I've ordered form here many times a mever had an issue until recently. While I know this was their problem to begin with. I can't be more than impressed with their rapid responses from customer service. A book I ordered didn't come in and they covered all costs to get it to me, on an order than got free shipping due to a promo. They responded quickly and sorted out the problem to no extra cost to me, also offering a refund. Excellent experience with them. Will continue to order from here.

Sadly, I stumbled onto your site and decided to try to buy a book from an unknown vendor. Still not sure this is a real website and unsure if I have just been robbed. Have not yet had the opportunity to reach out to the Internet world to ask if this site is BS or an actual operating business. I spent nearly $40 purchasing a book for which this company was quick to take my money, but received nothing in return. Not only did I not receive my product, this company chose to fail to issue a refund for whatever may have gone wrong. Nobody has reached out to me for explanation or solution.
Found it online. Feel stupid for trusting it. Hope they change that before this ordeal is over.

Let me start by saying this, I had a feeling it was too good to be true. I ordered 12 books during a sale and waited over a month for my shipment to arrive. Well when I opened my order only 1 of the 12 books was in the box and another random book I didn't even order. So I proceeded to contact customer service and they did apologize and claimed to have refunded me but I've yet to see that refund.

When I found out about Book Outlet I was excited. As someone who reads a lot and buys too many books, I was happy to find a site selling new books for used prices. I purchased $100 worth of books over 2 orders. It was too good to be true. 5 books came in damaged. Covers bent in half, covers almost ripped off, many pages bent. Book Outlet's return policy states that books can be returned if they are unreadable. So, you pay pay $8-$10 for badly damaged book, but you must keep it if still readable. Wasted $50.

I'm still waiting for a reply after two days.
I'm an avid reader and the prices were great.
Order was based on 1 book not shipped. Missing another. No notification. Slow shipping. Buy elsewhere.
Tip for consumers:
Don't order books that you really are counting on getting. Use 20% discount code when available. There are some good books available but many are undesirable junk.

I ordered 6 books. The main book was not sent and I was not charged, but not notified. Another book was missing from package and I was charged for 5 books. This is bad service - getting 4 out of 6 book ordered. I do not trust them to do business with them again, after this first blundered order.
DO NOT buy anything from this website! It's a complete ripoff and dishonest business. I placed an order over a month ago and still haven't received it. I have reached out and created a ticket on the website and no one ever responds. At this point, they have stolen my $65.
Bought something from them for Christmas gift about 2 weeks before Christmas.
It didn't ship until a couple days before Christmas. Their website makes it appear that they are in New York but in reality they are in Canada. There is absolutely no way to call them and they don't answer emails.
Now it is December 28th and I bought the item where I should have in the first place and had it in time for Christmas and now the damn thing is going to be delivered tomorrow.
If I'm home, I plan to refuse the package and put in a claim with PayPal.
They suck and their customer assistance is non existent. Forget about their stupid low prices. Pay a little more and know that you will get it.

I would give 0 stars if possible. This was my first time ordering from this site and might possibly be my last. I received the box with 0 of the 8 books that I purchased. The box was completely smashed and damaged and not even taped together, causing the books to fall out somewhere during the shipping process. I spent multiple days picking which books I wanted and almost $50 on books that did not make it to my door step. I posted about my experience online and multiple people said their US orders were very similar, damaged box and/or damaged/missing books. People in Canada said they've never had an issue. I've contacted customer service but it's only been 24 hours so I haven't heard back whether I will be shipped the same books I WANTED in hopes they don't get lost again or if I'll be refunded.
I called the number listed on the site for a quicker contacting option. The automated voice message told me to email and hung up on me. No option to speak to a human.
I'm in a Facebook book group that suggested this site for the $5 book sale.
I wanted to pick up reading again. I spent days choosing which books I wanted for both my daughter and I.

My experience started off well, the website was easy to navigate and placing my order was simple. It was when I received my book that I became unsatisfied with my experience. It came in an unlined paper envelope with no bubble wrap or cardboard to protect the book. As a result, the book I received had large bends in multiple places, including right in the middle of the book.
I chose Book Outlet for the cheap and competitive price of the product.
I chose the "Do It For Yourself (Guided Journal): A Motivational Journal" to practice mindfulness.

