I would not recommend this company to anyone. Communication is a nightmare; results are very poor, program is not user friendly and employees will contradict each other. We signed up with Career Builder 10/19/17 and soon started to see the results were awful. On January 19th I made my first contact regarding our results. Spoke with our rep she told me she didn't know why we were not getting results because we were doing everything right. She made a few suggestion and we mad the adjustments on our end. This happened 3 times, contacted they suggested I made changes and still results didn't change. So I contact one more time but this time no one replied so I did some online research and found 2 managers email addresses VP Sales and Senior Sales Manager. I quickly emailed them with all my contacts previously. By this time we had to sign back up with our previous company or we would never get any employees so now we are paying two companies. This is now April, and we had to come to the realization this company costs us way to much man power. We have to contact them non-stop and hope they reply or have a temporary solution to boost our results. It's time to sever ties well guess what even tho we have not delivered on anything we told you when you signed up you still have to pay 50% of the remaining contract balance. Thank you Career Builder for teaching us a lesson!
CareerBuilder welcomed me to their site one day. I did not create an account and had not heard of them before. I assumed it was spam and ignored the email. I received a few inquiries from recruiters the next day and emailed the CareerBuilder support team to remove/delete my account immediately as I did not create it.
I did not hear back. I reported every email they sent as spam and filled out their surveys saying that they need to verify accounts better. (at least email verification, this is 2018) One week later and I am getting 3 calls a day about open positions all claiming to have found my information on CareerBuilder.
I decided to go recover my account and delete it myself. Luckily that worked. Apparently I was signed up with my linkedin profile as my resume. It was barely filled out, most of the information wrong. Only my degree, phone number and email were filled out correctly. This leads me to believe that every recruiter that contacted me did not even look at my resume. They are the definition of spam, you should subscribe to every job posting in your area as that would provide much better value than the emails from "recruiters" you get from CareerBuilder.
Ever since I created a profile on Career Builder, I am constantly contacted by Scammers. At least 1 per day if not 2. Are there any real employers using Career Builders?
Out of work and down on my luck. Completed profile and uploaded resume. All I get are scammers texting or emailing me for interviews with companies that ARE NOT hiring.
I keep getting e-mails saying they pulled my resume from careerbuilder, and EVERY SINGLE JOB E-MAIL I HAVE RECEIVED THAT MENTIONS THIS is pretty much a scam. They don't mention what the companies are or a number to call, just what the pay is (usually too good to be true), some general info, what they want from you, and sketchy e-mail profiles to reply to. STEER CLEAR FROM THIS SITE.
Talking to Chutiya Fraud right now. Not sure how people fall in their trap despite with very first conversation anyone can understand they are cheap and fraud
I joined I think maybe in the last 24 to 72 hours and have already had two companies contact me that were complete scams everything they were offering sounded great, but then I got to thinking why would they offer someone with just a high school education a job of administrative assistant starting at 30.50 an hour and why would they want me to do an interview over an app called telegram the other one I got from that site was just this morning offering like 40 an hour both positions I am clearly not qualified for period so yeah this site used to be an awesome site to find a Career but it seems like it has turned into a ton of scams. So Buyer BEWARE! I DO NOT RECOMEND JOINING THIS SITE! If you are looking for a job it is a bunch of BS
Received 3 job offers right away. I was so excited! Sigh! SMH! Waste of freakin time! I know that I know better! Ugh No one is paying people $30 plus for data entry
As an Employer trying to add an additional resource to our recruiting efforts, we've been trying for almost two weeks to contact somebody at CB (VM, Email, Request for Demo, etc.). Finally tried the "Technical Support" number and got an individual on the line that sounded like she was working from a tunnel with her cell phone. I've had a better connection when calling North Korea.
I was able to get her enough information thru her crackling phone so that she could forward me to a Sales Rep who also sounded like he was working in a wind tunnel with a burner phone. Asked him to call me back with the hope of a better connection... "Sure no problem, what's your information? I've call you in a couple minutes." Never called me back.
Not sure what happened to Career Builder, but they are nowhere near the company they use to be.
Horrible response time (actually zero response), horrible Customer Service, and if you're talking to a C-Level Executive maybe try to be a bit more professional other than "Hey Man" or "I Gotchu".
As a recruiter, I would advise everyone to stay away from this company, you will get excessive number of spams and scammers, literally not a single good local candidate, their posting tools have a lot of flaws and they are frustrating to work with… their sales team will lie about the agreement and they hide a lot of policies and when you try to contact them, they just don't answer calls or emails, CareerBuilder is a misleading and fraudulent company…STAY AWAY!
Careerbuilder continues to post jobs for SurveySay.com after several requests that they label this company's job postings as NON-TRADITIONAL. SurveySay.com is an online survey company, not a regular job and is similar to Global Survey Group which has also posted on Careerbuilder.com. They labeled their job postings as NON-TRADITIONAL. There is no difference between both companies. Job hunters are led to believe that they will receive CASH. Nope, you will not. You only receive bonus points which you have to use to buy services or products from their clients online. Yes, you may get $15.00 if you are lucky, but they never give you enough surveys to meet the MINIMUM required to get paid so you can pay some bills. Careerbuilder needs to do a better job at "protecting" the job hunters that visit their site and listen to those of us who report "weird" job postings. The botton to report this company has been removed by Careerbuilder.com so that we can no longer report SurveySay.com to Careerbuilder.com. Yet, Careerbuilder.com CLAIMS that EVERY job posting has a "Report It" button. Nope, the one on SurveySay.com went bye, bye...
