California Driver Ed Course

You can't open the website on a computer, and when you load it on a phone it is the worst website ever. The layout is the most basic layout and looks like the website took 10 minutes to make. As for the content of the course, it's just copy and pasted. It's extremely boring and terrible compared to other drivers ed sites. DO NOT BUY.

I wish I had done the tiniest bit of research before using this site, its unbelievably bad, slow and boring. And it's gotten worse since the other reviews. You used to be able to get through the whole module (excruciatingly slow text included) and then wait, now every single section of the course and subsequent quiz has a timer, of which there are ~10-12 per the 12 modules. On top of that, the writing is quite bad, often copy pasted laws, and there were hardly any pictures (or probably not at all, can't quite remember). Do literally any other course if you can afford it.

The courses are not good, like every other reviewers said but be careful as after the course it will automatically subscribe you to Allstate Roadside thing for 5$ a month.So, I advice you to look up the subscription in your profile and cancel it other wise you will unknowingly pay for the useless subscription.

I admit I should have looked into different sites before buying this course but it was cheap so I went for it. The whole course is done reading power points made in 2012 with the annoying fading in animation put on every single damn line. Then when you get to the quiz, its just 5 questions that were often so obvious and stupid, I remember one asked something like "I should drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. True or False?"...
Also, it's a timed course, meaning you're given 40 or something minutes to read and when you're done you still have a lot of time left over, and now you'll have to wait in order to move on. I swear I watched a whole movie waiting for the timer and when I finished, it was still going. My certificate did come in with my name, date of completion, and all the other necessary information, so at least there's that. If you're a teenager looking for a driver's ed program to take like me, I really recommend looking at other sites that are just as cheap and not as dull as this one.

This website is outdated, not only visually, but statistically. Their statistics are from 2009 and incorrect, as of today. This course is the reason I have still not gotten my permit. I got it 11 months ago and just finished it today, because it is so damn boring and just an awful, painful, stressful experience. When we purchased this course, we were under false pretenses that it had 4.7 out of 5 stars (the reviews they link must be fake).
Anyways, the text fades in slower than I'm reading it, and each page takes a decade to load. There are really crappy transitions for EVERY SINGLE GOD DAMNED LINE OF TEXT; fading in, spinning, etc. If you go to the next page or go back, you have to re-watch every transition. There is no option to skip the stupid transitions.
The lesson itself is tedious, with an entire like 5-hour unit of just straight-up traffic law codes straight from the book (e.g. §******* The Department of Transportation shall, after consultation with local agencies and public hearings…).
There are like 3 diagram, images, or videos throughout the whole course, and some of them don't even show up or play (they will just say "see image", and there is nothing there, or the image fades in after like 5 minutes). If you miss something in the video or image, you have to go to the next page and back again to rewatch the entire thing, transitions and all, and hope you don't miss it this time.
Each page has a time limit before you can move on, ranging from 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. I read at a normal pace and end up waiting an hour to go to the quiz. Not to mention if I do something else, there is this security question every 10 minutes that you have 10 SECONDS to answer and if you get it wrong 3 times you are permanently locked out of your account that you paid for.
I ended up just not reading it and setting timers for me to move my mouse around or whatever, to get through the course, and take the final test. The questions are ridiculously easy and nothing like the actual test question. I got a 90% on the final exam with only actually reading the first 10 units (of 15).
This site has long been abandoned and is a borderline scam. The reviews are fake, the costs are not fully advertised up-front, and the material is outdated.
If I had taken a different course, I'd have my license by now. This course is a waste of time, money, and frustration.

In my short span of 15 years, I have never, ever dealt with something so awful in my entire life. For starters at RANDOM times a question will pop up and you have ten seconds to answer it, at first that doesn't seem so bad, but if you miss ONLY $#*!ING 3 you get locked out and have to call there bull$#*! tech support. The unknowing consumer would think to themselves, how hard is it to not miss three random security question. Well let me $#*!ing tell you, each so called "module" or lesson on there bull$#*! sight, ranges from a 30 minute course to a 2 1/2 hour course. Any normal literate person who can read at a normal rate can finish reading there stupid bull$#*! course within 30 minutes. So your stuck waiting for the TWO WHOLE $#*!ing hours sitting there before you can go on to the next lesson.( Over the time you take this course you must log 30 hours to complete it) Any sane person in this world would I don't know, for example go use the restroom while your waiting for the two hours, BUT OH wait! You cant because at random times a security question will pop up and if its not answered within the 10 seconds they give you it counts as one of the 6 "free" security question misses you have. Long story short I got $#*!ed by this company with three security questions and had to call them to unlock my account. Now, I thought I learned from my mistakes and didn't leave the computers sight. Everything was going well until another question popped up and it happened to be a question about the color of my eyes. I answered the question with blue my $#*!ING eye color and it kicked me out and said my account has been banned for missing a security question. I Called mow mow from Tibet who claims his name is Sean even though he sounds like a tin $#*!ing can, and he tells me that I answered the question incorrectly. I told him my situation and how the first ever security question I missed because I accidentally clicked green for my eye color instead of blue. He then proceeded to tell that the way their system works is if you answer a security question incorrectly, the next time that question comes up the WRONG ANSWER YOU SELECTED BECOMES THE ANSWER THE NEXT TIME. WHAT KIND OF WACK, 3RD WORLD COUNTRY BULL$#*! IS THAT! HOW THE $#*! DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENCE, HOW CAN THE WRONG $#*!ING ANSWER BE THE RIGHT ANSWER THE NEXT TIME. $#*! this stupid website, and not only that the way they give the information to you is also trash, stupid pictures that do not display what their talking about in the reading is a big part of it. I hope the this company burns in hell and the CEO's family is raped and he is forced to watch. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST. Not only after you answer the six questions incorrectly do you lose your account, when I was at 20/30 hours. You also don't even get a free code to make another account. Not only do they $#*! you and you lose your account and hours, they expect you to spend another 30 $#*!ING DOLLARS TO MAKE ANOTHER ACCOUNT. I have nothing else to say besides I advise anyone who's going to endeavor into getting their permit, to do some research on the best company to give you money to. I hope people learn from my stupid mistakes
