This place sucks no customer service ordered what I believe was a great deal $47 for a thousand round case after ordering it noticed it only was going to weigh 1 lb per box ordered two who wouldn't for that price called customer service they told me it was only a 50-round box not 1000 round case did it said it was should have honored the purchase and sent me 2,000 round boxes
Product may be good but I wouldn't know. Budsgunshop sent me an empty product container. I've spoke with 3 different customer service reps since Jan 13 and have got no information back? At minimum let me know you have received my email and their mistake (sending an empty package) is being investigated.
Great selection and decent prices. But beware! Never, EVER finance with them. Their financial partner is well known scam. And buds will do nothing about it. They are literally charging 105 % Interest. That is $#*!ing criminal
They only gave me 90 days pay off a 1589.00 layaway I paid 988 and asked for an extension till 15th Sept and try trade a 600 pistol.in to.pay what was left owing and they refused. So I'm not ever going back there and all I owed was 601.50 and I was going pay that. But canceled my layaway did not give me store credit for what I paid on it. We'll now if anyone want know better places to go email me at *******@yahoo.com and I'm send u best places I've found. Because if buds keeps my money and do not give me store credit on something else we are finished and I'm taking as many customers away from them as possible.
I realize everyone has a different experience but here is mine...
On July 25th 2024 I purchased an item from Buds Gun Shop in Kentucky. Online it said it was in stock, but I also called to double check and the rep confirmed it was indeed in stock.
So I place the order expecting that if it is in stock it should ship within a few days. I then get a notice that this is a "special order item" that will take an additional 7 days to ship on top of the already 3-7 days quoted for actual in stock items.
I call the rep and after they tell me this is a special order item again they also mention it has to ship from an affiliate warehouse. So for anyone that doesnt know - they didnt actually have it in stock but they know a distributor that did have it in stock. So they had to ship to Buds Gun Shop and Buds would then ship it to me.
After they tell me of the timeline I decide to cancel as I knew of another company that actually had it stock and ready to ship. So I cancel the order. The rep tells me there is a 10% cancellation fee. I did see this at the time of the order and if something was actually in stock and I wanted to cancel I totally get it. This wasnt the case here. It wasnt in Buds possession to charge the 10%. Again if Buds Gun Shop had in stock and it was about to ship 1) I wouldnt cancel 2) I would totally understand getting hit with the charge and there was effort by staff to prepare it. Again - not the case here at all.
Question: If its in stock why is it a special order item?
So I tell the rep - cancel the order and I am disputing the 10% - which was $140 cancellation fee with my CC company. She puts me on a brief hold to speak her supervisor I am sure and comes back to tell me "if you dispute the charge we will mark your account and you can never buy from us again".
So why in God's name would I want to buy from a dishonest company ever again?
As always, easy transaction. Been using Bud's for years. Never a problem! Very easy to order on Bud's site. Plus you always get the Norton Shopping Guarantee and prompt shipping!
You can buy a firearm from one of many different dealers across the country.
Based on my experience, I doubt that you'll find a better dealer when it comes to customer service than Bud's, not only after the sale but during the purchase process as well. I am a repeat customer and will be again!
Online business with Buds is risky. Don't do it. Save yourself headaches. Now I must try to get my money back.
Actually 0 stars not even a 1 they Sold me a defective AR57 upper barrel and will not stand behind it, they were rude and pretty much told me oh well tough luck. Horrible customer Service and company
"A gun mat I paid for never arrived. I paid extra for the insurance too. Buds Guns Shop customer service rep told me they will only help if I have the shipping boxes from everything else that arrived. They were of course in the trash. Ridiculous but true. DO NOT PAY FOR THAT INSURANCE! Its a scam! I have now spent close to $2000 at this online store. I told them a week ago that they need to make this right or I will be shopping elsewhere. They dont seem to care. This is in reference to order #******* where I paid an extra $47.75 for the full refund for items lost /damaged during shipping. P.S. The customer service rep gave me an email to respond to that does not exist as the icing on the cake. Here was their respone, notice the wrong email they told me to respond to (****@****)... "Thank you for contacting us here at Budsgunshop.com! We greatly appreciate your patronage. I do apologize to hear about that. Our shipping hub advises that they sent the product as ordered. Ordered a pistol from Buds. It'll be the last time I order from Buds. Every other place at a minimum 2nd day airs it to the destination. Not Buds. I guess they feel USPS ground is the best place for my firearm. Oh because I'm in Alaska they have to ship it the slowest way possible. Because driving through Canada or barging up from Washington is much better than it flying up like all the other online gun stores I've bought from. Nope not buds. Hey we've sat on your order for a week, chosen the cheapest way to ship it so wait over two weeks to get it. So all in it takes over 3 weeks to purchase a gun from Buds. What a joke.