First, I hate to down-rate another persons efforts. I like to believe the best intentions of anyone who offers service for the good of society. But when a public service becomes a threat to the welfare of those it's meant to serve, someone should cry wolf, to warn others.
No sooner than you put your resume on CareerBuilder site than crooks of all shades and colors pounce on you calling, texting, emailing with the most ridiculous offers you've ever heard of! The pretentious 'employers' and 'HR's' etc, etc, can't so much as construct a grammatically coherent sentence. And they've already approved an application you never made, decided on a salary for a job you never requested, and won't give you a moment to breathe because they are all over you like a pack of wolves. What's more, your email address is now public property, because the email that "approves your application" (sic) is also copied to a gazillion other applicants, and each can see the other's email address.
If CareerBuilder is really serious about offering this kind of service, why, in God's name, can't they find a way to vet, let alone weed out bogus players from their site? What point do they hope to make by asking victims of the hyenas they've accommodated in their platform to report to FBI? If the only way to find a job is by exposing yourself to identity thieves, then you have a home at CareerBuilder. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!
Most of the jobs listed are wither not hiring anymore, staffing agencies ot not in the city. If you put your search for Philadelphia, posrings from phonixville come up
I put a resume in at CB. I was contacted by a company offering over $30.00 an hour work from home.
Turns out they were one of many companies that scam WFH applicants, and students.
This fraud used the name of a real medical research company in Switzerland and who also has satellite companies in America.
The scam entails sending a cashier's check electronically. You're told to deposit it and send a screen capture of the deposit confirmation back to the company.
Then you're told you'll need to use your own money to get started to work. But that cashier's check will pay it back once it clears.
This takes a full ten business days.
But, most banks will alot a portion of the funds to be used, depending on your own balance prior to the deposit in a day.
That check never clears because it's a fraud.
But if you paid out of pocket for those things the company told you to buy from a vendor they never name, you'll be out of those monies. Because your real own money was sent to that fake company/vendor.
Your interview for the job that is also fake takes place over Skype. No video or audio. It's all texting. Which warns you that these pirates are not from Switzerland.
All because it appears CB doesn't vet companies that put ads on their site.
Which makes you wonder if any job site companies do.
I posted my resume, got scammed by somebody... I supposedly got hired to work from I got ripped for 1,300. Dollars. Use at your own risk
Where is the ZERO STAR option? Complete waste of my time! Not sure when I came across this site but worst thing ever! Started getting emails from a health company in the UK (I am in the states) telling me I have an interview scheduled for "right now and I needed to respond quickly because the sooner I jump on Skype the better my chances are to get the job! Then I get a text message from someone who seem halfway okay. Kinda on guard because they texted me and didn't call! But I gave them shadow of the doubt. Something seemed off throughout our how conversation. When she asked me for my Skype ID I decided to log on to Career Bulider to double check I did apply to this job. Well when I took the time to check I hadn't applied to any job in this website and my resume wasn't even up loaded! So how did you get my application and resume from a website that didn't have it on there? Read a review on this site that said the same thing and how she deleted her account. So my account was then deleted but I bet that doesn't stop the emails or text messages! Just keep looking for other websites that will actually help you find a job and don't waste your time on this one. Your wasting your time and the right job may pass you by if your playing around this one.
It is all about money and not about service. Careerbuilder does not perform, not communicate and is simply a terrible company. Avoid it! I would give 0 starts if this was possible!
Not going to go into details but an absolute scam. Applied for a job advertised that doesn't even exist and now get constant phone calls n emails. SCUM, SCUM, SCUM!
If you are out of work or just trying to upgrade your next job careerbuilder might be a place to check out. This site has hundreds of jobs that go back at least 30 days. The problem with it is that your resume is put into a pile of thousands and so not really noticed by employeers who might come to this web to search for possible employees. But have no fear for some bucks careerbuilder will upgrade you to the front of the line and that way you can get noticed by searching employers.
The website is very popular and there by your chances of jobs posted there are excellent but the problem with it is trying to stand out. I recommand that you see which employers are looking for someone in your field and send and write them directly, don't use the site to submit your resume as the employer will get hundreds from this site in this fashion instead write an introductory letter and attach your resume to it and send it by the post office, make sure that it is professionally done (this runs between $75 AND $250 depending on which service you use) and use good resume paper and send it directly to the hiring manager( you can get the name simply by calling up the company).
A company could not possibly have worse customer service or more people who simply DON'T CARE! It literally took a WEEK to place an ad with them - the same ad I placed in 5 minutes on other sites. They had site issues, didn't reply to my emails, gave me useless help (when they did), and then gypped me out one day in my ad - never mind the fact that NO ONE offered to discount a $395 ad for my WEEKLONG INCONVENIENCE! Time is money and I wasted BOTH with the useless company! I highly suggest everyone avoid CAREER BUILDER, based on the lousy service and uncaring attitudes that I experienced! #neveragain!
Answer: The site exposes you to phishing companies from other countries. Apply at your own risk!
