phasers went out at 41,000 miles. I had to wait and use a rental minivan for three weeks. Just so they could wait for an adjuster to come down and examine the parts before they would even order them, and then I had to wait for them to be approved and fix my truck. I thought that was a little too long.
So far I am pretty satisfied. Not sure why the bill is not paid at 100 percent.
The mechanic ran into a major difficulty and I am waiting to see if it will be paid. Stay tuned.
