Do not waste your time. When I start this class it was named Jobeasy and now they have changed the company name to Careerist. I have been looking for a job for 3 years and haven't got one yet. Because they have written on my resume 3 years of QA experience but that company is not real. See attached their massage. They don't want to know any student that they are giving fake company names on their resume.
This is my first online course. I took the one of Sales Engineer. The instructor showed a vast knowledge of the subject and his passion for the technology world. Really helpful and informative, particularly found the whiteboard explanations and diagrams added value.
The Sales Engineer course always seemed really daunting and I thought Careerist had to be some kind of genius to do it. This course took me to the next level of understanding IT. I loved the hands-on nature of the course - for me it is the perfect way to learn something new.
It's an OK course, but it's NOT going very deep into the topics. It goes a little deeper about Jira. If you have 0 knowledge about PC, this will be harder to learn, but it is enough to become a tester or pass an interview.
I enrolled in the Sales Engineering Program for $3,250 in January 2023. The positives- the teachers are seasoned Sales Engineers and the other students are very nice. The cons- you will not have enough technical skills to get hired as an SE after completing their program. Please don't let social media stars tell you you will be able to; they were hired during the pandemic. The market is full of new SE's trying to find jobs. Back to Careerist- It is more like an intro SE course, but they don't tell you that. Careerist acts like you will be able to get an SE job right away when you have your first appointment/phone call to pay for the course. The course slides are not anything you can't Google or find on YouTube. There is no homework. Everyone passes the end of class mock interview and 5-10 minute student demo presentation. They pretend like you won't pass but you will. The non-tech "mentors" do not provide any tech insight and give wrong advice by asking you to lie on your resume saying you have skills that you do not. My Careerist group had 70+ people and not one of us have gotten an SE job in 4 months. I reached out to previous groups from the November and December cohorts and they haven't found SE jobs either. A handful of them have gotten jobs in Tech sales not SE. The price for the class is not worth it. They sell you a dream but you will NOT be able to get an SE job simply by taking the Careerist bootcamp even if you have a college degree. The contract they ask you to sign prevents you from suing them or filing a class action law-suit against them. Trust me we want to sue! They also use current Careerist students during the "internship" to sign up new students every cohort. They coach you on how to convince new students to sign up to pay. The internship did not teach us anything new that the classes did not. Dont go into debt to take this program. There are cheaper programs you can find and free resources on LinkedIn. Currently, Sales Engineers need hands-on experience of 3-5 years to get hired. This bootcamp will not be enough. I 100% wish I could get my money back.
I completed the Tech Support course through Careerist. After looking at the job market, from what I have seen, any job you look for companies, hiring managers expect employees to handle multiple roles in the IT field. So just about anywhere you go, you will need to provide some kind of support to end-users. This course helps me stand out from other candidates seeking employment. It might also help me to obtain a higher starting salary with the actual hands-on experience gained in the Careerist's program.
The Sales Engineer course was exciting, energetic and practical, with activities based on implementing what we'd learnt to our roles. It turned out to be really useful to my future work in IT. Good mix of lecture and group participation/sharing of experiences. Trainers were clearly enthused by the material.
"I'm now a happy UX Design graduate from Careerist. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to my career. The training has taught me how to approach and plan my work in a way that will be most valuable to my clients and, ultimately, the end consumers of the goods. I have used the knowledge I have acquired to great effect on my projects. As a UX designer, I am constantly searching for solutions to extremely challenging issues. I've grown more confident in my profession because to the training, articles, and even their Facebook community from Careerist.
I wholeheartedly endorse Careerist classes and strongly urge you to enroll. You will get a lot of value, which is quite satisfying."
I wanted to feedback on the totally brilliant Manual QA course I attended five months ago. It has changed both my job and personal life in such a positive way already. I have been able to employ the skills and tips I learnt, with great results almost immediately. The experience with Careerist from start to finish was faultless. I can see why your company is called this name. I have recommended the course to some of my friends.