They don't care about packaging, even when you pay for shipping and send items in messed up boxes without any thing to keep them safe. From Canada to the USA my Christmas presents were damaged and I tried to get help to no avail. First they said they opened a ticket on the website to help me but no ticket appears. I then emailed them about it but got no response. Then I uploaded my own ticket to only find they marked it low priority! They don't care about the products they mail, they don't care they mess up Christmas for someone, they don't even care to do what they say they will do. I want my money back! I'm too poor to give a terrible company my business who sends mangled products because they don't care. I buy books all over the place and never had this experience ever so there is no excuse AND I found out later this is a constant with this company so it's them, no excuses they can make. They know they are doing it and just don't care. I wish I never stumbled on the site cause they treat customers like garbage, just like the products they dump in large junky boxes without protection. It's ridiculous.

Dont buy from them because based on multiple review sights and my experience, 85% of their products come damaged in torn/damaged/inappropriate boxes. Don't buy it your ona deadline, need something that looks new or actually want a good experience every time.

My daughter begged me to buy her a book and when I looked online I saw that Book Outlet carried it. I prefer to buy from smaller companies and hadn't heard of Book Outlet before, so I decided to order from them. I will not make that mistake again. I placed my order on February 27th and bought my daughter's book, plus another one for me since I had to pay for shipping. I got a notice that the order was on its way March 1. My daughter asked me every day when her book was coming. The shipment finally arrived on March 11 and my daughter opened it excitedly to find that only my book was in the large box. I contacted customer service and got a response a day later apologizing and saying they would refund my money but that her book was now out of stock and I could ask to be notified when it was back in stock. Since my daughter had waited so long already, I ended up just ordering from the huge company that I was trying to avoid. I will not try Book Outlet again. I don't understand how an order for two books could be so hard to fulfill. I wish I could get a refund on the other one I ordered, since it didn't even save me money after I paid for shipping. Seriously disappointing. I do not recommend this company.

Not book outlets fault but never received our books even though post office says they are delivered. I wouldn't order again know book outlet uses USPS and not UPS or fedex who have ways to contact them if you don't receive your items.

I had ordered a bunch of childrens books for my niece and never recieved the order. Waiting now to see if they actually refund the money or not. I had to contact them 3 times to get the response I got in the photo.
On 8-1-22 two of my books came damaged. I emailed customer service immediately. I thought I had attached pictures of the damaged books but the customer service rep said they were not attached. I resent the pictures but have not heard back from customer service on this will be resolved. I'm a bit disappointed.

I ordered these books (10 of them) for my newly established book club. My book club meeting was on Saturday the books were going to arrive Tuesday. Although they did come on time the box was mangled and it look like it was just on a soccer field being kicked around. The box was open and all of the books were in poor condition. From dirt and debris to ripped up dust covers. Not to me too mention they were covered red THICK dots on the page bindings. Apparently they mark their books with a SMALL discrete dot but there was nothing discreet about this thick red neon dot that looked very tacky.
I am overall very disappointed. My excitement turned into sorrow when they arrived. Not to mention I do not know how to get a refund since my order was over $100. Now I'm in a battle with PayPal trying to receive a refund. I do not want these books and every time I look at them I am reminded that I was naïve enough to order off of a website I have never heard about.

Absolutely horrible. It took 10 days for the books to arrive (which is ok by itself). But I ordered 12 carefully chosen books for my baby and I got a box of 10+ Christian gospels! Is this a joke?

The boxes arrived damaged and books were missing from the hole in the box. Many of the books had bent corners and folded pages from lack of packing. When we called you get a quick answering machine message and a hang up. Send a email to get a response in one to two days maybe. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed. I ordered $90 worth of books back in February and only two of them arrived. I contacted Book Outlet multiple times and when they finally replied in July, they couldn't give me my money back, just store credit which was fine with me. However, I used that credit on some books and they ALL came damaged. The books were not packaged properly. I don't even want to bother with the return process, and I am just very disappointed.
There is no Customer Service. I paid 109$ for books that never came. Didn't get any money back either. Made out 3 Tickets for help. No help. Be ware don't order from them.
My package was ripped open, a chunk and 2 books missing. 3 others damaged! I am waiting for a refund! Tracy Gendron

I thought I was going to get the original cover of Cirque Du Freak like it showed online however it was the newer version. Also the book arrived dented and damaged, tapped to the packaging and now the book is dented in a weird way. Not ideal at all

Unfortunately, I received someone else's order in a box that had been almost demolished by the shipping company (books were fine). I tried using customer support over the phone only to be hung up on. I then used customer support online and received an auto reply asking for a photo of the damage. The books were not damaged. The order was 100% not my order.