Bought a Springfield Armory 1911 Loaded Target advertised as new. When received it had worn marks in the mag well, on both sides of the trigger, scratch marks in the exterior stainless all that was not from factory test fires. The Springfield packaging the gun came in was excessively worn. The FFL used also said the gun was not in factory new condition. Apparently the gun was purchased and tried out by several buyers, therefore "not" factory new. Bud's replaced the gun with another same 1911 that was more worn than the first and also with excessivly worn factory packaging. Returned both guns to Bud's then purchased the same gun thru a local dealer that was definitely "factory new". Only received a full refund after Visa disputed it with Bud's for three months. Several gun dealers told me my experience is the same that has happened to other online customers around the country. This was my first and last experience with Bud's. I won't buy anything from them again.
These are listed as semi jackted at Buds, which the box clearly indicates these are
Complete metal jackted hollow points.
This may seem like an insignificant fact, but actually makes all the difference in the world. Testing on gel media indicates the way this bullet is constructed, combined with the slower velocity of the.38 spl. Acts like a fmj with no hollow point.
If it we're a semi jackted hp as Buds claims them to be, they would act more like the remington sjhp and expand like a hollow point should at the slower.38 spl. Velocities.
I apologize in advance for this being such a long-winded review, but there's a bit of a back-story here. In 37 years, I've never been treated so poorly by customer service personnel. I placed an order for a Cimmaron 1851 Navy on Saturday. When I logged into my account on Monday to check its status, the order showed as being cancelled. I was baffled, considering my bank account had already been charged and I wasn't notified of this cancellation via text, email, or phone call. That's a reasonable expectation, is it not? When I called to inquire, I was simply told that "Bud's doesn't feel comfortable doing business with you." An hour later, after being berated by their supervisor (Troy), I was finally able to speak with a Manager (James). His disposition wasn't any better, and he proceeded to tell me that Bud's doesn't do business with "unreasonable" customers. Apparently the issue stemmed from a transaction that took place over nine years ago, in which I purchased a CZ handgun— a transaction I had long since forgotten about up until the following events jogged my memory.
You see, In 2015 I had never done business with Bud's before, and negative reviews for their company were very prominent at that time, but they were the only ones I could find that had the CZ Compact in stock. I was anxious after not receiving any indication that my order had even been received (it wasn't visible in order history, and I never got an email confirmation), despite having been charged for the firearm. When I called to express my concern and desire to cancel the order, I was told that I'd be charged a 10% cancellation fee. I threatened to take the issue up with my credit card company (whom sided with me on the matter), and I've apparently been black-listed by Bud's as a result— even though they never communicated this to me.
I've purchased countless firearms from numerous online vendors, and I have an A+ rating on Gun Broker for some 40+ transactions as both a buyer/seller but I'm an unreasonable deadbeat according to Bud's. Oh well… good riddance! I'd rather not do business with such a petty and vindictive company anyhow.
Fortunately, this story has a happy ending: I purchased the London model 1851 (typically more expensive) for less than what Bud's was asking for the standard version. I bought it from another company that actually wants my business and values me as a customer.
Lots of products and decent pricing. However, takes FOREVER to get stuff and customer support is extremely poor and hard to get to a live person. When you finally do all they do is quote policy vs actually helping you
Ordered a firearm. Decided 3 hours later that I wanted to cancel the sale. Of course no one answered the phone. Called during open business hours, recording said they were closed. I sent numerous requests to cancel. Then I get an email saying they need to talk to me about the order. Tried calling again no answer. I SENT 25 CANCELED IMMEDIATELY REQUESTS. JUST TO BE AN $#*!. BUT WHY DO THEY NEED TO TALK. ITS PENDING SHIPPING. THEY ALREADY CHARGED 405.00 ON MY CREDIT CARD AS PENDING. I ORDERED FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY THAT WAS CHEAPER. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND THEIR PREDATORY TACTICS. IF THEY DONT CANCEL, I WILL DISPUTE CHARGES WITH CREDIT CARD COMPANY.
"While I respect everyone's reviews and have not had issues with my prior purchases from Buds, I purchased a P365 Macro that included a second magazine that was clearly used. It was wrapped in a small plastic bag and while I inspected the gun, I did not look at the magazine. The finish was worn off and there is a small amount of rust on both sides! I have given them several business days (not including the holidays) to respond and all I have gotten is is a generic email telling me that if I had any questions or concerns about my order to contact them. I have sent several emails asking them if they would like pictures and asked if they were going to make things right as they should with any customer. I have gotten NO response. Clearly this company has taken their customer service to a new low. BUYER BEWARE!
They really suck! Their web is the worst! Tried to busy a SW AR15 and their web kept on crashing. I think this is SCAM!
Bought a hand gun that showed stock but wasn't. I called to cancel and was told there would be a 10% restocking fee, 2- weeks later I still don't have the gun. I left a review on their site and they deleted it. Last time buying anything from Buds!
U can't speak to a human! Tried over 10 times on hold over 20 min up to 42 before I hung up! Say use Norton they want respond! Buds takes no responsibility for anything! They sell so many guns, they don't care! Shop around there are much cheaper prices out there! So upset on my treatment I'm doing this everyday until they stop me!
Answer: The bottom line! Is all that matters! Use them a couple times, and you'll see!
