Advertised as extended stay, prices comparable to others. Small glitch! No sheets, pillows or kitchen utinsels or dishes. I was surprised! To find this since most person who are looking for extended stay accommodations don't carry this stuff with them. Without this they are priced the same or higher than most. Seems to be another downfall of the housing market, pinching the families that need it most.
Horrific company. Do not stay at these properties. Could write a whole book about the awful experiences and the fact that the property was dangerous but I will just mention the worst thing that could happen to a tenant did. My dogs were stolen. Stay away from the management and keep your animals away from them. Furthermore whoever the president is is just as mean and cruel as the on site staff. My animals were stolen and then resold. Never saw them again or got any resolution or any apology. Sorry we ever went there and we never got our deposits back either. Gutless, evil and dishonest people. All the bad that happens in Las Vegas should never stay there because people should know and the public should know about these crimes that happen to legitimate renters. Like I said I could write a book. They knew what they did was wrong. But also that someone has no recourse. Management enforces weekly or sudden "inspections." Stay someplace where you and your property will be safe. Some plaintive but sound advice: do NOT open the door. Wish it weren't the case but yes, this is a truthful review.
Oh my this place had prostitution rings all through the building and around. I was targeted in room#A3014 and room B1025 when I stayed at the Tropicana Budget suites in December 2016 and Feb. 2017. Wow they did want to give me my $100 deposit and I got the first one now they owe a second we will see. Some crazy pounded unjustly on my wall and I was on the top floor and could not sleep. The owner bigielow have space age technologly some aeorospace system company. Well you know what they say about Arco and harp systems. Just let's say a lot of wierd space age noise and then they threaten to throw you out but it does not come from your apartment goes on? And these places keep your monies claiming you violated there noise rules. This is illegal if its not from your room how are you going to prove it. I called the police in Vegas they helped and I moved I will never go back this place is reallly shady. It's no Bigielow the theatre but Biggie_low or smals style ocean 11 stuff goes on it the area beware.
Answer: Budget Suites of America requires 48 hours' WRITTEN, "formal" notice of your intent to check out in order for you to get your deposit back. Verbally informing staff and/or management of your intention to check out--even if they acknowledge it at the time you tell them--will not be considered "proper" notice, and they (intentionally) will NOT tell you they REQUIRE your notice in WRITING before, during, or after your stay. How and why does Budget Suites do this? They're sneaky... Buried in the fine print of the paperwork Budget Suites' guests sign when they check in is a clause specifying that *IF*--upon check-out--you: 1.) remove all belongings and trash, 2.) thoroughly clean the unit (including the toilet, sinks, tub, mirrors, carpet, floors, closet, microwave, refrigerator, oven, stove, countertops, furniture, and windows) to Budget Suites' satisfaction, 3.) submit your WRITTEN notice of intent to check out 48 hours in advance, and 4.) return all sets of room keys to the office, Budget Suites MAY refund A PORTION of your deposit. Why only a portion? Because--also in the fine print--is another sneaky stipulation that inexplicably designates a certain percentage (I think it's 25-35%) of guests' deposits as "non-refundable." There are literally hundreds of online reviews left by confused, frustrated, and irate former Budget Suites' guests complaining about this exact issue (among myriad other horrors): never receiving their deposit refund after checking out. It's my humble opinion that this is not an oversight or "accident," but an unethical, unprofessional, slimy tactic Budget Suites employs deliberately to avoid returning guests' deposits. Budget Suites--unlike traditional, legitimate "extended stay" hotels--has become part of the vast and growing "poverty industry." Unscrupulous, exploitative businesses like payday lenders, title loan stores, pawn shops, and home furniture, appliance and electronics rental stores, are major operators in the "poverty industry." They market to--and prey on--those with very limited resources, and even fewer options. Many in this disadvantaged group are unaware of their rights, but even those who DO know their rights rarely have the time, energy, or money to pursue recourse when they inevitably get screwed. Hence, shady players like Budget Suites swindle customers out of their deposits--and get away with it on questionable and flimsy technicalities. I'm sorry Budget Suites didn't return your deposit...