The online style of the Sales Engineer course was great. The voice reading, pictures, and graphical arrangement worked so well for me. I enjoyed the innovative topics offered. Equally, it helps people to start a new career in IT.
Careerist made it easier to switch from my previous career to testing. The instructors are always improving the courses to make sure we learn the skills required by the current industry. Overall I found that my teachers were well prepared, clear in their explanations and always ready to help. The only issue that I had with the course is the lack of writing material to refer too. Certain lessons were outdated as well but it is too expect when programmes are changing all the time. Instructors were quick to react in this case and we never lost lesson time because of it. During our project week, instructors made sure to guide us without doing the work for us and I believe that really helps set the new skills we were taught. Finally, the support with the job search has been outstanding, Careerist staff was very responsive and always ready to help.
So far Careerist is the best IT Training institute I have ever found in US. Their curriculum is really industry standard. I have taken the QA Engineering course from here, and I loved everyday going there. Instructors are so professional and friendly. The best thing about them that they have a full learning management system, they record the class and share with the student later. So even if anyone misses a class will have opportunity to recap. Also, a student gets a lifetime classroom access once they sign up with them. I am recommending everyone to come and check-out their studying process.
Graduating from Systems Engineering course at Careerist was one of the most challenging yet rewarding things I have done in my life!
I highly recommend the program. The teachers were super knowledgeable, the curriculum well developed and the career coach super supportive. Be ready to spend 6 months of completely dedicating yourself to studying. The program is very fast passed and includes both front-end and back-end engineering. I was able to find a job after 1 month of graduation.
Thank you, I obtained so much knowledge in the Sales Engineer course and am very thankful for this opportunity. The course was surprisingly easy to follow and being able to actually see going from something as simple as a text file to an actual interactive page in such a short time. Hands-on made it memorable for me.
A few months ago, the Sales Engineer at Careerist came to an end. 100% endorse! They demonstrate what to do and what not to do during sales calls throughout the course. I went from applying to 5–10 jobs a day without a mechanism in place to monitor my progress to completely knowing that you need to already be in the SDR mindset when looking for a sales job. Consider these businesses as prospects, and try to close the deal by getting hired. Good luck and, assuming you're interested in the course,
Fabulous Tech Support course. So much material! It was great, but I now know how much more work we have left to do. The instructor has extensive, international CM knowledge and he taught the course as a true believer. His teaching style was relaxed but informative, and he showed respect for the experiences of his students.
The Manual QA course offered by Careerist is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become a successful manual software quality assurance tester. The course covers topics such as software development life cycle, testing methodologies, and test case creation and execution. Students will also get hands-on experience with testing tools and techniques commonly used in the industry. With a focus on practical skills and real-world scenarios, this course can be a great choice for those looking to start a career in manual QA or for those who want to improve their existing skills.
I knew something had to change in my sales approach. Then I discovered Careerist and the Sales Engineer online course. I was early into my training and started seeing huge benefits by qualifying prospective clients earlier. I also became far more comfortable talking about budgets and decision making processes with prospects and clients. Plus what I was learning about customer referrals alone was worth its weight in gold. How I do business and who I do business with has me brimming with new possibilities. Thank you Careerist
The Manual QA course is well organized and conducted, and memorable. It had thoughtful theories, models, many quality assessments and tests. The whole process was really interesting and engaging. The amount of provided help and confidence was tremendous. All these gave me strong support going forward in my career. I landed a position in an international company based in the US, working as a verification and validation engineer. I can honestly say that I applied the information I learned from the course everyday, and it made the early stages of the position so much easier. I really recommend the course to anyone thinking about a career in software quality assurance and testing.
Going into the online Manual QA course, I was really worried about distractions. Having done eLearning in the past, I know I am the type of person who does best in a physical classroom, with the trainer right in front of me. To my surprise, it felt as if the trainer was right in front of me. She did an awesome job of keeping us all engaged, and free from distractions. I never thought I would say this, but I can't wait to take more courses this way. Thank you Careerist for another fantastic experience.
