I had a deeply disappointing and costly experience due to misleading information provided by their customer service representative, Amanda. I mistakenly selected the wrong date for a performance and realized the error just minutes after completing the purchase. I immediately contacted Broadway Direct via email to request either a reschedule or a refund. Amanda responded by advising me to let the performance date pass without scanning the tickets, and assured me that I could follow up afterward to seek a resolution. Trusting this guidance, I followed her instructions. However, the day after the performance, Amanda reversed her position and informed me that, because the show was popular, I no longer had any options for a refund or rescheduling. This sudden change felt like a classic bait-and-switch. I've since tried to appeal for a reconsideration, but my emails have gone unanswered. Had I been accurately informed from the beginning, I could have at least transferred or sold the tickets at a reduced price and recouped some of the $1,050 I ultimately lost. Instead, I was misled and left with no recourse. This experience has not only been financially painful but also deeply frustrating. I strongly advise others to think twice before purchasing tickets through Broadway Direct.
